I don't understand the bad reviews. Just had dinner here and it was amazing! Tasted super…read moreauthentic, just like the food at some of my favorite restaurants in India and the US. I can only compare it to Patravali, the other well known Indian restaurant in Cancun. Felt like Patravali was trying too hard to make their dishes "gourmet" and I didn't enjoy that experience. Whereas Taste of India just serves the classic Indian dishes that everyone loves, with no frills but super clean and delicious ingredients. The garlic naan was phenomenal, buttery and garlicky and the perfect texture. The chana masala was also amazing- not watery, super flavorful, and the chickpeas cooked perfectly! The portions were also the perfect size to eat the chana with the naan, and I left full but not uncomfortably stuffed. I can't wait to go back. 100% recommend for vegans and vegetarians.

We ordered quite a few things. We started off with the Samosa, which was two. The flavors were good. We got the papadum and they were tasty. We both got lemon and iced tea. She ordered the vegetarian biryani and I ordered the lamb korma. I'm very glad I asked because she said that rice was not included with the dish. I was even more shocked to see that it cost me 89 pesos for rice. My friend enjoyed her rice dish. The Naan with all that garlic did not taste or have a bunch of flavor. The portion was extremely small. As for my lamb korma, it was very large pieces of lamb that weren't cooked long enough to be soft. It was a lot of chewing. I did enjoy the sauce plus the mango pickle that they brought. However a 1300 peso lunch?! I asked for a three on my spicy, and there was no spice whatsoever in the korma nor in the mango pickle. I'll stick to the other restaurant in the area. It was closed under maintenance. I don't expect to spend $56 even in America on lunch.

Amazing vegan foods. We ordered the nacho for appetizer,…read morethe sauce was so delicious and great way to start out the meal. For main course, we got 6 different things plus a pizza to go, probably way too much foods for 4 people but the leftover was much appreciated even though we stayed at an all inclusive resort. Our least two fav was the pizza Margarita and the tamale. Pizza didn't have pizza sauce and wasn't crunchy, tamale was a little tough. Most favorite was the dessert. It was to die for. So presentable and delicious. Not too sweet which I loved. The main courses which hit the spot were: gringa al pastor, tacos al pastor, super queka, sopes, and enmoladas.

Not only is it a great dine-in experience, but Vegan Planet also has some great items for take-out. I do regret not trying their kombucha. Delicious, fresh, and affordable food! We had: -Raw cheese, half and half flavor, chipotle and original. (appetizer) -Alfredo Pasta -Queka (I had to google what this was) The Queka was a truly authentic, fresh, and inspired Aztec flavors! Naomi was our waiter; she was very accommodating and pleasant throughout the whole experience. We all had terrific conversations! Fire, A++, two thumbs up, 100%, 5 stars! =] COVID NOTES ***CANCUN & area was phenomenally incredible as for Covid. Terrible food. Service is okay. Ambiance is nothing to talk about…read more This is a simple joke in the wall type Indian restaurant... not too bad but nothing fancy. However, the food was terrible. We ordered Dal Makhani, Mix Veg, Mutter paneer, Garlic Naan. Everything was bad. No flavor. The mixed veg has 3x the spices but not properly cooked so you could taste the raw spices. The dal makhani was watered down. I have had better mutter paneer from a ready to eat packet in grocery stores. The Garlic naan has no garlic, and was from a packet. Plus, it had some terrible smelling oil on the name of Butter. I couldn't eat it. We only finished 50% of the food, that's how bad it was. Won't go there again. Turns out the owner is Indian, but he doesn't show up anymore. Has handed over the reins to some of the local women who try their best but it is not good enough.

Amazing service and i would say ambience had indian touch. We had kadai chicken , saag paneer, and tawa Roti ( hand made), raita , tandoori chicken. I must say it is rare to get this kind of quality and taste in mexico. We were lucky to meet the chef / owner aswel name Om. Very humble and helpful. Thank you for your services

Nestor was the waiter, greeter, and all-around "make sure you're taken care of" guy. Fatema and Betty were wonderful servers--friendly, accommodating, and fun to chat with. And a big thank-you to Fege in the kitchen for the amazing food! The atmosphere is charming, with cute decorations and open-air seating. The fans kept us plenty comfortable during our October visits. Now, the food! The steak chilaquiles were the best I've ever had, and my husband said the same about his breakfast quesadilla. The famous coconut French toast absolutely lived up to the hype. Definitely worth ordering! But those potatoes... perfectly seasoned, topped with cheese, and mixed with a little corn. Sooo good! I'm still dreaming about them. Yes, we ordered them again. Of course we did. Prices were fair, and the generous portions made sharing easy. We're at that stage of life where we eat a little less and share a little more--but apparently, I'm still very protective of my potatoes! Wonderful people, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Mango Cafe is absolutely worth a visit--and then another!
