Delicate, fancy and the most "boujee" of the Excellence Riveria restaurants. It was easily in my top three favorites!
The ambiance takes you all the way to France, the interior design, music and lighting is classy and romantic. It's a quiet and intimate environment with a slow pace to enjoy the evening dinner. It's not as lively as the other restaurants and not the place to bring you or your friends if you are "over beveraged".
We came here for appetizers only and were exceptionally satisfied! We started off with bread and silky butter. Only complaint was that the bread was a tad aged so it was chewer than most. We started off with the French onion soup that could've used a little more flavor but was creamy and delicious. We also tried the muscles and escargot. The muscles came on a thinly sliced and cooked crust and was a "fishy" dish...tasty and bathed in a spinach purée sauce. If the idea of a dish that's cold, wet and has a strong fish taste, don't bother. It's not for you.
The escargot came in a crunchy phyllo pastry shell with a potato sauce surrounding it. It looked similar to a castle surrounded by a moat. The sauce was warm and gave it a nice touch. Texture and look was similar to mushrooms.
This place has a stricter dress code and will hold you to it. Ladies no tank tops, shorts or flip flops. Gentlemen you need to wear closed toed shoes, pants and a dress shirt. They do have a dress code guide on the outside of the restaurant in case you'd like to double check.
