I ordered a flight and breakfast tacos, and my husband and I shared a charcuterie board. The board had a lot of fun items - I really liked the soft cheese and the caramelized onion spread a lot. The breakfast tacos were solid, but nothing super memorable. The wines were also good, but not something I would go out of my way for again. All and all, I am glad I tried it!

We walked in and it's like both our prayers were answered. They had beer AND wine flights!! We scored!! We had a flight of each. After our flight we had another glass of wine before we continued our journey. The bartenders was very sweet and welcoming. They have one bathroom inside and one around the outside of the property. Plenty of parking once you reach the mountain. Don't let look deserve you. This is a really nice place to stop to enjoy the view and the drinks. Seems it was a local spot which is what I enjoy the most when I travel.

As I wasn't familiar with this place, I asked if their beers or wines were more popular and was told that most people drink the beer. I was able to try a couple of samples before deciding on a 4-5oz beer sampler. The beers were all very different and tasty. My favorite was What the Fox. There was ample seating both inside and outside. Overall, it's a nice place to enjoy some beverages with friendly people.

Like, "did I just wander into a rustic resort?" levels of big and every corner has its own personality. First stop? The farm market. And listen... I could've spent my entire vacation budget right there. Shelves stacked with homemade canned goods, sauces, jams, salsa, pickled everything, and more pumpkins than Cinderella could handle. Total cozy-country heaven. The grounds are seriously gorgeous. You get these pockets of space that feel secluded and peaceful, almost like a secret beachy cabin retreat dropped into the Virginia mountains. There are tons of tables outside so you can sip and snack in the sunshine, plus a driving range, volleyball pits, and a giant "LOVE" sign that basically begs you to take a photo. Inside, the bar is warm, rustic, and charming the kind of spot that feels like it was built for good drinks and even better stories. They had a food truck the day we visited (I didn't see in-house food options), which just added to that relaxed, festival-by-the-lake feeling. Between the gorgeous scenery, the spacious layout, the drinks, and the vibes? This was easily one of my favorite stops on our travels. 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat.

The owner was there and graciously allowed us to take photos with him, he was so friendly and welcoming too. Then we finished our tasting (3oz maximum per person per ABC), taking our cocktails out on the porch where we drank them in rocking chairs enjoying the beautiful day. One of the workers was so sweet and brought us a table and some cups of water as well. Just a really welcoming place with some history. When you're in Culpeper make sure you make this a stop.

You can taste the alcohol subtly, but not enough to make me gag. I'm not from the area so I wasn't aware, but the tax (sales + Culpeper County food & beverage) rate is 11.3% which is intense. Just an FYI if you're also not from the area and wondering why your bill is that high.

And also ordered a hamburger because you can't go wrong with a hamburger- well we were wrong! The bread tasted stale and the patty was flavorless, the french fries were over salted, we took two bites and couldn't finish it. The inside wasn't very decorated, and didn't have that many seats. It seemed a bit bare. I wanted to get the frozen drink, but they said they had run out. The cocktails are fun and creative. I loved having the option for a hot drink in late December. At some point, I'd love to be able to come when the weather is beautiful and can take advantage of their outdoor wine bar, fire pits, and view. Ample parking, though as you follow the road up to the winery, you move from gravel to packed dirt. Parking can get quite muddy as it is just grass/dirt, and there can be some deep tracks left from cars in previous weather. Definitely not a reason to skip this place, but something that we noticed as we were coming/going since we were in a very small car.
