I imagined myself running in there like Buddy in the scene from Elf with the World's Best Coffee... but a casual sit down fried chicken place was about the speed I was hoping for, so I was in. Best fried chicken in the world? No. But, fried chicken I'd choose again if in the area? Very likely. Worth going a bit out of my way for? Yeah. All the sides were good. I got Mac and cheese and loaded smashed potatoes (because, yes, I'll do starch on starch with extra fat on each at a chicken joint). Both quite good. And the Mac and cheese had the benefit of being properly conceived restaurant food for an audience of non-drunk adults but also capturing the Mac and cheese comfort vibe enough to be loved by my three year old. Others in my party got the side salad, which looked great with a good mix of crisp greens and what not and the special cheesy grits which they liked. And they didn't skimp on the serving sizes at all. The biscuit was also a fresh, proper biscuit and came with good apple butter. Their drink menu has a couple of options for almost any occasion/meal. The service was friendly and fairly efficient. The whole place was bright and clean, and having a three year old, I got to know that the cleanliness extended to the bathrooms.

They offer a variety of pre-portioned desserts, cold alcoholic beverages, and meats and sides in larger portions to go We chose to sit outside, but the noise level was a major drawback--constant truck traffic and a very loud motorcycle shop next door made it hard to relax or enjoy the meal. These are things that the exchange cannot control, so if noise is an issue for you, sit inside and you will have a different experience. Overall, decent food, but between the cost and the noise, it wasn't the experience we were hoping for.
