We visited this restaurant last night after walking around for a bit looking for somewhere to eat. I had the Tagliatelle Alfredo with Chicken and it was just so delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection in front of your eyes in their open kitchen and the portion size is perfect for the low price, I even had to leave some as I was so full. The desserts on offer looked delicious and I was so tempted to try out their Orea Nutella cheesecake but alas I was simply too full from my main course as I could not stop eating it due to how delicious it was. The service was swift and friendly, they were very attentive in ensuring we had enough to drink. There is also no waiting around for a bill as you simply go up to the till when you have finished to pay. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are ever in the area, enjoy quick, delicious Italian food, and feel hungry. read more

I'd love to say the pasta was great. I'd love to say the service was great. But I got there at 10:20pm (when closing time stated at the door and on Yelp is 11:00pm) and I was told that there was no more dinner and I could only get takeout. One of the best meals I had while in Amsterdam. I ordered the gnocchi with pomodoro sauce and it paired perfectly with a glass of house red. The atmosphere is fun and causal and you can watch the Italian chef do his magic right from your table. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place, the Food was amazing..home made pasta, probably the best I have ever had..!! This place is small and noisy, the night we were there it was run by a staff of 3, the Hostess, who also bussed tables, the waiter, who was non-stop busy and the chef, who in my opinion was a culinary wiz..the house wine, red or white was a perfect companion to their pasta, I had the Alfredo with Chicken in penne, and it was a perfect blend of cream, parmesan and butter, not greasy or overbearing, my wife had the Pesto with spaghetti and deemed it wonderful. They don't take reservations, but trust me, this place is worth the wait !! read more

The best Italian food I have had in awhile. This is a complete hot spot for a quick amazing food! Unfortunately we will never be back, we came here three times in two days and the the last time my pasta was served cold and the staff refused to reheat. Excellent home made pasta cooked in an open kitchen where you can actually see your dish being prepared. Restaurant is located near the Albert Cuyp markt open air market. I had the spaghetti bolognese served exactly like I like it, not swimming in sauce. Very flavorful. My brother had the carbonara which looked delicious. Couple that with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff and you have a winner. Only drawback was the seats were stools with no back. I like to lean back and relax during a meal, but that's just me. I wish there were Restaurant's like this in the states. It would quickly become one of my favorites read more

I came here a year ago and it was a great deal for the price. Ordered the ravioli ai fungi con cream di tartufo and a glass of red wine. Apparently, the chef thought I was waiting for someone as did not start my meal until 15 minutes passed. Oh well, they topped off my wine and that was nice. Creme sauce had many dark spots, but the flavor of truffle was absent. Paid the bill 17,2€ bill with a 20€ note and ,50€ coin. No change came back. Free Wi-Fi is good, will find another place for fresh pasta. read more

Stopped in here during my visit in Amsterdam because of the good reviews this place had. I randomly passed it on the way back from the market and decided to stop in. I must say the service was very nice, the prices were reasonable and the portion was alright. The owner recommended her Gnocci Pesto saying it was homemade and delicious. My main complaint here was that the "homemade" pesto was not great and neither was the gnocchi. So really the meal was not good at all. And cost about 8 Euros. They only give you one piece of homemade bread, don't bother asking for more or they will charge you. They do expect a tip even though it is a quicker style restaurant, you are ordering at the cash register, then choosing a seat, then they bring your food. My overall experience here was alright, I would not go back because basically their food sucked. However if you have no taste buds or don't know much about food this could still be the place for you! read more

I had this place on my list of possible places to eat and it was close to our hotel. We had walked by on one stroll, peered into the window and saw it was busy. We decided to try it the next day as we had already eaten. The next day it was the same busy location with customers going in and out regularly. We sat at a high top table and our order was taken where we could watch the fresh pasta dishes being made. The staff had the preparation and procedure down pat as they shared and worked together. You create your own dish and style then the order is put together. Though not entirely to our taste (we like spicy sauces) it was still very tasty and flavorful. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The meals were prepared quickly by the efficient cook and served hot in this tiny (if a bit cramped) location. This is for the location in DePijp. It appeared as if the manager or owner took our order and was all business while being helpful and friendly. The portions were huge by European standards and neither my wife or I finished. The only disappointment was with the bread. We are true bread connoisseurs and the bread was of the grocery store variety. Nonetheless, don't let the bread distract or dissuade. The price point was appropriate, particularly in view of the portion size. I will admit, after our initial view of this location, we had thought it resembled a fast food/quick stop type of operation but in reality they made some really good pasta. Looks can be deceiving. I am glad our initial impression was wrong as venturing inside past the large storefront window, worthwhile. read more

Pasta Pasta was a godsend when we first got to our rental apartment in Amsterdam. After a long train ride from London, we dumped our luggage at the apartment and searched for food. We ended up at Pasta Pasta and I was happy the pasta was made fresh and the variety of noodle types, sauces and protein was nice. Vegan and Vegetarian options were great and noted on the menu. I was thoroughly satisfied with my meal. We came back on New Year's Day as we were wandering the neighborhood looking for a restaurant that would be open. Pasta Pasta was open and I was glad. There were only 2-3 other people there. The service wasn't great this time around, the staff felt on edge and you could tell they were tired and not too happy to be working on a holiday. It felt a bit uncomfortable being there. We almost walked out when no one acknowledged we had been sitting at a table without ordering for 15 minutes. We walked up to the register to order or see what was up but was told to sit down and they would come to us. They eventually took our order although most items they had run out of already. I'd say timing is optimal if you want to come here for dinner. read more
