I was on my way east down Dempster and I needed a polish change super fast. I stopped in and they were able to take me right away. Within 10 minutes I had my polish change, and even though I was in a rush, the women still took her time, filed my nails, and put four coats on (THIS IS A BIGGY FOR ME!). They charged me 5 bucks for the polish change. THEY ALSO HAD A FANTASTIC SELECTION OF POLISH COLORS! I'm super excited to go back. read more

The nail shape and paint job itself was well done, but due to lack of cleanliness & lack of customer service, I will NEVER come back! First of all, I made an appointment for three people. My girlfriends and I wanted to get a pedicure together! We got there and not only did we not sit together, they didn't start on all of us at the same time. I was completely done with my pedicure (an hour later) before they even STARTED on my 2nd friend!! The whole point of getting a pedicure with my friends is so we could sit together and catch up while we got our toes done. I told the manager this and he apologized, but that was it. I was expecting a discount for the inconvenience because this was not the only thing we had planned that day, but nope. It tells me the manager didn't really care about customer service. The other BIG complaint I had is cleanliness. We had quiet a few concerns during our time there, noticing lack of active cleaning we saw. We watched one pedicure chair transition from one client to the other with NO foot bath cleaning what so ever. I also watched tools get used from one client to the other without cleaning, like files and buffers and exfoliaters... definitely not sanitary! read more

Went today to get an acrylic fill in ($15) after reading the other reviews. This was my first time getting my nails done after moving to the area. The reviews were spot on! This place was great. It's small but clean. The prices are the best you are going to find these days and worth it. I had Danny as my nail technician and he was excellent. My nails look great and are exactly the way I wanted them. I had my 3 y/o with me too and they were very nice to her as well. I will be returning for sure! read more

Horrible service. Went to this place on November 26,2019 . We had an appointment for 3 weeks... i even called to confirm yesterday for 3 full sets and pedicures. He said ok thats fine. He did 2 out of 3. The 3rd one he said I can't do it i only will do fill in i have a lot of customers. I went there to have pedicure with my girlfriend. My nail tech ( I think he is manager of the salon) was friendly but I think he was in a rush and made it very obvious. I was done about in 25 minutes . There was no massage at all . I felt really uncomfortable not relaxing at all . I paid $25 for my pedi . But my girlfriend's tech Danny took his time and he did good job. Next time I'll ask for Danny over all salon is smaller nice but needs to be clean . I've been looking for a new regular nail place, and after coming here I think I finally found it! It's affordable, quick and great work! I came in for a no chip gel fill. I was attended to immediately and out of there in about 35 minutes. For some, this is not a good thing. For a busy girl like me who just wants to be in and out this is amazing! And to top it off, my nails look better than the salons who spend an hour and a half for the same service. I wish I got the name of my nail tech, but I will definitely be back and I hope to get her again. I have been their customer since the summer of 2001, 16 years old now 23. The more time passes, the more loyal I become. I have tried several other salons along and around but I always come back to them. Most of the staff has remained the same for the last five years (I think this is quite telling when it comes to considering the quality of a business).The owner is awesome and treats me with respect and always provides everything i ask for ( im spoiled, along with my friends and family) They are very attentive, do a very THOROUGH job (I've had more than my share of bad experiences at other salons, where they do not bother to remove mini nail polish smudges from my fingers, make you soak your hands in ice-cold water, shape your nails square instead of round even when you do tell them what you want, or tell you it's your fault that the nail polish is bubbling, because you did not "keep your hands under the blow dryer the right way"), and terrific at helping you pick the color (they do always have a wide selection of nail polish). They always fo a FANTASTIC job, always creative with my nails, up to date w designs including aryrlic Sea Shell gel nails, to glitter and marble looking full sets. This place is a a most attend spot. I usually go to Lee Nails but last time I went they did a really crappy job on my gel full set, so a week later I was searching for a place that could fix the mess. I stumbled across Passion Nails and this place is awesome. Huynh was the nail technician I went to and he was funny, friendly and did a fast job but good job! My bridesmaids and I all got our nails done here. It was a nice little place, the prices were great, and the staff very friendly! The only reason they did not receive 5 stars were two things: because we were getting our nails done on a friday, we couldn't all book together because the salon had to keep open for walk-ins. While I understand that, I would have definitely paid more to keep it a private party--instead, we had to stagger our time there for 3 hours because other people took our slots. The other thing was that I was about 90% happy with my manicure. I needed fake nails badly, because I pretty much bit off of my nails before the wedding. They were good, but the nails were not placed all the way down to the cuticules. If I had not received the french manicure, it would have looked like my nails were already growing out of the manicure. read more

I just moved to Park Ridge and asked my neighbor for her recommendation of a good nails salon and she suggested Passion Nails. I stopped by after work for a pedicure and Pink/White full set. I am very particular about hygiene and cleanliness, and this salon fullfill that need for me. It's a small salon but very clean and fresh. All the tools are pre- sanitized and sprayed with alcohol before use. My pedicure was phenominal especially after the sea scrub, foot mask and thorough massage, not to mention finishing with warm towel. They also have very good pricing considering the high quality service they provided. I will a regular customer at this place and would recommend it for anyone who is looking for good quality nails service at a reasonable price in a cleanliness and friend environment. read more

HORRIBLE place! Save your time and money. I made an appointment for a no chip manicure with Sien the owner at 2pm. I drove all the way from Morton Grove to Park Ridge and had my daughter with me. When I arrived there at 1:55pm I saw that there were 3 girls sitting ahead of me. Sien had just started a manicure and didn't even bother to ask me who I was and if I had an appointment. In addition, he didn't even bother to say hello!! After about 10 minutes I asked him if I was going to be next since I had a 2pm appointment and he said no that the girl sitting next to me was next. I then told him that I had made an appointment with him for 2pm and how long I would have to wait. He said about 45 minutes! I was so shocked that he didn't even bother to call me and let me know that he was running late and if I hadn't asked him if I was next he would not have even bothered to tell me that I needed to wait. When I asked the girl ahead of me what time her appointment was she said 1pm. I asked her if she had a problem waiting 1.5 hours for her appointment and she said no. I'm sorry but although some people have nothing better to do with their time, I was with my 8 yr old daughter and was not about to make her wait for me for such a long time because Sien was behind and didn't even have the professional curtesy of notifying me!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE way to do business!! Not only was he rude and didn't have the decency to at least call me and tell me he was running late, but he was so RUDE to me and acted like he was doing me a favor by even taking me at all! The store is very small, smells horrible, is very dirty and unsanitary, and the people there are extremely rude and unprofessional. After I left, I did find a much cleaner, nicer place right by my house in Morton Grove in which the clients there drive all the way from the city because they are so good. If you are looking for a nice, clean, affordable, and professional nail salon, go see Matthew at Nail Essence on 5840 Dempster Street, Morton Grove. Save your time and money and DO NOT go to this disgrace of a business Passion Nails. Shame on them for treating people like that!!! I would never go back to this place. It's more expensive then anywhere else . He charged me extra $1 for cutting my nails . I've been doing my nails every two weeks for the past 7 years and I've never seen anybody charge me for filling acrylic nails down. Place is too small and employees are not polite. Love coming here to get my nails done. They're usually busy so it's best to make an appointment if your going on the weekends.

Whoever did my nails was nice, however, they were not good quality. I got a UV gel set and 11 days later one falls off as I was pulling my chair in, which I had to go to another salon and spend the $40 to remove their horrible set and get a new one. Never have I had a gel nail fall off from other salons. They were also shaped and filed sloppily. Not worth the money. read more
