My friend and I came in here with reservations for just a standard manicure. Not bad at just $15 a pop! They do prefer cash for tips so try to have that on hand. They did a completely fantastic job on my nails, loved their color options and they look amazing. My Nail Tech did a great job of cleaning my claws up & painted them better than they've been done in awhile. They also have a frequent visitor punch card, as well as some nice coupons! I usually do dip manicures so was surprised how happy I was with the quality and staying power of a standard mani. I'll definitely be back! read more

Updating my review on this place..... Had a solid few months and loved tge service and how my nails came out...... the last 2 times I went to get dip done one or more of my nails.chipped within a few days. The first time it happened the nail tech did a great job she removed the original dip completely and re did the nail and it looked great! This time around 2 nails chipped right away ( I hae a desk job so im not even sure how they chipped) I went in the nail tech decided to repair the 2 rather then remove the dip and redo... I wouldn't of had a problem with it but the one thay got redone look like shit. They are way lighter than the rest and on one of them she had to buff down so much that she rubbed the skin on the top of my nail raw... no longer happy with the quality or service at this salon the picture I attached doesn't even show how discolored the redone nail is..... read more

I had a pedicure done and was very disappointed. The water used to soak my feet was on the cold temperature, my feet didn't soak long enough to soften the nails, before the manicurist started working on my nails. She didn't even take the time to clean underneath the nail. I was highly surprised upon coming home and finding that my nail had not been properly filed to give the nail a smooth finish, now I have to file my nails to correct their mistake. Before I even considered making an appointment I read the reviews, now I wonder if those reviews were bogus and the funny part of this is the price was higher than other nail salons. Specifically, I really enjoy getting my nails done by Anna. She always does a great job. In addition, they have punch cards and 20% off coupons which is nice. All of the technicians are wonderful! No chip manicure lasts 2.5~3 weeks for me, and I believe it's because they spend extra time on the tips of the nails. Also reasonably priced! They often give you 20% off coupons as well as a punch card so you can get a discount quite often. Give this place a try! read more

I walked in and asked for my nails to be taken off. I told them I have dip nails with tips on so that they were aware with what they're working with. They told me it will be $10, which is a typical price for this service. Someone proceeds to take my dip nails off, but the tips were still left on. I told them I would like everything off since that's what the service entails and obviously I am paying for this. They tell me that it's an extra $10 to take my tips off, so I would be paying $20 total. Anytime I go to a nail salon to get my nails taken off, they take everything off (including the tips) and it costs $10-15. I have been going to nail salons for years and I have never been charged extra to take off tips. I am very upset that the service was not completed and their communication wasn't clear when I stated what I wanted from the beginning. Now I'm left with my nails looking like this. My mom and I were one of their very first customers back when they first opened, but I will not be returning back. I'm very disappointed. read more

Loved my experience at La Mode Nails. Myself and my step daughter decided last minute that we would get our nails done. From what I've noticed, typically if I were to try to get a walk in in the Glenview/Northbrook area- it would be a no go. I'm a transplant out of New York and I'm so used to nail salons being so easily accessible with or without an appointment. Clearly, I haven't learned my lesson but I figured I'd give today a shot. I called up La Mode around 12:45 to come in for a 2:30 appointment for an adult pedicure and kids mani + pedi, to my surprise the woman said yes. We arrived 2 minutes late but they were expecting us and took us right away. The salon is very spacious and very clean. There were also many nail techs available which was nice to see. Amy did my nails and she was very sweet, and paid extra attention to detail. My toenails are very prone to in-growns and I had yet to find a technician to really get into the corners/creases to cut out those pesky nails that were causing my feet to look hurt. I pointed out which nails needed love and my girl loved on ALL 10. She was so thorough, Amy is officially my girl, whether she knows it or not! La Mode did a great job on the both of us! Officially a keeper, I will be back. They did up the price to $50 for an adult mani and pedi, but after what Amy did I HAD to get the mani as well. read more

I got GelX Nails done and the design / costumer service was good but they told me GelX Nails would last 2-4 weeks but it only lasted around 10 days. I was super careful with the nails but they still fell out. I had events the week later and I had to paint my nails last limit. Maybe the other manicures are better but I personally wouldn't recommend getting GelX Nails done by this salon. read more

No chip is a waste of money and I'm very disappointed in my costumer service. I have been going to this location of La Mode for 3 years. I have done no chip twice, this being my second time. For my vacation in Europe I decided to treat myself to a no chip and regular pedi. Spending $65 without a tip is nothing to look down your nose at. I was pleased with my pink nails and had no issues. 24 hours later I am in Europe for vacation and a wedding. I go to the beach (salt water) and my pink nails turn white only where there are brush strokes. For the next 2 weeks (entire vacation) people asked me if my color turning nails were broken. It was horrible I was extremely upset. They were just suppose to be pink not tie-dye. I have been back for 24 hours and went to remove the nails (which also chipped). What was my compensation upon complaint? I didn't have to pay for the removal.....my first no chip didn't have a charge to remove the nails. Now there's a price? After $65 and a tip included I should at least be compensated another no chip. It's a product you sell, warn people they may fail in salt water. The staff assured me I was the only person to ever have this issue with the pink color I chose but yes some react with salt water. Well thanks for the warning, after the fact. I'm just disappointed in the costumer service. Thanks for not making me pay to remove the failed and offending nails. I'll never do no chip again as it was a huge waste of money. I'll also rethink mani pedi's as I'm fully capable of doing normal nail polish myself. Was a big fan of La Mode. Just because I don't come weekly doesn't mean I'm not as important as your other regulars. I was a regular and usually very pleased and would highly recommend the location to friends and family, now I'm just disappointed. read more

Wow I am really impressed!first time coming here it was so nice and clean. You don't have the employees talking to each other or doing other things. they will talk to you or just work on you. I got a no chip mani and a pedi and the owner (I think) gave me a list of all the things they do. She was very attentive. They lady who worked on my nails was detailed she even made a slight mistake while painting, caught it and fixed it she even double checked everything when I left to make sure there were no mistakes. I will be returning for sure!!! I don't live near but that won't stop me. Now I have a new place!!!! read more

My first time experience was not so good, They should know how to grab the new customers, now I really regret going there. However, I asked for dip mani, after she was done which she did not like to do the job, after she was done I saw one bubble on one of my nails, I asked her what was that, she just started to filled it. I alway say if you are not passionate about what you are doing but you have to do what it takes for the money then you will not be good at it!!! They called to let me know an earlier time slot was available and took me as soon as I came in. They worked both my manicure and pedicure at the same time, which was great because saved me some time (not a lot of places will do that). Biggest plus was that my nails turned out great.
