The DDmani 2025 tour continues. Is this how roadies feel, when the band goes to venue after venue and it starts to blend together? I'll post my reviews right after the manicure so that the details are fresh in my mind. This was one of the pricier salons on my pursuit of the Dazzle Dry manicure. Mind you, it was not the $70+ from the Canyon Ranch at The Palazzo, but it was $38 plus tip, which is on the upper side of the range, considering I've been doing this weekly. The Lacquer Lounge is bright and spacious, with lots of tables and pedicure stations. I sat facing the windows and could watch the passersby in this busy Willow Festival shopping center.They didn't have a large selection of DD colors, and Hannah had to keep shaking the bottle and at one point she went to warm up the bottle? thin out the polish? because the texture was getting thick. Still, she did a nice job with the cuticles and hand massage and the color looks great. The other nail technicians had on cute pink uniforms although she did not. The salon was relaxing and was clean and I liked that every station had cleaner and the tables, chairs and furniture were well-cared for. Very rude staff and odd (?) clientele. My usual nail salon was booked, so called to make a same day appointment. The person on the phone was courteous, but the staff at the salon were strangely rude and unwelcoming. Getting your nails done should be a relaxing, pleasant experience especially when you're paying a premium price. I rarely complain about service, but this place was an anomaly. Even the clients were glaring at each other rudely, including men staring at women inappropriately. With several other great nail salons in Northbrook, I'd recommend prospective clients go anywhere but here. read more

So creepy! Beware of this place. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have never had such a negative, unwelcoming, and tbh EERIE experience at a salon or anywhere in my life. My Mom and I were new clients and had appointments for pedicures. Immediately upon entering, the vibes were off. The salon was completely silent (no music, anyone speaking, etc.) despite there being several employees and clients. No one greeted us at all or said a word to us--just hostile stares? Uncomfortably, we proceeded to look at nail colors assuming someone would say hello or ask if we had an appointment soon. Nope. We were in the salon about 5 minutes without a single word spoken in the salon at all. Finally, I said "Hi!" generally to the room and an employee said "Hi"... and that's it. I then mentioned we had appointments and still just got silence. My mom and I ended up leaving without getting our pedicures. We were not only a bit offended at how rude and unfriendly the staff were, but genuinely freaked out at how CREEPY this place felt?! Truly have never experienced a place with such strange energy and highly advise others to get your nails done elsewhere. read more

I was overdue for a pedicure. A few scheduled appointments and errands had me in the area of Lacquer Lounge on a Saturday, so I decided to make an appointment and try something new. The salon is peaceful - no televisions, no loud music. Just quiet conversation from other patrons and staff. It was so quiet that I was able to read a bit of the book I brought. It's brightly lit and feels sterile while also feeling welcoming. They have a great selection of brands and colors, both gel and traditional lacquer. I opted for OPI's Malaga Wine (there is no better color for transitioning to fall). Lina did a great job. She was detail-oriented. And, for the first time in ages, my heels feel smooth and free of callouses (no small feat!). Looking forward to coming back! read more

Per social media, I saw this salon had a non-toxic no chip option . I scheduled my appointment and was pleasantly surprised. The space was an extremely clean, loved that the employees always had gloves on and even had cute pink uniforms . I came in with short nails but they shaped them very nicely and they had a large non toxic color selection! This place is worth checking out!! read more

Northbrook Lacquer Lounge is amazing! It is a VERY clean nail salon. They use disposable nail files and buffers. They are constantly cleaning and restocking when they have down time. The staff is super friendly and they take their time on each manicure/pedicure. I also like the way they do the no chip removal, my nails feel so much stronger after going here multiple times.
