I grew up going here in high school with my family and college once I lived here on my own. This is a classic staple that I have very fond memories of. This review is only from my most recent experience not my many years of wonderful meals and experiences. I ordered my traditional mushroom Marsala ravioli. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement. It was plain cheese ravioli, not one mushroom in sight and absolutely no Marsala in the cream sauce. It was just pure unseasoned cream poured on top. Our salad had a fly in it and when brought up I was questioned if I wasn't sure it was just pepper. There were dirty tarps covering tables and chairs that had been sitting there for who knows how long. I know they are closing in 2 weeks but it was such a sad disappointing experience. I wish the lady/manager/owner success in her future endeavors. She herself is a super sweet lady and I hope she can figure it out.

Sadly was not very impressed with our visit here. When you walk inside it seems like it'll be really good since it's a grand hall with Italian vibe and decor. There was only one waitress serving the whole restaurant and there were many tables, so this made service pretty slow. She was very nice but it just took too long since she was managing so much at once. We got the phyllo triangles for appetizer, which were just okay because the cheese was entirely too potent and felt really strong to eat. We got the bellagio chicken pasta, pasta pascucci, and Genoa. Some of the ravioli were uncooked, and the chicken was supposed to come in a bow tie shape but came as penne and also was doused in oil. When we asked for a mocha coffee, they didn't have any. It's sad to say the only nice thing about the place was the decor.

We loved the atmosphere here. The decor was unique to it, which we appreciate! The food was delicious, but recommend going earlier as what we wanted to order was already sold out. The staff was really nice but the only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is because we had to wait over 25 minutes from sitting down to give our drink order, so we also gave our food order at the same time. It seemed to only have two staff members working the dining area and it wasn't very busy, so we were a bit disappointed at how long the wait was to get our order taken. There were also several fruit flies that were dining with us (we are hoping it's because the wine was good haha). I overall recommend this restaurant at least once if you're looking for great Italian food.

Salad for the lunch special...I like the sliced carrots, a different way to slice it compared to other places.

Came here for burger week for round 4... The menu swayed me to their lunch special. I ended up getting the ravioli sampler while the wife got the burger week burger. The ice tea here is super delicious and we had many refills! They do offer garlic bread with real garlic. The burger week burger is a generous size and my favorite of the day. You can taste the charbroil flavor! Wife was offered bbq, terayaki, ketchup and mustard but ended up using just the ketchup and mustard. My ravioli sampler was nice for an indecisive person like me. It allowed me to try a small piece of each ravioli so I didn't get flavor fatigued. The texture of the ravoli was nice and bouncy. I believe they are going to close soon. So if youve been wanting to try this place ..now or never!

I recently enjoyed a lunch here and am never disappointed with my meal at Pascucci's! Everything they prepare is delicious. From the garlic bread to start the meal and the section of entrees- you will find something for everyone here. Being that it was lunch, I opted for something lighter to keep me going during the work day. The Mediterranean salad with chicken is so good! I love the salad dressing and the incorporation of bell peppers and olives add the perfect touch. This spot is always a hit! They are in the busy downtown setting of Santa Barbara but there are convenient public parking garages nearby.

I got the Santa Margherita panini with Caesar salad. I really liked the Caesar salad--sauce wasn't heavy and there was a good amount of cheese. The panini itself was fluffy and soft. The pesto and basil flavor was really nice. The veggies were fresh too. I didn't think I would like this dish as much as I did! As for the other stuff, they do have free garlic bread, but it's quite bland. The lighting is really dim and reminds me of the lighting in Cheesecake Factory. The restaurant was severely understaffed when we went but the waiter was nice and the food surprisingly didn't come out too slow!

Okay, so this is one of those hidden gems. The wife and I came into Pascucci for some Italian food and we were taken by surprise with the size of the restaurant, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the dinning equipment, the food and options of deliciousness. I ordered hot tea, which they bring out a variety of teas for you to pick, mix and have the strength be strong. Their cold tea is a strong and flavorful. Okay now to the best part, my wife ordered a plate that had salmon and butternut squash raviolis. Her meal melted in your mouth, it was cooked just perfect. My meal was a chicken piccata, the chicken was so flavorful and delicious that I was in love at first bit. Our whole experience continued with awesome service and delectable desserts with cheesecake and tiramisu. To our server thank you for all the hard word that the staff and you do.

2.5 stars. I was underwhelmed. Cacophonous in new space. Slow service at first but it thankfully got better. Fish special ok but too much dill for me, and almond crust dominated. Asparagus were grilled but they were so thin they were overwhelmed by the grill. Squash ravioli was rather dry and there was no real sage flavor to the "sage butter." I remember liking that ravioli more. Maybe it's just relocation growing pains but the room was too loud and the food didn't make up for it.

I've had grains of rice bigger than this sliver of avocado.
    Doug S.

I have been a customer long enough to have followed this place through three different locations, which unfortunately means I have watched it steadily lose whatever made it good. The sandwich was almost impressive in how little effort went into it. It was advertised as having avocado, yet what arrived contained a sliver so thin it felt more like a suggestion than an ingredient. The atmosphere did not help. The lighting was so harsh it felt more like an interrogation room than a place to enjoy a meal. The space looks unfinished, as if opening day happened halfway through construction and no one ever circled back. There was no music until the owner eventually played something from her cell phone, which really completed the "we gave up" vibe. I kept coming back over the years because this place used to earn it. This visit made it clear those days are over. The food is careless, the environment is uncomfortable, and the overall experience feels slapped together. I will not be returning, and that is coming from someone who truly wanted this place to succeed.

The shrimp and pasta is to DIE for. They gave me free ginger molasses cookies. I give it 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/10. PASCUCCI IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The table was broken and had a sharp exposed edge that I was eating at. The food was fine, but compared to the food that is in the area would suggest elsewhere

    Great view from our table

Stopped in at this nice little Italian restaurant. I got a ravioli dish with a tomato cream sauce. It was outstanding. Great flavor, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Had a great slice of Tiramisu for dessert. Great service, great food. A safe place to stop in for a pleasant Italian meal.

For my entree, I ordered the Costolette d'Angello alla Griglia, the grilled lamb chops served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The lamb was okay, but it arrived more warm than hot and the accompanying mashed potatoes were a disappointment. They arrived noticeably cold in the center, giving the impression that they had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. Unfortunately, those temperature inconsistencies distracted from the dish and even made me question whether everything had been plated and served at its best. The lamb chops were okay overall, but the execution left something to be desired. I also tried the Linguine con Vongole (clam pasta). The flavors were fine and the dish was enjoyable enough, but diners should be aware that there were some broken shell fragments and bits of sand mixed in with the clams. While that can occasionally happen with shellfish dishes, it was noticeable enough that I found myself eating a little more cautiously than I would have liked. One aspect of the restaurant that stood out was the atmosphere. The environment has a distinctive character and personality that makes it feel different from many of the other dining options in SB. It certainly adds to the overall experience. The service was somewhat slow during my visit, though the staff remained friendly and courteous throughout the evening. Overall, this place offered an interesting atmosphere and friendly service, but the food execution felt inconsistent. Between the warm lamb, cold mashed potatoes, and shell fragments in the linguine, the meal didn't quite meet expectations. There's potential here, but a little more attention to detail in the kitchen would go a long way.

I only go to Santa Barbara once a year for Fiesta and I finally was able to try them. Everything I ate was delicious! I started out with the Bengala de Granada, which was a mocktail of pentire coastal spritz, pomegranate, ginger, lime, cinnamon, and clove. It was so refreshing on a hot Fiesta day. Under the Bocaditos menu, we ordered the denia (confit tomato, cured bluefin tuna) and the croquetas de seta (porcini and truffle with a saffron aioli). The denia set the tone for dinner with the bright acidity of the tomato with the salty tuna. The croquetas were rich of umami flavor with an undertone of truffle that paired well with the brightness of the saffron. Under the charcuterie menu, we got the jamón tasting that included pan con tomate. The tomatoes were bright and paired well with the different salty hams, which were serrano, ibérico, and iberico chorizo. For the tapas, we got the tortilla española, patatas bravas, broccolini, and the ensalada mediterránea. It was a good balance of light and heavy dishes. The broccolini and salad were the light dishes. The broccolini was nicely seared and the romesco sauce added a nutty flavor. The Mediterranean salad was herbaceous with pops of richness from the manchego cheese. The rest were on the heavier side. Though, the eggs of the tortilla española were incredibly fluffy. It was like biting into a cloud. The potatoes were also soft. It was a comforting dish. And then there were the patatas bravas, my favorite tapa! They were slightly crisp with a bit of heat from their house sauce and garlic aioli. Each bite was as satisfying as the next. And then the star of the show came right when we finished most of the tapas - the chorizo and chicken paella. The rice was pressed against the pan so every bite had that prized soccarat. The char of the soccarat harmonized with the depthness of the tomato and other aromatics in the rice. It was luxurious. And the chicken was juicy and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The portions of chicken, chorizo, and mushrooms were generous! It can definitely feed a family of six, so we were able to have leftovers as we were a family of three. And it was even better the next day! No matter how full we are, we always have dessert to share. We ordered the crema catalana, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was silky smooth and the caramel flavor went so well with the sweet and slightly tart Santa Barbara strawberries. I imagine this restaurant is always busy, but it was even more so during Fiesta. It's loud inside and out, but it's adds to the festive vibes. Service was excellent! I very much appreciated that our waiter confirmed our allergies. He even put the romesco sauce on the side just in case since it had almonds. Luckily, my nut allergy is contained to only pine nuts because I enjoyed the sauce very much. I recommend eating outside to enjoy their patio space. Since they only open for dinner, the heat isn't as bad since it gets cooler around the time they open. Loquita is at the start of the Funk Zone. So parking is extremely limited. Best to walk or ride-share there. I don't think I can wait for the next Fiesta to dine here again. I hope to be back sooner.
