So I got an amerato sour like usual, my colleagues got wines and beer. Overall, the drinks are decent but cocktail are very pricy at $12. This is a hidden bar inside the Whitehall hotel. I love the patio. Even tho I came in a cold night, the heat lamp kept me pretty warm enough. They have a very good deal on happy our for 19.63 for a bottle of wines and it was pretty good to me. I would love to come back here sometimes to try some other wines. read more

Wandered in for some food after my flight. I sat at the bar because there was some event going on in the main seating area. The entire venue is outside and is spread out nicely in front of the Whitehall hotel. On perusal of previous reviews, I ordered the shrimp and the pork belly tacos. The shrimp tacos were advertised with a habanero glaze which thankfully wasn't actually spicey (re:I'm a wimp). The shrimp was on the smaller size and fried into tiny little bites. Accompanied by the standard white onion and cilantro, the taco was well made but not as flavorful as I had hoped. The pork belly tacos were a little better. Smokey, juicy and succulent, the pork was cooked perfectly and again accompanied by the typical onions and cilantro. The taco itself was good and not too heavy but again, lacking a little depth that would have made the taco really stand out. So why 4 stars? The tacos were okay but the service was excellent. The bar tender was super nice and made the lone diner dining experience very welcoming. read more

Great for a sunny outdoor day to grab a drink. Unfortunately, this place isn't open on what I would think would make for a solid "Sunday Funday" location w friends. The ambience is laid back and the corn hole setup is located at the far end of the lot so those playing won't interrupt others conversing and drinking at the tables w a potential bag thrown at their head. The cocktails are solid. The corn and black bean queso flameando is a great pick to share amongst the table. Just don't expect to get any mind blowing or authentic street tacos as the barbacoa may be the dryest incarnation I've ever tasted growing up here in Texas. I am blown away by this venue! I'm staying at the Whitehall, in downtown Houston, for business and saw this beautiful venue outside my room. They are only open Tuesday's-Saturday from 4-10PM. I'm so glad I decided to try it out. The Happy Hour pricing is great and there is food available too. The bartender made me a specialty cocktail and I was able to enjoy live music and made some friends at the same time. I love that this is an outdoor venue downtown, which you do not see often. The sun went down around 4 behind a big building. That helped so I didn't fry in the I will be visiting every evening until I head back home, I suggest you do the same. Cheers! read more

I came to Part and Parcel for a private event. The ambiance was very appealing and there is plenty of space on the patio to hang out with friends. There is an uncovered area with a bar and plenty of seating. Next to this area is the covered area we had our private event. They served some light bites that were very tasty. As a white wine drinker, I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio they served. I can't review much about the "normal" experience here, but if you are looking for a place to host a party, this would be a good location. read more

We have been coming here a few times a month for over a year now as we live nearby and occasionally stop in when walking to or from Astros and Rockets games. Great outdoor patio bar and location. Bartender service is pretty good. Management is very inflexible and their operating hours are very tightly controlled at 4pm - 10 pm. We showed up at 9:50 one night and were pressured not to order a drink as they were closing. They reluctantly gave us drinks, but we felt uncomfortable and that we needed to rush. Today we arrived at 3 minutes before 4pm, the gate was locked. The manager came up and advised us they would open in 3 minutes. We asked to simply sit down at the bar until they opened rather than stand outside at the gate. He said no, couldn't do that. So we left. Too many great bars in the area to accept that sort of inflexibility and discourtesy. A shame but doubt we will be back Update- many thanks to Erica for addressing our concerns. This outdoor patio bar is located in The White Hall, and I was able to valet my car with ease. As you walk through the lobby, walk up a few stairs to the right toward the double doors that say Parts and Parcel. Just through those doors, you will find the patio bar and all your friends calling your name. There are cushioned patio furniture and some beautiful patio lighting. I attended a Houston Rodeo Wine Garden event here and since it was a private party they had some light bites and the staffed bar was welcoming. There was plenty of space to mingle and offered an enclosed but beautiful outdoor patio experience. Bathrooms are located inside The White Hall. Since it is outdoors, be sure to dress appropriately: mosquito repellent in the summer time at dusk , and sexy off the shoulder clothes to breathe, since we all know you're hot and humid. C'mon! Because it's outside, it gets kind of warm, particularly when the sun is out. They could do with some more shaded seating, but luckily, I'm usually there when the sun's gone behind the buildings. Not too noisy and there was a guy playing the guitar from 5pm. Happy hour is from 4-7 and there are some ok deals. I rated this as very pricy because I paid almost $10 for a draft beer, which is a bit ridiculous when you're not on a company card. A very interesting and delightful venue. It is hard to believe that an outdoor setting in Houston on a hot day could be comfy. But--it is. Located at The White Hall, Part and Parcel manages to create a charming setting to enjoy beverages and light bites (or not so light) with friends. A surprising addition was the live music. Adam Estes was playing when we went. This man has talent like crazy. His melodic voice complimented the quaint setting. I love how there are small areas to sit with friends--outside sofa and chairs with tables. So nice. There are also tables along the rail. I would pass sitting there because I felt like I was sliding off the tiny stool. However, I can forgive the stool thing, because the overall atmosphere was very inviting. Although the wine selection is not huge, it certainly provides a solid selection. This is a great location to host events. Had a really lovely first visit here last night. Will definitely be back and I can see this turning into a regular spot for me. I drive by this spot every night on my way home from work so I've been wanting to check it out. Then I saw they were having a special event for their one year anniversary so it was the perfect impetus but I would've eventually come anyway. I was entertaining a guest from Austria and this was by far his favorite of the Houston places we patronized. #1 - DOG FRIENDLY. This is huge for me because I like to take my pup with me as often as possible so places that are not pet friendly often don't even have a chance with me. All the staff and patrons were very welcoming of him. Erica, the Manager, even got some water for him and posted his pic to their Instagram feed. And since he was the only dog there (probably because most people were coming straight from their offices downtown), he got lots of attention, ha ha! Guests were also great because my dog is very friendly but has gotten a little sensitive on leash lately but no one freaked out if he excitedly jumped up and barked a little when he greeted them. #2 - The ambiance here is great. The patio is strung with tons of lights and surrounded by downtown high rises for a really cool effect. Lots of plants and a nice pergola with climbing vines. Water features. I also like how many different seating options they have: tall cocktail tables; 4-top dining tables; a few couches; and a countertop that runs all around the edges where you can stand and rest your drink if there are no chairs left. Some people were even sitting on the ground, "indian style" or on ledges with their legs dangling over the edge. I can easily see them packing tons of people into this space. Two bars so getting drinks is easier/faster. I only tried the street tacos and they were decent. The pork belly was really good but the shrimp one was just okay. I'm curious to try other things from their menu. Decent beer selection and good margaritas. Parking might be tricky sometimes but since we were there in the evening, it was no problem at all. Very clean bathrooms since they are maintained by the hotel. The other bonus is that if it gets too hot or you just want a quiet spot, you can lounge in the hotel lobby. Good music, both live and prerecorded. They close at 10 on Thursdays so it's not a late night spot but they let a few of us stragglers hang out until 11 while they started closing everything down. I'm torn. It's a great patio bar, about as nice as it gets in Houston. So in the right weather, the ambience is awesome. But it's fairly expensive, and the food was terrible. The menu makes a big deal out of Chef Silvia's Mexican heritage, so thought I'd try the Street Tacos. The chicharron was, frankly, disgusting - one piece inside was simply a big chunk of unseasoned, unrendered, lightly boiled(?) pork fat. Inedible. The barbacoa was a bit better, but the only flavor was smoke. If I want an $8 beer after work on a nice night, I'll stop by. But that's about it. read more

I came here for their grand opening and one time after that. I like coming here because they have valet and they make it really hassle free. The staff is always very friendly and professional. The bar is outside and they have a variety of tables and chairs depending on what you like. They have a full bar and food. My girlfriend had tacos and we shared chips and salsa. Not sure why this bar is named as such, but it's the bar and refuge when you come and stay at the Whitehall. Or, you can get creative and walk from the midtown bars, since it's only a 10 minute walk. It's entirely outside, so probably not open on rainy days. Their food and drinks are not outrageously priced like you might expect. I tried their fried oyster tacos, which were surprisingly good and stuffed with 4 oysters each. Their happy hour extends until Saturdays, so we took advantage of bottle service for only $19!! I ended up ordering two tacos a shrimp and the above mentioned pork belly. The shrimp taco was great and the red salsa was delicious. We stopped in after work one day for happy hour and were pleased with the craft cocktail selection and cheap (but good) bar bites. Thursday nights there is a live acoustic guitarist playing 90's alternative. Great ambiance and good food set amidst the downtown Houston backdrop. I'm always on the hunt for the latest and greatest places in Houston and Part & Parcel has been on my radar for a few months. I've wondered why there were so few Yelp reviews and am still not sure bc this place ROCKS! I posted a bazillion photos so you can see for yourself how great it is - you're welcome!! Maybe they didn't open at the best time (end of April?), as this is a patio-only bar (open weather-permitting) and we all know how wretched Houston can get during the high heat of the summer, but I gotta tell you, we came on the right evening! We had such a great night! First, the service is impeccable! Second, the food and drinks were ON POINT! Also, they validate valet parking - whaaaat?! - holler! You KNOW how clutch this is in the city (and you can tell your friends and colleagues there's no excuses not to join due to parking)!!! This place is also handicap accessible (awesome!) AND pet-friendly. I know another reviewer mentioned the crappy music, but we LOVED it! I asked and they had a 'Southernly Hotels' station that played everything from Harper Valley PTA to Kings of Leon. Apparently, P&P also has a live musician on certain nights. If it gets too windy, they will offer you hair ties - how cool is that?! There is an area for corn hole games if that appeals to you. The sound of traffic didn't bother us once, even with the buses going by, and, in fact, is lovely if you think that city sounds = music to the ears! Did I mention the phenomenal happy hour prices on wine, beer and rail drinks? My office is just down the street and I honestly can't wait to bring my co-workers back here!!! My only complaints were that the Old Fashioned's were weak (VERY delicious, but not worth the price tag bc small and/or watered down) and they need to put hooks under the bar for ladies to hang their purses (I mentioned this to management and hope they'll fix this ASAP!) read more

Tried this place last night. All I can say is Roach Motel! We were greeted immediately (by staff, not roaches at this point) and thought it was going to be great, but were sadly mistaken. No drink menu, so we had to come up with our own drinks, which is a bit unusual for downtown. Roaches everywhere!! We left after one drink due to the roach infestation.
