Avoid Parr lumber entirely, Parr lumber company has always had the worst service possible, I am a larger company that has been in this industry for 38 years. There is not enough space here for me to explain how bad Parr is. From flat out rude at the counter to yard workers telling our guys to load their own material, answering the phone with a "What the F do you want!! Telling us that we are unreasonable for expecting Parr to give us exactly what we paid for, example we ordered black window and doors on a project, they sent white with many pieces broken, there response was we can paint them for you and give you a small credit for the broken windows and when I declined that ridiculous offer they got mad and tried blaming us for their mistake, weeks later we still do not have the very expensive windows and doors that I have paid for and Parr is not trying to be helpful at all in Fact they are going out of their way to be overly rude and refusing to give us information on the reorder of product that we paid for long ago. I buy approx. 400K in windows a year although I do not buy lumber Parr I gave them a shot at our window and door business and it was a huge mistake. Our company and our employees will never ever do business with Parr. Parr acts like a bully and their management backs that up, An area manager name Levi told me personally they could care less about our business, he was upset that I told him about their bad service and that we spend a million plus dollars at the best lumber company in town - Pacific Lumber Co. These facts are not something new this has been Parr's MO for the past 20 years and unfortunately it has gotten worse. Levi the Manager reminded me that Parr is a giant in this area without apology which was more of a threat then a fact. Parr does not exemplify the NW well at all. Stop shopping at Parr Lumber, notable mention for the absolute worst attitude and service is Jim Noblet at the 185th Parr store along with area manager Levi who refused to give his last name which is always a bad sign. read more

Usually great service, and very helpful people, and would have given this a place a 4 except for my experience with their dispatch/delivery service today. I had ordered a several hundred dollar piece of specialized lumber (360 lbs total) to be delivered to my house yesterday. I took the day off to be home to receive it, so started waiting at 8am. By 2:30pm, I called to see what was going on. A gal said they were running behind, but would be loading my piece of lumbar in 15 minutes. I live 5 minutes a way, so decided to keep waiting. Come 5:45pm, I was frustrated, called and got a voicemail, and left a message a fellow named 'A'. What a waste of a day off....So I end up leaving the house, carrying with me my cell phone just in case. After dinner, I come home and see the delivery in my hillside garage. I had days ago told that same 'A' by phone if I weren't home, to leave it on the back patio, and he said "ok." Now I'm stuck with hauling the lumbar up to my back patio myself. To top top things off, 'A' wakes me up at 6:35 this morning to see how things went. Of course I told him my frustrations. He just had excuses, like the driver tried calling (which he didn't) and not a single apology. If he had apologized, I would have given Parr 3 stars. I'm never special ordering anything from this Parr lumber again. read more

I recently had a stellar experience at this particular Parr Lumber and it's worth sharing. I walked in to Parr Lumber knowing what I needed, but not exactly. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by Isaiah. He asked if we needed help and we mentioned what we had in mind and the dimensions of lumber we needed. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took his time to share all of our options as he showed us their large stock of wood. We eventually found exactly what we needed and placed an order. Due to the quantity we needed, they had to place an order from a larger warehouse to fill it. I paid and they took my number down. The next day I called and my order was in stock! I went do to get my order and Isaiah was there to greet me. THEY WERE ALSO GRILLING HAMBURGERS FOR EVERYONE. LIKE, EVERYONE. STAFF, PEOPLE WALKING BY, EVERYONE. Full chips and drinks too! We gave our paperwork to Q who was working the front desk and was immediately taken care of. Isaiah grabbed our order, forklifted it over, and help load it in our truck, all while we enjoyed a hamburger. Look, I never Yelp anything, but after the experience I had at this spot, I had to. I informed the manager that Isaiah was a great worker and my experience was a 10/10. BUY YOUR LUMBER FROM HERE AND SUPPORT LOCAL! read more

As a professional builder and local contractor, we have exclusively used Parr Lumber for all of our material orders. We terminated our partnership yesterday after several complaints from homeowners about the severe lack of quality in both the lumber delivered, and the way it was delivered. Material orders were thrown over fences, Constantly wrong or missing items, And incredibly rude and unhelpful delivery drivers. Yesterday one of the delivery drivers was so rude. The homeowner called us crying demanding to cancel the order because how rude and disrespectful the Delivery driver was. We will be taking our business of 200 + projects a year to a more professional and reliable lumber supplier. I would STRONGLY Recommend going with a different company for your lumber needs. I would recommend Conrad lumber or Sherwood lumber. Just think if they're willing to screw me over with no hesitation and I send them hundreds of thousands of dollars in business imagine what they will do to you. read more

So we all get building materials in a few places but I've gotta say there is none other like this Parr lumbar's kindness and quick service. I had a job out in white salmon searching all over for 2500 LF' of cedar t&g in 10' lengths. Searching for 250 10' boards Isn't as easy as you would think. They sell them by the foot so you'll get all kinds of lengths if you don't ask! Well there's a savior and amazing leader at the parr desk in the nw named Ashly! She called the distributor and made my clients dream come true and her help was crucial to making this basement so beautiful! Thanks for doing such a great job for all of us dream makers out there! Happy thanksgiving! read more

All I can say is after a sakes employee smeared me, saying,"spitting image of your Dad" I could never be motivated to work with them again. I'm at a blackout anger level with the way everyone goes into a euphio machine character assassination and a racial control fit. I am not Mexican nor Hispanic. I'm not French either. And I hope everything falls apart very badly. You selfish liar's made me angry for the rest of my life. It's not just Parr lumber, everywhere I go it constant belittlement and scapegoating. And I really wouldn't work with any of you ever again. I wouldn't do anything for you selfish liar's. read more

Im a regular at this lumber yard. Finding parking to get loaded is tough enough. The yard supervisor that handles the truck unloading needs to do less talking and more working. Ive had to get loaded in the middle of the street Becuase he is literally talking for 5-10 minutes or more from the time i get there with the truck driver's. This not only puts employees at risk of getting hit but also my safety. This should be very unacceptable. The employees do their best with the situations they get put into and i really appreciate them. read more

Came in an talked to katie saturday about the differnt types of composit decking vs a xedar decking she wad very knowledgeable about the composit and wood options. Gave us pricing on all the decking offerende and a book and samples that we could take home. Very helpful in starting the design process of our deck. She even explained what the term picture framing ofna deck meant that it has no other benifit other than hiding grooved board on the edge but not something that has to be do. Will be coming back when ready to buy our deck read more

Be careful walking your dog, even if on leash, near this location. They allow an aggressive off leash dog to roam the property that has attacked at least 2 dogs in the past 3 months, including my dog. Parr said they would not allow the dog back on their property off leash and would speak to owner after this was previously reported (to Parr, to non-emergency police, and to animal control), this clearly did not happen as she's here every few days- making this area unsafe for the NW community. :( read more

I love the parr lumber on 19th, they are the nicest people. I in no way believe that any one that works at that location are white supremacist. Sounds like someone is just trying to start problems. I think it's despicable for for someone to run around calling people, they know nothing about, white supremacist. That is a terrible thing to say about a person, especially when that could not be further from the truth, especially the guy in the photo! read more

Put myself in a bad situation recently when I miscounted the number of bags of concrete needed to finish a small project. I got the first ten mix and in the ground before I realized all the old bags I had stored were hard as a rock. I called on my way to Parr 19th and Katie had Ten bags waiting on a pallet to be loaded. All I had to do was sign for the purchase and drive away. Great customer service! and it saved my project. Thank you Katie! read more

We are adding a large deck to our backyard and finding enough lumber has proved to be challenging. We called Parr and Katie Hass was an all star. Katie went above and beyond in pulling together our large order from multiple yards and walked us through the financing process. In growing our business we will continue to come back to Parr. Thanks Katie! read more
