Two thumbs up!!!
Nicole J.

Service was great! Loved the ambiance- an actual old school cafe. The food was awesome!! Kids gave two thumbs up!!

This is as "small town café" as it gets! The country cooking and décor have me watching into the kitchen to see if someone's grandma is back there whisking up her favorite recipes to share with her guests. But she's not, it's a young man who's managing the kitchen by solo while a young lady handles front of the house tasks. It's a small team, and they are getting it done! The food was just as good as I expected it to be. Piping hot and the antithesis of diet food, I enjoy my chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. The peas were a little cold in the middle, but who needs peas anyway? That roll is surprisingly tall, and I can only finish the top of it. I'm excited to return to try breakfast. Everything about this restaurant leads me to think that they serve up a mean morning meal, and I want to find out.

Blandness city. Now with shards o' glass bacon!

For a place that's in the middle of the road, the taste of the food is also middle of the road. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns. And none of it had any flavoring, seasoning or spices. 100% bland. The bacon was also overcooked, like tiny shards of glass. There were some positives though: our server was pretty attentive and the portion sizes were large and all the food was hot.

post cinnamon bun

This cafe has ALWAYS been a treat! My brother and I stumbled upon it on our trip to park city, utah a few years back and ever since then I have made my way back each time I drive through the 15. I heavily recommend not only stopping for a cinnamon bun but also to their visitor center, the whole town is absolutely amazing. The customer service is phenomenal and i always look forward to visiting when I can.

Yummy cinnamon roll!

Great little cafe' to stop in for some friendly service and comfort food. This cafe' sits in Parowan which is at the bottom of the ski resort known as Brianhead. We have ate here a couple of times during ski season and we stopped in on our way home recently from a trip. We wanted to try their cinnamon roll. There are two options, one with raisins and one without. I went with the one without raisins. They wrapped it up nicely and added a lot of cream cheese frosting. Once we got home, I tried it and the roll itself was light, fluffy and tasty. The only issues I had was too much frosting. Next time, I will ask for the roll with no frosting. This is definitely worth a roadside stop when traveling.

A great priced stop for lunch with the small town home cooked charm you'd expect. As far as "best cinnamon rolls" I'd disagree but the salad and dinner roll were well worth the stop, especially for $7! My husband got the special and enjoyed everything from the soup to the crispy fries. I would eat here again but skip the $3.50 cinnamon roll and spend that on the full salad.

Delicious Food! This is what a small town cafe should be like! I had to pull off the freeway when I saw the sign for the best cinnamon rolls in the West. About a mile off the freeway and we found this little gem! The cinnamon rolls were on the small side but very good! Biscuits and hot gravy was great too! The overall charm is what I really liked. The staff that helped us were all very nice to me and my wife! We are from Cali but any time we pass through we will definitely stop again! Love this place!!!

Parowan Cafe is a cute little diner that seems to fit a maximum of 50 people. Traveling from Brian Head back to Salt Lake City, we made a pit stop for lunch. My group of 5 were seated in a booth with a chair in the hallway. I felt like I was in people's way, to go to the kitchen and bathroom, but I really didn't have a choice. Staff members are extremely sweet and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed and treated us like family. There's a lot of food that comes with each meal. So much food that we couldn't fit them all on the table. The pancakes are really fluffy and HUGE! I love that they warm their syrup here which makes the pancakes taste even better! I ordered the avocado Swiss burger, but switched Swiss cheese for pepper jack with s side salad. I forgot to order the salad with the thousand island dressing on the side so it was drowned in it. My fault and I didn't ask for a replacement. I still ate all of it! Now the burger came out as sliced bread. I was expecting a bun, but this worked out since they buttered the bread and grilled it like grilled cheese! Mmm! The best part about it was the bread stayed crunchy even after eating the first half. Sorry I couldn't take pictures of the other plates. Everyone began digging in their food and it wasn't pretty anymore. I'd come back if I'm ever in town again. Thanks for serving us hungry folks!

Breakfasts wrap. Very generous size. Eggs, sausage and hash browns in there.

We recently learned that they opened the new location and decided to give it a try. Menu much the same as the old place. A good selection of breakfast and lunch fare. The owners have done a great job creating a country-themed café with all their decor. Today we were driving back from St. George after watching our favorite musical, Les Miserable at Tuacahn. My mother-in-law is also huge fan of Sister Wives and showed her where Meri Brown's former Lizzie's Heritage Inn is located - I was egging her on to ring the doorbell to say hi! On our way back home, we decided to stop by Dede's for some snacks. We ordered a cinnamon roll, cherry pie, blueberry pie a la mode to eat at the restaurant and a pumpkin cheese muffin strudel to go. The cinnamon roll was served warm with cream cheese frosting and powdered sugar on top. I was disappointed with how dry outsides of the roll was. However the more you dig into the center, the more moist the center became. I wanted a softer center with more cinnamon flavor. The frosting was too sweet and needed more cream cheese flavor. My suggestion is to use heavy cream before they bake the rolls to give it that super soft roll. I really like this blueberry pie filling! It was crushed blueberries but had nice chunks of blueberries. The top and bottom of the crust was not great but not bad. If I could get the crusts from Vejo Pies with this filling, it would be phenomenal! I would definitely stop by next time to get a piece of this pie. I never grow to try the muffin because I already had too much sugar for the day. My daughter will let me know how this tastes. If you stop by Parowan, it is a really quaint city and since it's almost Halloween, the city has decorated Main Street with bales of Halloween themed bales. It was a great way to top off our little weekend retreat!
