We recently learned that they opened the new location and decided to give it a try. Menu much the same as the old place. A good selection of breakfast and lunch fare. The service was great as was the food. It's a little bit of a drive for us now, but I think we'll try to make it once a month.

The owners have done a great job creating a country-themed café with all their decor. Today we were driving back from St. George after watching our favorite musical, Les Miserable at Tuacahn. My mother-in-law is also huge fan of Sister Wives and showed her where Meri Brown's former Lizzie's Heritage Inn is located - I was egging her on to ring the doorbell to say hi! On our way back home, we decided to stop by Dede's for some snacks. We ordered a cinnamon roll, cherry pie, blueberry pie a la mode to eat at the restaurant and a pumpkin cheese muffin strudel to go. The cinnamon roll was served warm with cream cheese frosting and powdered sugar on top. I was disappointed with how dry outsides of the roll was. However the more you dig into the center, the more moist the center became. I wanted a softer center with more cinnamon flavor. The frosting was too sweet and needed more cream cheese flavor. My suggestion is to use heavy cream before they bake the rolls to give it that super soft roll. I really like this blueberry pie filling! It was crushed blueberries but had nice chunks of blueberries. The top and bottom of the crust was not great but not bad. If I could get the crusts from Vejo Pies with this filling, it would be phenomenal! I would definitely stop by next time to get a piece of this pie. I never grow to try the muffin because I already had too much sugar for the day. My daughter will let me know how this tastes. If you stop by Parowan, it is a really quaint city and since it's almost Halloween, the city has decorated Main Street with bales of Halloween themed bales. It was a great way to top off our little weekend retreat!

The shrimp escalante did not look like much food, especially for the price. However, the street tacos pulled pork looked like a great value! Granola, coconut shavings, honey, and almond butter. Loved it!!!

Not sure where the good reviews are coming from, but this place was not what I expected…read more I was hoping for a healthy acai bowl, and a delicious homemade sandwich. I got neither. The acai bowl was tiny, runny, and tasted cheap. They said they get their granola from Walmart (which is definitely not healthy), so I skipped that. I did add peanut butter, and I'm pretty sure it's the cheap stuff with added sugar. The fruit on top was mushy and tasted like previously frozen, not fresh. I do not recommend you get this. The turkey sandwich with cream cheese cranberry spread was not for us. Again, I'm pretty sure the bread and thin sliced deli meat Turkey came from Walmart. We did not like it. On top of that, it took so long to get our food, and there was hardly anyone in the store. Out of the 3 workers, one young girl was making all the food, while the other two were just standing there talking. I'll never come back.

Fire & Smoke BBQ is exactly what Cedar City has been waiting for…read more From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Isabel, who took our order and handled the register, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food was excellent across the board, but the BBQ beans deserve a special mention. They have a rich smoky flavor and just the right amount of seasoning without being overly sweet like so many BBQ places tend to make them. You can tell the recipes were developed by people who understand barbecue. One of the highlights of our visit was when the owner personally came by our table to introduce himself and say hello. That simple gesture speaks volumes about the pride and care they put into both their food and their customers. The prices were fair, the portions were generous, and the quality exceeded expectations. Cedar City has seen several BBQ restaurants come and go over the years, but Fire & Smoke BBQ finally hit it out of the park. This is the place we've been waiting for.
