Last Sunday was the third time we've tried this place and it is consistently mediocre. Service was really slow, we had to ask for refills during our 50 minute wait for two hamburgers. When our food arrived the burgers were really dry. My salad was iceberg with some shredded cheese on top; no onion, tomato, nothing. I had to ask for dressing and mustard for the burger. The biggest problem with the wait times seemed to be in the kitchen, but a good waitstaff could have smoothed it over with drink refills etc. The waitstaff seemed to be very young and inexperienced. The owner is a very cute, kind lady that seems to know all the customers by name and asks about their families. The food was delicious. I ordered huevos rancheros. It was huge. It had a lot of beans. We ate there yesterday morning. The food was good no complaints. The service was ok. The waitress was on her phone the whole time. But, our order was correct. It was the atmosphere we had to sit through. There was a talk radio show condemning women for supporting some cause of their choosing somewhere. Then they started on the gays and transgender and the LBGTI community. None of it was pleasant To listen. Small place on the main drag in cedar city utah...decent menu for breakfast and lunch and the service was pretty good for a small town establishment...food was okay, not great. Restaurant felt cold and they had portable heaters on the countertop. We visited this breakfast place on a Sunday morning and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The waitresses seemed overwhelmed, with only one cook in the kitchen. The lack of air conditioning and reliance on a swamp cooler made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The prices for the food were surprisingly high, and our order of one entree, a kids meal, and two cups of coffee totaled around $40, which felt excessive. the food itself was subpar, especially considering the steep price tag. Ok where to start. It took over 49 mins to get our food, which was not correct, but by then you just eat it wrong because you don't want to wait again. We didn't get a single refill on our drinks which was only water so it really should have been refilled. The waitress was so rude. She looked like she didn't want to be there. Been twice but won't be back. Food was terrible to the point we both left after eating only the toast. Scrambled eggs had been poured on the griddle and not stirred. They were paper thin and completely brown. Hash browns were inedible as they were burnt to a crisp and served cold. We thought maybe the first time was a fluke but it's not. Stopped in for breakfast this morning after 18 holes so closer to noon than morning and were immediately seated and soon after served. Our pleasant helpful waitress quickly brought my delicious Eggs Benedict and hash browns and added a tasty salsa on request. My husband had the biggest and best omelette he'd ever had bursting with bacon cheese and avocado. Both looked just like the photos shown here. I think public reviews are needed for some places, when the food is either exceptionally good... or something is extremely poor (so people can benefit from knowing what's ahead... either a memorable treat... or... buyer beware, dont waste your time or money.) The man who remodled this building told me that the woman moving in is from CA, and she knows food. He said, "she has it going on... and I believe this will be the new 'hot spot' for Cedar City." I had a breakfast burrito; they are $13 and it looked like they put the bacon through a food processor to get a micro-mini crumble, and then very sparcly sprinkled a few over 2 eggs and a handful of hashbrowns. The burrito was small but fresh; the 2 eggs were delicious, and the hashbrowns were also... BUT, it literally had NO bacon... so that's where it went wrong for me. My son had a burger, also $13... it looked good, but again, not $13 good. I was hungry an hour later. So... for us, this was a 'buyer beware' experience! My husband and I ate there a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning. It was quite busy and with a minimal wait, we were able get a table. This is the first time we been there since the change of ownership. We did however have a wait in terms of service. My husband ordered from the breakfast menu and I ordered a sandwich. I also ordered the home style potatoes at an additional $2 cost. We both ordered hot tea which consisted of a tea bag and a cup of hot water. We had to wait for some time before our order came and were never offered any additional water for more tea. The orders arrived and my sandwich had mashed avocado instead of sliced and no toast with the breakfast. When I finally got the attention of one of the servers, she came over and started to pour coffee in my empty tea cup. I told her that just needed more hot water and another tea bag some other server brought over hot water in a chipped cup, no tea bag. I guess what upset me the most was the lack of concern on how the tea was served. No hottle bottle or plate to put the bag on, just hot water and a single tea bag. Wow, lets charge $2.55 for that. I asked for cream which I never got, but somehow in the midst of the service, I noticed that the bill was left at the end of the table. No, offer to get anything else, nothing. Overall, the food was average at best. In my opinion the extra money for the home style potatoes was a waste. Service was not good. Additional staff on Saturday(s) might be something the owner should consider. Improvement on tea service is a must, if they even care. Who knows. read more

Vittles is delicious! The breakfast burrito was HUGE and my husband couldn't finish it. This is one the few diners in town with eggs Benedict on the menu and they are a must-have. It definitely filled my craving! My daughter had the pancake which was the size of a small pizza but still managed to remain fluffy on the inside and slightly crisp on the edges. We all enjoyed sharing this. Prices seemed reasonable to me. For a family of 3, ordering 3 adult meals, we paid $36. My husband was impressed with the size of the take away coffee, it was a solid 18 oz, which was a nice surprise. The venue is remodeled and beautiful. read more

Came here for first time for a Sunday breakfast. Coffee is delicious and they keep it fresh with plenty of refills. Menu is full of great offerings. I had the Denver omelette it was full of chopped ham and veggies, topped with cheese, very satisfying. My husband enjoyed the corn beef hash with a large side pancake. The pancake was light, fluffy and delicious with a hint of vanilla, quite good. We enjoyed the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Someone complained it was inefficiently cooled by a swamp cooler... don't know what he was referring to. The inside temp was perfect and comfortable.
