    St. Louis Ribs and Brisket
    William K.

The BBQ is good. The ribs were a bit dry. I would recommend that you reheat the ribs in a sous vide to rehydrate before throwing them on the fire. You can also look toward a day long brine bath before the initial baking. The brisket was two slices. One that was a little dry and the other one melted in your mouth like butter. They have three sauces which are all very tasty and it makes it fun to mix and match the sauces with the meats. The sides need a bit of work. Salt is your friend. Don't be afraid to kick it up. You don't want to taste it, but, without enough in the food falls flat in flavor. And right now, you are falling flat. The slaw was too fresh. It was too crispy and it hasn't absorbed enough of the flavors or wilted enough to be pleasant to eat. It also cuts the bitterness. Make certain you are using a good heavy duty mayo. It will stick to the slaw better. Right now it was too flat and runny. The celery seeds are a nice touch. The beans are great, but, it needs a bit more salt. Also, maybe a dash of Worcester sauce. The corn was... interesting. The roasting process sucks out much of the moisture. You can reheat in a butter sous vide which will add moisture and flavor. I would ask if people want all of these sides. The pickles, jalapeños and pickled onion went to waste. It's nice, but, save yourself the wasted food by simply asking. This was my first time, so I did appreciate it. In the future, though, I'll hand them back instead of throwing them away. The restaurant can really use more soft materials. Things like plants, and booths. This will make it less of a warehouse feel and it will reduce noise and make the dining experience more intimate. Your water barrel is really cool. Keep that! BBQ places are infamous for their desserts. I would recommend some daily cobblers, strawberry cake and maybe a nice carrot cake. You also can sell corn bread. There are a number of opportunities to dial in your restaurant. Right now it's very vanilla. Heck, maybe serve Apple Dumplings. But you want to carve a lane and create your own signature items. That is what brings people back!

New BBQ open in Cedar. The place is clean and bright, which is inviting. You order at the counter and they bring out your order to you. The amount of food for the cost didn't measure up for me. The meats are done fairly well. Pulled pork is often overrated, but I was really impressed by theirs. The backwoods beans are not baked beans. Be prepared :). Coleslaw was average and heavy on the celery seed. The bbq sauces are also different. The garnishes that they served with the meats were awesome. Pickled onions, pickled cabbage/peppers, and pickles. Those garnishes with a bite of the pulled pork were the highlight for me!

OMG!!! Native Texan here to tell you these folks are doing Texas BBQ right! NEVER in my 60+ years of life have I ever had Texas style BBQ anywhere outside Texas that was like home. I have also NEVER ordered a meal to go for myself when I was stuffed and just couldn't bear not having the same thing for dinner! I did today! They just opened a few days ago. Owners were both on site and they KNOW Texas BBQ down to the slice of white bread with your meal and perfect sausage direct from Texas. The whole family had perfect Texas manners and were delightfully hospitable We tried brisket, mild pepper sausage, and pork-all were excellent. I mean truly exceptional! For sides we had the cheesy potatoes (omg! Perfectly seasoned throughout-which is rare in my experience), Mac & Cheese (just like I make at home-the real cream makes ALL the difference), and the fire roasted jalapeño corn (we appreciate that it was fresh corn-not canned-but this one fell short for us both. Not bad at all and better than you will get elsewhere, but we got no hint of jalapeño and felt it was slightly "watery") As for sauce, we tried them all but would tell you good BBQ don't need no silly sauce on it. That being said we liked the mustard version best-which surprised us both! The "house" and "spicy" didn't add to the meal, but like I said good BBQ doesn't need sauce and this was not just good but excellent-and you may have noticed I can be a little bit picky about stuff. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I will just have to say this is one of the best eating experiences I have had in Utah and hands down the best in Cedar City!

3 Protein + 2 side order. Brisket, Pulled Pork and Jalapeño sausage. The 2 side Cheesy potatoes and good ole Mac and Cheese

Great new spot in downtown Cedar City. The food is absolutely delicious and perfectly tender. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeño sausage, and every item was spot on--excellent flavor and cooked just right. It's great to finally have another solid option serving up high-quality barbecue in Cedar City. Definitely worth checking out if you're downtown. AMAZING SERVICE , AMAZING PEOPLE

This Is The Entire reason why Yelp was created. This is DEFINITELY one of those places. It has a bit of a High Tea with the Mad Hatter vibe, which is fantastic. The interior, needs some floor plans to help break up the unobstructed line of site in the restaurant. With a concept like this, you want little places where you can duck and hide from the public. Plants are a great way of doing this. The menu is very nice. They actually have the menus to mix and match. They have their standard food menu, an extensive selection of beets, wines, mixed libations and even a very nice selection of non alcohol drinks as well. The server did a great job of pointing out her favorites including a fried avocado appetizer that is diabolically tasty! For the main meal I went with the Spicy Burger. It wasn't very spicy but out had wonderfully fresh jalapeño slices and guacamole on top. The burger could use a little more seasoning, but, it was a very thick and juicy piece of meat. It comes with fries and a dipping sauce that is also house made. For dessert I tried their carrot cake. It's very good but it's missing the variations in texture that most people look toward carrot cake of providing. It's a very moist cake topped with more of a butter icing than a cream cheese icing. If there is cream cheese in that icing, I would recommend that you switch it toward Philadelphia Cream Cheese since it offers a bit more of a lemon bite to it. The cake itself has no fruit. So, off you hate raisins, have no fear. They are not in there. But, it would be nice if they did have some sort of fruit in the cake to help break up tie monotony of the cake itself. Toss Is a place that is definitely thinking outside the box and so far, it seems to be working really well. A great place right in the center of town with lots of parking and access in both the front and the back of the restaurant. My server did a great job of making suggestions and making certain that my water glass was always full! Keep up the great work!

Yes the staff are attentive, yes they care, but they look so worried if they were to displease you. Which kind of makes me think of the environment a little. Yes it may be adjacent to fine dining, but honestly, I think I came in during the crowd of snobs. So if you do dine here don't be a snob, please treat your servers with respect too. They're people too. The food? I wasn't as pleased if I'm being honest. I guess coming during a rush is a 50/50 and I got the latter part of that 50. For starters, my mushroom burger was unfortunately really salty. Like really salty. I think I got the burger that was cooked freshly, however, they're must've been a complaint that got over looked and so the staff had to like bum rush to get that order corrected (again, treat your servers nicely). I had fries and fry sauce with my order. However i did not like it. Like at all. The fries were crisp. Hella crisp. But the the fry sauce wasn't not giving. It had like some sort of minty aftertaste as if I tasted a hint of winter green peppermint. It was unfortunate that I didn't eat the burger. I literally took 3 bites and I was over it. The salt content followed by minty like fry sauce wasn't too much for me to bare. But like I didn't want to tell them it was that bad. lol again, they looked as if they were forced to ensure everything was in tip top shape or else something bad was to happen. As for the brussel sprouts? At first bite it was decent, the after taste was not. After a few bites, the brussel sprouts just started to become bland and sort of had this rubbery taste to it. I am not too sure what it was, but there was definitely something off about it. I think they should've added something sweet to counteract the rich dairy creamy taste to this. So that itd be sweet & savory as opposed to creamy and bitter. I enjoyed the ambience though, the service too. I do think this place could stand the test of time as to how unique it is. The staff are trained properly, food could get a tune up, but idk, it's just when you come in here you know this is some place you'd def see in New York. Though the rating I gave was low, I'm still going to go over here. I kind of plan to try everything on the menu, and to give these folks like 30 chances LoL. Because something about this place just feels like it could be potentially thee best dining spot, we as reviewers just got to find that sweet spot.

The Phuket pizza was basically like generic Asian salad grocery kit dumped onto a cheese pizza. I was not expecting that much ingredients and should've looked up pictures and reviews on here. I immediately had regret and wished I ordered the barbecue chicken instead. Not sure how this was particularly even Thai inspired. I liked the crust at least, and my boyfriend enjoyed the margherita pizza. View of the canyon were great on the patio too, kinda crazy how right by the cliff this restaurant was. I'm rounding up to 4 stars because the frappe we had was genuinely good - you can taste the coffee and it wasn't overpowered by the sweeteners. Wish we had time to stop by for more in the mornings, but we started early in Zion. So overall, stick to more classics here and you probably won't be as disappointed as I was.

I guess more busy due to being a weekend maybe, not sure. The food was good. My husband was happy to have the pizza he wanted and said it was amazing! The dining experience was nice, not too bright and not too loud. And I'd like to add - a server should never assume one or the other in a party is paying. The check was given directly to my husband to which he replied "she's paying for it" and he handed it to me. That's not a good look!
