    St. Louis Ribs and Brisket
    William K.

The BBQ is good. The ribs were a bit dry. I would recommend that you reheat the ribs in a sous vide to rehydrate before throwing them on the fire. You can also look toward a day long brine bath before the initial baking. The brisket was two slices. One that was a little dry and the other one melted in your mouth like butter. They have three sauces which are all very tasty and it makes it fun to mix and match the sauces with the meats. The sides need a bit of work. Salt is your friend. Don't be afraid to kick it up. You don't want to taste it, but, without enough in the food falls flat in flavor. And right now, you are falling flat. The slaw was too fresh. It was too crispy and it hasn't absorbed enough of the flavors or wilted enough to be pleasant to eat. It also cuts the bitterness. Make certain you are using a good heavy duty mayo. It will stick to the slaw better. Right now it was too flat and runny. The celery seeds are a nice touch. The beans are great, but, it needs a bit more salt. Also, maybe a dash of Worcester sauce. The corn was... interesting. The roasting process sucks out much of the moisture. You can reheat in a butter sous vide which will add moisture and flavor. I would ask if people want all of these sides. The pickles, jalapeños and pickled onion went to waste. It's nice, but, save yourself the wasted food by simply asking. This was my first time, so I did appreciate it. In the future, though, I'll hand them back instead of throwing them away. The restaurant can really use more soft materials. Things like plants, and booths. This will make it less of a warehouse feel and it will reduce noise and make the dining experience more intimate. Your water barrel is really cool. Keep that! BBQ places are infamous for their desserts. I would recommend some daily cobblers, strawberry cake and maybe a nice carrot cake. You also can sell corn bread. There are a number of opportunities to dial in your restaurant. Right now it's very vanilla. Heck, maybe serve Apple Dumplings. But you want to carve a lane and create your own signature items. That is what brings people back!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Craving some bbq and checked what was around. From the moment I walked in everything said down home cookout. The smell of smoked meats, the look of an old barn, warm and cozy, it was perfect. The woman that took our order listened to us debating what to get and offered a combo that not only satisfied everything we wanted, but also saved us money. We got the brisket, turkey, and pulled pork along with the cheesy potatoes and Mac & cheese. Everything was perfect!

New BBQ open in Cedar. The place is clean and bright, which is inviting. You order at the counter and they bring out your order to you. The amount of food for the cost didn't measure up for me. The meats are done fairly well. Pulled pork is often overrated, but I was really impressed by theirs. The backwoods beans are not baked beans. Be prepared :). Coleslaw was average and heavy on the celery seed. The bbq sauces are also different. The garnishes that they served with the meats were awesome. Pickled onions, pickled cabbage/peppers, and pickles. Those garnishes with a bite of the pulled pork were the highlight for me!

OMG!!! Native Texan here to tell you these folks are doing Texas BBQ right! NEVER in my 60+ years of life have I ever had Texas style BBQ anywhere outside Texas that was like home. I have also NEVER ordered a meal to go for myself when I was stuffed and just couldn't bear not having the same thing for dinner! I did today! They just opened a few days ago. Owners were both on site and they KNOW Texas BBQ down to the slice of white bread with your meal and perfect sausage direct from Texas. The whole family had perfect Texas manners and were delightfully hospitable We tried brisket, mild pepper sausage, and pork-all were excellent. I mean truly exceptional! For sides we had the cheesy potatoes (omg! Perfectly seasoned throughout-which is rare in my experience), Mac & Cheese (just like I make at home-the real cream makes ALL the difference), and the fire roasted jalapeño corn (we appreciate that it was fresh corn-not canned-but this one fell short for us both. Not bad at all and better than you will get elsewhere, but we got no hint of jalapeño and felt it was slightly "watery") As for sauce, we tried them all but would tell you good BBQ don't need no silly sauce on it. That being said we liked the mustard version best-which surprised us both! The "house" and "spicy" didn't add to the meal, but like I said good BBQ doesn't need sauce and this was not just good but excellent-and you may have noticed I can be a little bit picky about stuff. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I will just have to say this is one of the best eating experiences I have had in Utah and hands down the best in Cedar City!

3 Protein + 2 side order. Brisket, Pulled Pork and Jalapeño sausage. The 2 side Cheesy potatoes and good ole Mac and Cheese

Great new spot in downtown Cedar City. The food is absolutely delicious and perfectly tender. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeño sausage, and every item was spot on--excellent flavor and cooked just right. It's great to finally have another solid option serving up high-quality barbecue in Cedar City. Definitely worth checking out if you're downtown. AMAZING SERVICE , AMAZING PEOPLE

This place is worth the out of the way drive. We ate on our way to Iowa, then stopped again on the way home from Iowa.

Come for the food, stay for the great service and welcoming ambiance…read more For Starters, the Nonna's meatballs have a great home cooked flavor and taste, that other restaurants wish they could replicate. Follow it up with the Pollo Bianco (with red grapes) and the Fennel Sausage pizzas, as any of their pizzas will complement the rest of your evening. Our server, Sage, was tuned in on every cue that left us satisfied during our time here at Centro. The hostess, Ryleigh, was prompt with greeting us and assisting with arranging our table upon arrival. (pro tip: don't forget to make your reservation ahead of time, great minds think alike when it comes down to picking a great spot for dinner) Overall, this is a great dining experience. The staff are friendly and so are the locals you'll sit next to. This restaurant is always on the top of our travel itinerary when in Southern Utah.

Our first stop upon arriving Cedar City is Centro to have some pizza. We went through the back…read moreside to park our car and went straight to the front. It was not crowded because it has passed lunch hours. The place is like any pizza parlors with more high tables a few standard height on the sides and front. The flooring seemed untidy. But overall it was cozy and relaxing. We noticed that there were a few businessmen dining. Apparently there are 2 conventions going on. We got seated right away and our server, Cassandra welcomed us with a big smile. She introduced herself and apparently she is from South Dakota and just started there two weeks go. She gave us all the info on their wood fired pizzas and made some suggestions. She observed that my husband and I have different tastes so she recommended to order half/half which was a great idea. My hubby opted for the spicy one for half and ordered my side to have artichoke and added mushrooms. She forewarned us that their salads are huge good for 4 people but it did not discourage us to order. Glad I did order as the Caesar's salad was fresh, crisp with lots of Parmesan shavings and the dressing was perfect. It tasted like it has a hint of anchovies which we love. By the time we were done with the salad, the pizza came and it was delicious! The red sauce topping was perfectly spiced and the white sauce topping on my side was flavorful. I normally like my pizza crust crispy but since it's oven fired, it was just as good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was amazing and we will definitely go back the next time we are in town.
