I am a happily married wife with 4 kids. I am a healthcare professional & take my family & career seriously. My kitchen was 25 years old, & needed to be re done. I saved for 5 years for this kitchen remodel. Jack was very pleasant & patient & had great ideas. The price was right so I went with Paros. However, Its been 10 months & my kitchen is not 100% complete. Still needs 3 grounded prong for dishwasher ( which flooded 2 times & was very loud. I begged for them to take dishwasher out & no sound barrier/ insulation was around dw.... We found it a bit torn in the box in the garage. Then they wrapped it around with some duct tape.) still need sealant for tile & backsplash.
Cabinets were done wrong & it took begging & pleading to get main ones corrected. They kept making me feel like I was being too picky. They fixed them after a long 3 week delay. Still have issue with one cabinet opening & hitting the range hood, which dented the cabinet.
When all appliances were in, the oven didnt work because they forgot to place a 220 volt of electricity for the oven. So more delay . At this time I asked for another contractor because the first one did a terrible job with outlets, dishwasher insertion, garbage disposal, forgot electricity & had to reroute a thick cable from one wall, through my bottom cabinets ( actually made holes in them to feed the cable through) all the way to the oven area. They had to take out Oven, do elitrical work & then put it back. Really, how does a contractor forget the electricity to the wall oven?
First try of garbage disposal sounded like rocks were in it. Some parts were put in wrong. So they fixed it. First time ran dishwasher, water flooded out of top air gap thingy all over the new counter & down onto new cabinets. So i tried a different cycle the next day, & it flooded again.
4 6" by 6" holes made in my kitchen walls for outlets. They put them in the wrong areas which i had blue tape where i wanted them. So they moved them to correct position but did not drywall the 4 6" by 6" holes before applying the backsplash. When i pressed in, the backsplash moved into the holes! This could not last for another 10 years, the backsplash would soon be caveing in & little tiles would break off. So more delay... I had to beg & plead for them to remove backsplash, patch up holes & reapply.
When we picked granite they told us to stay at A certain Level. I think it was 5. We drove to stores 3 times from the IE during Christmas season & took all the kids & finally we all agreed on one from Level they told us. We picked our 2 slabs with the big device. Excited because we loved it! Then a week later, we got a call from Jack that even though it is the correct price level, it is on the high end. How in the heck were we supposed to know that? We had to go back again after New years & find another stylr. Another month delay! My sons wedding was in Januart too. So to keep going back to pick granite was very difficult.
The kitchen looks good but i feel i trusted that they would always do the correct thing from the beginning. I trusted their workmanship way too much. I was so excited to finally get a new kitchen but after the first 3 major mistakes... Cabinets, outlets/ backsplas, granite. I thought, wow these guys Need Full Time Babysitter! So if you can take 6 months off from work & inspect everything they do, go with Paros. read more
