Rating: 3/5 This place always caught my eye whenever we walked by, so I was excited when one of the SXSW events we attended ended up being here. Upon check-in, we received a free drink ticket and headed straight to the bar, which wasn't busy. We ordered an AMF and a Long Island, but both were light and thrown together--similar to what you'd get at a club. Out back, the line for food curved near the entryway, making it hard to tell where it ended. A staff member had to be stationed there just to manage the crowd. The sound quality was also terrible--we couldn't hear anything from the back. To make matters worse, they played music while the speakers were talking, making it even harder to follow. Overall, Parlor & Yard was not a great venue for this event, and I wouldn't come back for the drinks either. read more

Bills Backers bar in Austin that was worth the visit! Really friendly staff at the bar and its a big indoor/outdoor space with plenty of TVs and music! They had a great selection of draft beers and Labatt Blue in bottles, which was awesome! I would definitely come back when im in town! read more

This is definitely one of the more chill bars on West 6th. I'm sure the vibes are better for game days since it's a sports bar. My friends and I ended our night here after going to the more lively adjacent bars, and this was a good place to sit outside and chat. There was only one other group occupying one of the picnic tables. They have a basketball arcade game that you can pay for, and it was a lot of fun competing with each other. read more

Visit. Ed this venue while in austin for a business conference. Our team rented out the entire space and it was perfect for the occasion , and they brought in a person who did some excellent barbecue ribs and brisket. Outside the main bar is an area where you can play cornhole and sit outside under the nice cafe.Lighting definitely worth checking out if you have a big group! read more

The first time I visited Parlor & Yard, they had a beautiful Austin mural that enticed me to come in. Parlor & Yard is a very chill spot with decent drinks and one of the only places on West Six that offers filtered water & is dog friendly, which are huge pluses for me! It's not really the place for a party vibe, but perfect for game days and relaxing with friends. read more

Awesome spot and typically has the best bands out of anywhere in Austin. The staff just do their jobs well and don't cause unnecessary drama or issues with patrons. If there was one thing they should change its having big UFC/Boxing fights. Also there's no reason this spot shouldn't be pet friendly because its all outdoors read more

We ordered burgers here, while the default mode is a double patty it will cost you $16 which I believe is a lot considering that you'll have to order the fries separately (for an additional $5). The burger was juicy and delicious though but I would rank it next to in and out burgers. Service is nonexistent since you'll serve yourself but the food was prepared quickly. It's a bar with live music so imagine the ambiance accordingly. A certain type of people are around and the there's dancing going on with lots of noise so keep that in mind before planning to go there. read more

I was in town for a work conference and a few of us wanted to go out to watch the Rams vs Vikings playoff game. This place was recommended to me by my friend's son who had attended University of Texas. It was a Monday night so the place was basically empty. Even if it had been busy though there were a lot of TV's so it would have still been easy to see the game. The beers were reasonably priced, and we shared a couple of orders of fries which were fantastic! They have a pop-a-shot machine which made for some friendly competition during halftime of the game. There is an outdoors portion of it too, but it was cold out that night so that part was not open. I definitely recommend this place for watching sports. read more

I really enjoy this place when watching games or just hanging out. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and variance in seating options (high top, bar, couch, picnic table). Well kept place and it pulls a pretty good crowd but it's never been too crammed inside. Good music and the sound levels aren't insane either. NADC burger is situated inside which is a gem! Really nice merch as well and the servers are always attentive and very quick. Kudos to this place. read more

On 10/19/24 I witnessed the bar tender assault a patron and whip him with a towel on the back of the head to get his attention, when confronted he then asked to have the patron removed. We'll start with what's cool. Vibey, reasonably priced drinks, had the UFC fight. That's actually the only reason we came! I would have canned my own general manager over the staff and manager's etiquette on the spot. This was nonsense. We were a party of 3 there to watch the fights and have a few drinks. One of us walked out to take a quick phone call from her husband, and the doorman not only denied her entrance back inside not 5 mins later, he put his hands on her! Yo. My guy. The power trip be trippin with this one. "AT CAPACITY!!!!!!" Seriously? This is not an exclusive nightclub at fire capacity. This is a sports bar and we're just here visiting. I hit up Sebastian at the bar. Hey dude, can you please let our chick back inside to finish the current match on the TV and close out our tab and call an Uber? This is silly. This is nonsense. Nope. No can do. No chance. Sorry. Sir, you are in charge. We are full blown adults just trying to be cool patrons, have a drink, and tip your team. Thanks for having the UFC on. Went here during UT Austin Parents weekend with all the kids and their parents. What a blast this place is!!!! The drinks were perfect and the ambiance was fun and laid back with a huge screen to watch games outside. The service was on point and there is a little walk up window inside to get a NADC (Not A Damn Chance) burger which if you ask me is the best burger on the entire planet!!!! The bouncer told my albino friend that his ID was fake. He's literally 22, I grew up with him... The entire rest of our friend group had no issues getting in, just him. We are all of age. Honestly, I felt like they were discriminating against him for being albino. The staff should feel ashamed of themselves, I can't believe this happened in Austin. read more

We stumbled upon this place during our Pub Crawl. The music lured us in. They were playing the old school r&b and hip-hop. The bartenders are super friendly. We wanted vodka shots and said we were open to whatever is good. He made his own concoction and it was delicious. We saw that there was a sign for 75 cents wings AND cheesecake. One star so this is seen. Food, drinks, and ambiance are great. Tons of TVs and anything else you need. Unfortunately, the door guy was insistent on keeping the door stopped open when it was 38° outside. We asked him numerous times when there was no line to close the door as it was freezing the crowd inside. He just said no and to talk with the manager. He couldn't give a response better than "just cause" and threatened to kick out out if we pursued the issue. Like I said, great bar, but something needs to be done with the power hungry door guy. *Will change review to 5 stars if reconciliation is made. read more

Alabama vs Georgia game was on a few TVs and many people were watching. They changed the station in the 4th qtr to the Oregon game that was already on all the other TVs. My buddy tries, and the bartender snaps, "We're not changing the F-ing game!" then kicks him out. Meanwhile, two girls start fighting--one's eyebrow is bleeding, the other only emotionally damaged. It happens right in front of our table, which we're HUDDLED around, watching the game on a phone like cavemen. All 20 TVs are showing Oregon and a two-loss UCLA team. Forced to watch Pac-12 football... I'll never forgive this place. read more

This bar was right across our hotel and as my husband was intent on keeping me out and partying until after midnight for my birthday, this was one of our bar stops for the night. They've got decent drinks and live music and it's definitely a good place to hang out for a late night out. read more

Ah, the Bills Backers bar in Austin. My best friend and I stopped by twice while in town for some Labatt Blue's, pretty good wings, and really good NYC-style pizza. (Turns out the person who owns the in-house pizza business is from Brooklyn.) On a random weekday, it's relatively dead and it's easy to be in and out particularly for when you're on vacation. On a Sunday during football season, it's an entirely different story altogether. This place was packed, but the bar is expansive and the patio really big as well. On the particular Sunday we went, it was about 103 degrees outside and Aaron Williams was there so that may have added to the volume of people. Regardless, there was ample food and drink for all. Love this place and any time I'm back in Austin, I'll be there. Go Bills! Playoffs baby! read more

Parlor and Yard is quite a charming little bar. We went there to meet Austin Tour Co. to take a bus out to the Deep Eddy Vodka tasting room. When you walk in, you first notice they have AC that's pumping ice cold air. Thank god, because the bar has a indoor/outdoor vibe so it's very needed on typical hot and humid Austin days. The bartenders were some of the friendliest and accommodating that we met on our trip to Austin. They have new games and old games to play, as well as several televisions showing various sports games. I personally liked the ping pong table the best and my husband loved the Spider-Man pinball machine. The furniture is eclectic and feels like your hanging out in your friends garage. All in all, It was a great spot to have a couple drinks before getting even more drinks. read more

The fun part of the bar is the outdoor area where there are tables, an outdoor bar, TVs, & cornhole boards. That's the real fun part of this bar. The tables are usually reserved by large groups. I saw them order pizza, which seems to make sense because..... So about the pizza, Brooklyn Pie is affixed to the bar. They basically sell "New York" pizza here. The sell is the large slice, which translates to basically two slices of NY pizza. The price is $4.50, which I guess is okay knowing the price of NY pizza in New York. I actually didn't have it because I was just bar hopping, but it's just an observation. Shared space with a Brooklyn Pie Co. They offer a NY style pizza slice that comes really close but still feels like it's missing something. The size of the slice is HUGE but it's also very thin. Would recommend the rolling up strategy and eating it as such. Flavor feels like a more premium version of dollar pizza. read more
