Excellent service and very welcoming to all the employees are very compassionate and helpful and i am grateful for the opportunity to be a customer read more

The cashier is very low energy, snarky and not a people person to customers she doesn't know. They couldn't find my prescription and as I was waiting, I took a call from my sick child. She then passive aggressively talked about me being on the phone to another customer. I get how my being on the phone could be annoying, but talking badly about customers right in front of them is worse. She doesn't know the circumstances of her customers or their needs and just made assumptions. I was fuming, but I apologized on my part and she accepted it with a smirk. I will support another local pharmacy because I don't need to be berated by the staff, especially when I am feeling sick and crappy. read more

Parkway Pharmacy is clean, well-run, well-stocked and has a friendly staff. They do everything a pharmacy should do. I'm local to the area and prefer to support family run establishments (vs the CVS, Rite Aid or Duane Reade in the area) so I prefer to come here to get my scripts filled. They're always pleasant and they even call me when my script is ready. I'd highly recommend them. read more

I had a horrific experience here yesterday. I was suffering from a migraine and was in agonizing pain. I called them at 11:45 am to order migraine medicine. They told me that my delivery would arrive sometime between 1-2pm. At 1:45pm I called and they told me that their delivery person would be working at 2pm and then they would send it right over. I explained that this was urgent because I was in a lot of pain but could not go anywhere. I closed my eyes and waited. I dozed off a little and called again at 2:33 and they told me that the delivery person had already left. Since they are few short blocks away from me I thought they would arrive shortly. After fifteen minutes I called again and asked them what was taking so long? They explained that the driver had other deliveries. I asked them to please call the delivery person and ask them to please bring me my medicine, that I was in agonizing pain. Finally 3:30 I could not take it anymore, and walked to another pharmacy with a screaming migraine, trying not to throw up to get the medicine myself. I was able to call them to cancel the order. The order never came. My question is if you could call the delivery person to tell them the order was canceled why could you not have called the delivery person to tell them to bring my order over? You kept telling me to hang in there, knowing I was in agonizing pain. You kept lying to me and telling me that the medicine was coming when you KNEW it wasn't. You could have just admitted that it was not coming for hours but you did not do that. What you did was vicious and cruel. You KNEW I was in pain!!! I will never, ever set foot in your store again. Shame on you. read more

The type of small town pharmacy that used to be all over America but is now sadly an endangered species. A real pharmacist who will answer your questions. They accept all kinds of insurance, including Medicaid, which sadly many bigger pharmacies no longer do. The only problem is they are closed on Sundays. read more

A real neighborhood pharmacy. I just love the owners and all the staff. Please support one of the few non-corporate businesses in Kensington! read more

I used to shop at the CVS or Walgreens down the street, but I was turned off by how dirty and disorganized their stores are. Staff seems to be in a daze. Not making eye contact, or a friendly hello. More like droids. I never went into the Parkway Pharmacy because I didn't really notice it. The window displays are a bit old school, and you can't see in the store. I went in out of curiosity and boy, I was surprised. This place is CLEAN, ORGANIZED and well stocked! Their staff is friendly, down-to-earth and real people. Every time I go in there, I find what I need. The folks back in the pharmacy are in a hearty discussion. It reminds me of the pharmacy we had as a kid. The ones where people talk to you and care. Not the chain stores. I bought a deodorant from that was on sale. Unfortunately, it didn't get rung up as on sale and I didn't notice until I went home. I called and they apologized. I went back with my receipt and the manager apologized profusely and opened the till to give me the difference. I explained how much I liked the shop, much more than down the street. He offered to scan in the circular and email it to me (since they don't mail them). He also told me how they work with the regular customers to get them what they need - calling those that are ill, telling them what's on sale and delivering it to them. Wow! I go there first and love the place. Their greeting cards are uber cheap. I just wish they had Hallmark's and Shoe Box. Don't go to the chains down the street. Support the real people. Keep it old school. read more

This is the only pharmacy where you are not just a number. Its a real neigborhood business. Not a mega chain. They do deliveries . Help with insurance claims . Which is way above and beyond most pharmacies around here. Nice large bathroom is always clean. Staff is attentive and friendly. Great place .great service. Tgey have been around for a long time and they understand customer service. read more

I've gone to Parkway Pharmacy for years. Gene and Adam are fantastic pharmacists. Because this is a family owned local business, they get to know their customers. They have called doctors for me, worked out complications for me - they have always gone above and beyond to help me out. The other employees are also always positive and friendly to interact with. Now that I've moved to a different state, they still have been helpful to me over the phone! read more

Great pharmacy. Their prices are competitive with the chains, but you get better service. They deliver and I just called and asked if they could come outside to pick up a prescription so my son could sleep. Great toys too! read more

THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT!!! My mother and I would never leave them...Professional, Attentive and Friendly..GREAT SERVICE

In this world of big chain pharmacies and retail store pharmacies, it is a pleasure to have the local, old fashioned corner drug store to go to. At Parkway Pharmacy you are treated as a real customer/patient, not just a "number." The Pharmacists are very knowledgeable about all drugs and interactions, and are always willing to answer your questions to help relieve anxiety you may have. The store itself is fully stocked with everyday items to meet all of your needs. I highly recommend using them the next time you need a prescription filled. You will not be disappointed. read more

Great Pharmacy - I've going here for 15 years. It is one of the last family-owned businesses. Great service, surprisingly competitive prices. I hope they stay in business for the long haul! read more

It's a perfectly acceptable drugstore, though they are low on variety, but the major problem is that their hours are WAY insufficient. Closing at 7 pm on weekdays seems ridiculous in this neighborhood. read more

The staff at Parkway Pharmacy are the best around - the pharmacists know their stuff, they always try to get you your prescriptions as fast as they can. They are patient, go over side effects when asked, and are all around good guys. The store is very well stocked compared to the brand-name pharmacies nearby, and I almost always can get what I need same day. read more

There is a great commitment o service here. They do what is necessary to help you. For example, in my case, there was a problem with the insurance, and they advanced the drugs to me anyway, refusing to take a cash deposit. Gene is always on the phone working things out for his clients, and the woman at the register, is very responsive, and lovely as well. read more

I love this place. The service is like a real old fashioned pharmacy, where the druggist knows you. Everyone who works there is just absolutely wonderful to deal with. I never would have gone in to this place, but when my husband was dying of cancer, I went from pharmacy to pharmacy to try to find the medication he needed and none of the others would stock it. They were not able to give me the full prescription all at once, but were able to give me enough for a few days to get him through, while they ordered the rest. Since then, I have gone no where else. Plus, if you are really not feeling well and are not up to going out, they have delivery. (I love the delivery guy) Seriously, everyone is so helpful and patient and all seem to enjoy working together. They seem to respect each other and all of their customers of all ages and backgrounds. I hope that they are in business for at least the rest of my life, because I really don't want to go elsewhere read more

Not long ago, I had to stop in here to purchase some items because I have an FSA at work. I heard a young man (who I'm very certain is related to the owner of this establishment) utter a racial slur towards about a certain minority group as he spoke with one of the stores' personnel. I decided to exit. Having lived in Kensington since the 1980s, I must say the neighborhood has always been a melting pot. I like supporting local businesses in the nabe but quite frankly, I'll take my money elsewhere, even if it means supporting Rite Aid or Walgreens a few blocks away. read more

This place is amazing! After Walgreens decided to no long carry my insurance, I was in a bind to find a new pharmacy. I called Parkway the morning I found out, to see if I could transfer my prescriptions over. The pharmacist couldn't have been more helpful, he took my prescription information and my doctor's number and had everything transferred without me having to do anything. He also informed me about their free delivery service, which is a great bonus for me, because I have trouble walking. As soon as my prescriptions got transferred, he called and said my prescriptions were on the way, and they arrived minutes later. I couldn't be happier... I'm so glad I switched, and I wish I had done it earlier. I also really like the fact that I'm supporting a local business, as opposed to the big chain drug stores. I definitely recommend this pharmacy! read more

why go to cvs or walgreens when this place is around? they are honest and so helpful and even deliver your medicine if you can't get out to get it. what i love most about this small shop is even though it is small they have a little bit of everything in here. the staff is beyond helpful and if you ask them to stock something they most likely will do it for you. this store is the very best and the pharmacists are also the very best and never make you wait a ridiculous amount of time. read more
