There are some issues with this pharmacy that may not matter to some, but are problems for me. First, unless you order a prescription, you can't get a receipt with details. I submit my otc meds to my FSA so I need proof of what I purchased. They don't have receipt books or even a stamp with the pharmacy details. Second, as I explained why I needed a detailed receipt, a very angry woman yelled from behind the pharmacy counter that they have plenty of customers so it's not a problem for anyone else. Nice way to treat one of them. The nice young ladies at the register clearly looked mortified at this unnecessarily aggressive behavior. Will not get any more prescriptions from this place. In a pinch, they're ok but I hate rewarding bad behavior, so there's a much friendlier pharmacy on Fulton near Clinton Ave that I'll be using going forward. read more

Fine Care pharmacy is the worst place I have ever encountered. I have several serious issues that require timely RX. Chris, the pharmacist accused me of picking up a controlled substance two days earlier when the prescription was not even called in yet this thatI paid cash so he didn't have any record. I had a controlled substance that you have to take twice a day and could result in a seizure if you do not take it. One of the persons that was working on the floor told me " The nearest ER is Interfaith, or just go to the nearest emergency room to you if you have a seizure." A person working for a pharmacy said this stoically as I was leaving!!! The prescriber from Charles Evans Center stated he did not call the prescription in until the day after I supposedly picked it up. Be warned - pharmacy has started 'automatically refilling' prescriptions without customers consent. This is a useful service, however it should require the customers consent. If like me you are trying new medications I do not want prescriptions that have serious side effects automatically refilled. If you inadvertently leave the store with these unwanted medications they will refuse to take them and refuse to refund you. All of the online delivery website ask the customer if they want auto-refill, they do not assume it. Here they are assuming you will tell them you don't want it auto-filled - when you have no idea they will do this the first place. This is lacks any common sense. Nice idea, terrible execution. Just 'ask' customers if they want it auto-refilled instead of assuming - problem solved. Unfortunately, due to the refusal to give a refund for something I did not ask (I believe there are legal terms for that), I am going back to big business (CVS, Wallgreens etc where I can manage my prescriptions online and is cheaper too). Its a shame as I wanted my money to stay in the community :( but paying only for what I want/need has a priority, I'm not a charity. read more

Local lil pharmacy in Clinton Hill area. I originally started coming here because it was close to my apartment and accepted my insurance. They always pick up, pharmacy is clean and organized, and you're supporting local. I personally love the front desk pharmacist, Rose, who's been there for as long as most can remember but she may not be everyone's cup of tea. Just be respectful and she'll be the same to you. Rest of pharmacy and store staff is plenty sweet! Prices for everything else in the store are just a bit more than you might find at Walgreens but at least you're supporting local! Been going to this pharmacy for as long as I've been Clinton Hill (10 years) ALWAYS helpful and friendly. Came in today franticallY trying to use the remaining balance of my FSA, but wouldn't for whatever reason process, so the pharmacist (I forgot to get his name) taught me a work around and took the time out of a busy shop to write down all the items I bought to submit a claim. This is the real deal friendly neighborhood family pharmacy. After just a couple visits, the pharmacists at this small shop on the corner started greeting me by name when I came in. They're a nice group of people, but more important, they're fast at filling prescriptions and you get the feeling they actually want to help you. And they won't shout the name of a prescription you might want to keep private across the room if they have a question either. While the sundries offering isn't huge (it's a small store), there are a good handful of choices for each toiletry category. You won't be stuck with a foul-smelling stick of Secret that's been sitting on the shelf for three years. Besides the typical deodorant, hairspray, and soap, there's a selection of medical accessories (wrist braces, donut cushions, support hose...), a little bilingual greeting card rack, office supplies, and plenty of organic stuff too. read more

This is all-around a great neighborhood pharmacy. A few weeks ago I lost a battle with a shelf and had a mighty wound on my nose to show for it (you should see the other guy, etc). The only bandaid I could find at home was "skin-tone" fabric and the size of a stick of gum...not really what I want plastered across my face. Fine Care didn't have the exact tiny, inconspicuous bandaids that I wanted, but the woman who rang me up was very nice and did have the grace to laugh at my piteous attempt at a joke (see above). And while they don't stock every product in the whole world, they cover all the bases and I was able to pick up a few other things I'd been meaning to get. read more

Love that we have a family owned pharmacy in the neighborhood and hope that doesn't change any time soon! Small, efficient, friendly and really well-priced. So much more pleasant than going to some big, anonymous Duane Reade or Walgreens pharmacy (where inevitably they have to find someone napping in the back to come help you) and so much less hassle than waiting in line at Target. Staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate my annoying prescription needs (i.e. calling my out-of-state doctors, insurance and cvs to transfer things around for me, and with a smile and no eye-rolling at all). GREAT little pharmacy. They're super sweet and responsive, always greet you with a smile, pick up the phone on the first ring, and are really helpful with prescriptions. They'll call you when your stuff is ready, tell you in advance if something is going to be extra pricey, and they have hours that can work with a human schedule. They've even gone out of their way to work with me on getting me just a few days' worth of a prescription when I was between insurance companies and they didn't want me to have to pay for the whole thing out of pocket. Fine Care is the definition of what a neighborhood pharmacy should be. The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. They've helped me out in a jam by printing multiple documents I needed to begin a new job (thanks Jose!). They have a great selection of products at reasonable prices, including the natural ones I usually buy at Whole Foods. Though I've moved away from the immediate neighborhood I will continue to use Fine Care for prescriptions and products as much as I can. I can't tell you how much I love this place, there are simply not enough words. Always easy to fill my prescriptions, the one offs and the recurring ones. You can easily email them to have stuff refilled and it's never a hassle. Recently I had to have a prescription pre-certified by my insurance and the Pharmacist called me (today, Monday), told me they found a coupon from the drug company to fill it right away and that they would follow up with the doctor's to get the ongoing prescription covered with a prior authorization. This was after I went in Friday to originally get it filled. How awesome is that follow up? To add, they have a wide range of stuff for sale and often it's much cheaper than what I've found for sale elsewhere. read more
