The pharmacy here is the absolute worst. They will call you to pick up a refill and when you get there it isn't even ready. My doctor submitted a prescription at 4:15pm on 3/2, they stay open until 9pm and it still wasn't ready. I'm waiting for them to open up at 9am to see how much longer. read more

These idiots told me my insurance had stopped covering the COVID vaccine, and I would have to pay $200+ out of pocket for it. I left and went to another Walgreens. At the second location, I was told that this store had already charged my insurance for the vaccine despite not administering it AND claiming my insurance didn't cover it?. They also couldn't understand why this location was confused about my coverage since it was clearly active. I thought the issue was Walgreens in general. It turns out it was just this location. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this pharmacy is consistently bad. Just very, very slow. I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or competency issue, but they just don't seem to have a good workflow or systems in place to be efficient with their time. They are open until 10 pm, which is good. That's when I use them - when I need something after 6 pm and my independent pharmacist is already closed. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVERR. Every time i go its a problem. I went to pick up my prescription, they gave me half stating that it will be in the next day. I came in the next day, they said they haven't unboxed it yet. I came on the third day now they said that my insurance won't cover it because days has passed. I could see why they're always getting cursed outt. I called my insurance to let them know the situation. My insurance then contacted them; first they lied stating my entire prescription was filled. After proving i did not get the entire prescription my insurance called again but they got hung up on 4 times. Finally, we got someone to tell the truth.... the Walgreens pharmacist entered the wrong information on the claim and it was irreversible. Leaving me with the only option of waiting 30 days for a prescription refill. Walgreens got people life on the line and they don't care. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only, and I share the frustration other yelpers had with this pharmacy. We came here to vaccinate our son because the Walgreens website gave us an appointment at this location. In fact, we couldn't get an appointment at the location where my wife and I got our vaccine because they didn't have an age-appropriate vaccine there, but instead we were redirected at this location. Please note that, when booking an appointment online, you have to enter the DOB, so there is no doubt that Walgreens knew my son's age, and in fact the website gave us an appointment at this location specifically. Moreover, when my wife and I got our shot at the other location, we specifically asked about this and were told that the Walgreens website selects a specific location based on vaccine availability based on the patient's age. Keep in mind that booking an appointment is not that easy, as slots fill very quickly. Unless you don't have a full-time job or are willing to travel 50+ miles, you basically have to stalk the calendar on the Walgreens website. We got to our appointment on time, and I started waiting in front of the vaccine window. No one else was there, but I waited for a good 30 minutes as no Walgreens employee was working at that window. When my wife got at the front of the customers line, she pointed that out and eventually an employee came over. After taking my insurance info, I was then told that they didn't have the vaccine for my son, as Walgreens doesn't have it for kids his age. I mentioned that I booked the appointment through their Website, and I entered my son's DOB, and asked how this was possible, I was told that this is an issue with corporate and they, as a pharmacy can't do anything about it. Why do they have a sign that says that the vaccine is available for kids 3 and older, then? Whose fault is that? Corporate again? In short: if you like wasting your time to book an appointment on-line, and then waste your time in line at the pharmacy to then be told that the information they gave you was, in fact, wrong, you'll love this pharmacy. But if you care about your health and that of your family, this pharmacy cannot be trusted. read more

I am only giving it one star because zero isn't an option. In over a year - while my insurance copays are less at Walgreens, the pharmacy's staff is so shockingly rude it blows my mind. 4/5 times, I ask a question they respond "I don't know" "don't ask me" "don't ask why." And at the moment I am publishing this it's been 20 minutes and I am picking up a prescription that was already filled but "they can't find it." read more

I can't disagree with the other reviews left on this page - the customer service experience is awful, and going to the pharmacy is often frustrating. However, I can tell whenever I'm visiting this store that both the store cashier staff and the pharmacy staff are VERY understaffed and VERY overworked. It's also clear to me that the problems we encounter as customers are often things that are out of the store staff's control. Having only two staff members up front, especially when considering that one of them has to run around the store to unlock the store shelves for 80% of purchases, makes it really difficult to deliver proper customer service and get people through the line quickly. That is a failure of management higher up in the company who clearly don't care about anything other than squeezing the most profit out of everybody. Pharmacy techs and pharmacists often don't really know why insurance isn't going through for a prescription, or why a medicine is out stock. They're locked into using computer systems that seem impossible to navigate correctly and gives inconsistent or untrue information all the time. I know that this is also a failure of the company's upper management, and also of the American healthcare system more broadly. I think the store staff are doing the best they can, but I can't deny that all of us in the store are having a terrible experience on both sides of the cash register. read more

Quite possibly the worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my life. my doctor sent over medication that needed to be started within the first few days of illness and they did not fill it. i called and was told about an hour. the script was never filled. i arrived to the pharmacy to check up on it the next day and waited 50 minutes in line. then I was told to wait another 30 minutes for the medication to be filled and was still not filled in time. I received a parking ticket. because I couldnt envision waiting 2 hours for a script suppsoedly filled yesterday. Go to any other pharmacy if you can. read more

Where it's neatly tucked away IN Fulton St. makes this Wallgreens easy to pass over. I found it on one of my many walking haunts. Question: Is WG a sister store of Duane Reade or at least a distance cousin? I'm allowed to use same reward card at either store so I'm assuming yes and thinking WG is definitely the poorer side of the family. Despite having the required license and medication to be suitably labeled pharmacy, other than a few household products, toys, personal items and greeting cards it's really more of a 7-11 type of shop to me. Especially this branch. I always stop in and get my snack fix whenever I'm walking by. Service has always been consistent......just okay. They have a really youthful looking staff. I called to follow up on a call regarding my medication. Spoke to a very rude Middle Eastern man who was not able to find the reason the Pharmacy would call me. The error was I have my home number forwarded to my cell. I forgot. Once we got that fixed. He preceded to lecture me the sick patient on the phone. He stated I needed not to waste his time giving the incorrect number. All he had to do was ask my DOB then he would have gotten all my info. My experience with this pharmacy was just awful. My boyfriend showed up with a prescription for a nebulizer, mind you...not the medication! just the machine, that my doctor hand wrote me for my asthma attack and they refused to fill it because the prescription must be sent electronically. The pharmacy is particularly difficult to deal with. I've waited for 30 minutes on the phone to inquire about my prescriptions only to be hung up on. The pharmacy has a long standing lunch break, but is often randomly closed at other times. This pharmacy has wasted my time and my money. It is so frustrating. One bit of feedback here. The pharmacy line gets a lot of complaints for slowness and disorganization. I went in today knowing that and prepaid for my prescription, which allows you to do an express pickup, skipping the line. The problem was that they weren't using a dedicated express pickup line, so I effectively cut the line of half a dozen people waiting to pay. Then another person, the only other young, white man in the line, realized this and did the same thing. It was frankly embarrassing for everyone and created an impression that we were getting some kind of special status. The corporation needs to do better education of this option, and the store needs to treat the two lines (prepaid, express pickup and normal pay) as separate. read more

This is the first and likely only Yelp review I'll give but take heed of the other reviews... do not come here! Currently waiting 45 min for a flu shot (I had an appointment, for what?) and the pharmacy line is long and growing exceedingly hostile. I get it! You can barely hear names called because people are yelling so much. I'd just say... hire more staff! The line is beautifully curling down multiple aisles, mingling with the shampoo, Ensure, extra toasty Cheez-It's. I would just bail but it's been too long! I have a meeting in 2 hours and I'm honestly not convinced I'll make it home in time (I'm a ten minute walk). I wish I had a chair or a book or a small studio apartment inside this Walgreen's so that I could go about my business while I wait. Needless to say I will never come here again... Only one or two associates here actually gives you somewhat professional and courteous service. It's clearly not a requirement in this location. Nevertheless, they are always well stocked. I've never had issues with Walgreens until I started going to this location, which is one of the only pharmacies in the area. The pharmacy is extremely understaffed which means there's always at least a 20-minute wait to pick up an already-filled prescription, no matter the time of day, and I've waited as long as 45 minutes on a weekday. It sometimes takes days for them to fill prescriptions that have been called in by doctors. And it seems the staff here rarely pick up the phone so it's nearly impossible to get through to a human to inquire about prescription status or transfer prescriptions to another pharmacy. Often, after waiting on hold for 30+ minutes, they'll hang up when I'm the next person in the queue (and the same thing has happened to my prescriber.) If you have the ability to avoid this location, do so. If not, prepare yourself for long wait times in person and by phone. read more

On a crisp spring day the sun's wings spread over our dormant city. Mother Nature's smell burst through the air preparing to heal us from another scentless winter. I looked out my window and contemplated. Maybe I no longer needed my meds, I thought. But I had a prescription to pick up and a 30 minute walk to my Walgreens was a nice way to buy the day's tick tock. I approached the counter without my usual awkwardness. This is the last time we'll meet like this, I tell the pharmacist. I'm happy now, flashing her a smile to prove this newly minted, born again, naturally joyful me. She hands me my last batch of freshly baked capsules. They're the same bright light blue as they always are. Like the color of a cheery blue sky or blueberry Fun Dip. I left the conveniently located back corner drug section, but before exiting the store I double backed for the candy aisle. 2-for-$3 sour patch kids felt like an ideal accompaniment for the walk home. When I went to checkout I noticed four vacant counters. Where were the usual employees? An attendant approached me and waved her hands towards a new section of six shiny robotic self-checkouts. I presume the once "essential" workers got laid off for this new collection of faceless machines. It took me five minutes to deal with my monotone computer and I wasn't allowed to leave without a plastic bag.  It was a parting gift from capitalism's death grip on society and the environment. Clouds started forming over the city and my once pleasant day switched shades to the bleaker side of spring. My sour patch kids now seemed like an over indulgence. After going back and forth with my doctor for truly hours, this pharmacy told me that they legally cannot change the prescription and my doctor must have sent the wrong one. Turns out they DID change it and gave me the wrong medication. That seems...bad They also told me my insurance doesn't cover it without...asking for my insurance card. read more
