If Park Place Pharmacy were a person, they'd be that friend who always picks up your call on the first ring. No automated phone menus, no holding music that makes you question your life choices--just straight through to a real, live pharmacist. Walgreens could never! The best part? It's never too hectic in here. I've never had to deal with lines snaking around the store or that dreaded pharmacy wait time. Refills are a breeze too--no more "check back in 30 minutes" while you awkwardly browse. The only hiccup? They didn't take my FSA card for my prescription, which was a little disappointing. So, I'll just have to go the reimbursement route instead--no biggie, just something to keep in mind! while you're here, you can browse their fun assortment of skincare products, lotions, drinks, and even some children's toys. with their quick service and friendly staff, Park Place Pharmacy has earned a permanent spot on my go-to list. Came to pick up my prescription today at Park Place Pharmacy. The staff in the store was so nice, willing to answer all my questions and help me locate some over the counter items I needed. While waiting for my prescription I was browsing the toy selection which is awesome. I was able to get my niece some cool and unique presents for her upcoming birthday. Pharmacist with terrible, DISHONEST attitude. I used to frequent this pharmacy since it was conveniently located near my child's school, but I had to stop being a customer after having a very negative experience with the pharmacist Myra. She was rude, abrasive, and outright lied to me. Their products are also old, some are expired, and certain items are marked up 100% compared to other retailers. With so many other local, small pharmacies in the area, I am happy to become a customer elsewhere where customers are treated decently and prices are reasonable. read more

Started going here when I got sick of standing on an extremely long line at the Duane Reade across the street on Flatbush every time I wanted to pick up a prescription on the weekend. Always had a good customer service experience here. Then they did something that went so far and beyond that I will be a customer for life! I was in my early pregnancy and my doctor at 4pm on a Friday called me and told me I needed to start taking a somewhat esoteric medication to help maintain the pregnancy. This obviously was an urgent situation and it needed to be resolved before the doctor's office closed within an hour or so. Park Place didn't have the medication but the pharmacist called around to neighboring pharmacies to find one that did have it and coordinated the prescription to be called in there. Everything wound up totally fine with the baby and I was SO eternally grateful for their help! Never would have gotten that type of service at Duane Reade. read more

I LOVE Park Place Pharmacy! It feels really good to step into such a welcoming and friendly place. It's important to me to patronize Mom & Pop, as opposed to Big Box, stores. The pharmacy operates in a well-organized and efficient manner. Most of my meds are ready for me the day after I call, if not sooner. The non-pharmacist staff are cordial and helpful. The pharmacists are professional, knowledgeable, and caring, and Myra (whom I usually work with) is always happy to contact my physicians for medication renewals. They have always been willing to order an OTC item that I don't see on the shelves. Myra makes helpful suggestions, and freely shares information/resources that could benefit me. If she runs into a problem with the delivery of my meds, or encounters an issue that she feels I would want to know about, she does not hesitate to call me. They carry a wonderful and unusual array of non-prescription products (some from other countries), such as charming toys, scented lip balm from Spain in delightful tins, and homeopathic items. I highly recommend Park Place Pharmacy. In addition to the reasons above, they have a great location, a pleasing environment, and staff who communicate well with each other! read more

As a physician, I deal with multiple pharmacies daily. This place is the least professional, most difficult to use. The staff is rude and negligent. I've had to send the same simple antibiotic request 3 times only to be told they will not fill the script. This is uncommon behavior even from the most understaffed locations I've dealt with. This is my go to pharmacy. They are always very communicative, and they always fill my prescriptions quickly, sometimes within the hour it gets sent from the doc or hospital. If they have a question they always call me or the doc, and if they don't have a specific medication, which is rare, they either call around to find it or let me know exactly when they will receive it and then they call me to let me know it's in. This is the kind of service I can't expect from big chain pharmacies. It also has a curated selection of other pharmacy products that are organic or specialty that you can't find at a chain. My baby had croup. I took him to doctor and doctor gave a Rx without calling it into CVS. I went to CVS with paper Rx and, and after waiting with a sick baby for 30 minutes, I was told they couldn't fill it because doctor didn't call it in. They refused to call Doctor's office. So I left. As I walked out - it started storming outside. My baby was crying and couldn't catch his breath. I went to Park Place pharmacy across the street. I gave them the Rx. They called the doctor's office to fix the problem. They filled the Rx. They were courteous and professional throughout. Made me think about how terrible chain pharmacies are-- the people who work there are not invested in your business and don't care. Love Park Place-- the way it should be! read more

I have always been very happy with Park Place, treated me respectfully and never questioned my needs. You see, I am100% disabled and so my spouse always acts as my care giver. I take pain medication which honestly makes life worth living. That is until we had the misfortune of dealing with NATALIE. I am 75 years old, probably have a short time to live. Every 30 days my spouse picks up my medication, and I struggle with pain (with some relief from meds). However, Natalie pronounced herself GOD and decided I could not have my pain meds after 30 days. I might mention that I have never given anyone at Park Place a difficult time. I have never asked for my refills early, I have never asked for extra medication. I have always stuck to their rules, although my insurance carrier has told me I am eligible to get meds after 28 days. But I wait 30, very politely. But now, Natalie thinks I should not get my meds, and HEY!, so what if this gentle grandma suffers with bone cancer. Natalie feels powerful! She actually left my 80 year old spouse "on hold" for 15 minutes, while she amused herself, I guess? She told us she wants to discuss "MY PROTOCOL" with my doctor. I called my doctor, and he said, no way will I discuss your private info with this person! I know I have rambled here, but I must say my spouse and I have been treated so rudely by someone for NO reason. I only can hope that some day (when she is older and ill), Natalie sees what it is like to be treated so unkindly. You know a little compassion goes a long way. I hope all you nice people out there don't ever have to deal with Natalie. Thank You. read more

Deserves ZERO stars. So, I walk into this place this morning. There are NO other customers in the store. I tell the woman behind the counter that I would like to switch my prescriptions to Park Place Pharmacy. I then show her my insurance card and ask if they take the insurance. She tells me that she has no idea, that she is too busy to find out, and that I should call my insurance company or just go to Duane Reade across the street. Again, NOBODY else is in the place. I really want to support local businesses. But, this one should just shut down and let somebody who actually cares about people and customers use the place. read more

Great neighborhood pharmacy!! They're located near one of my doctors, so I fill most of my Rx's here. They're quick and helpful, every employee has been friendly, and I've barely had to wait for anything. They stock a fair amount of supplies that you'd look for in any pharmacy - they use their small space well. The store is always spotless, and they even have coffee in the morning. The hours are reasonable for such a small staff -- they're open until 9 during the week. The location is really convenient, too, being right next to the 7 Av Q/B station. If you live or work in the neighborhood, I recommend giving them a try -- I always used a nationwide chain drug store before coming here -- they will remind you what good customer service can be like at a pharmacy. read more

An actual pharmacy with actual pharmacists who try to help you. They explain the differences between a Health Insurance card and a Prescription card (did you know you could pay a bunch for health insurance and not have your prescriptions covered? USA! USA! Not Park Place Pharmacy's fault, but goodness gracious!). Park Place Pharmacy is where I'd choose to go if my awful, inhumane, so-called "Health" insurance covered prescription medications. Then again, if I were a Real American™ I wouldn't need medications. Again, not Park Place Pharmacy's fault. They've been wonderful. read more

I have been patronizing this pharmacy since it opened. Never before have I received such excellent and professional service consistently in a pharmacy. Every single employee there is friendly, helpful, courteous and sincere. They will go out of their way to accommodate you, if needed. My refills are always done in a timely manner. They offer competitive prices on many items they sell. It is a small pharmacy, however they have a nice variety of many different items. The owner/head pharmacist used to work across street at Duane Reade. Then she opened her own place. I prefer a small place over big box any day. You will be so happy you switched to this place. I do not give compliments easily. These people deserve every star I gave them. They run a pharmacy the way you always wished they all ran like! Check them out. Agree with all of the other reviews - this is my absolute favorite pharmacy. They have unique & interesting little products, everything from to a nice assortment of facial products and lip balms to a few kids' toys. The store is very thoughtfully laid out and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I am so happy to have a such a great pharmacy in the neighborhood. It is a small space but it is so well organized, clean and stocked. They have so many great things in there and I have even gotten great last minute gifts, including candles and lotions. They also have a toy selection. I fill all of my prescriptions here and sometimes I tell them I'll come back to pick them up (as that is how it is in all the other pharmacies with long waits) but they always have it ready in 5 minutes or less. When they don't carry a prescription I need they can usually get it the next day. I want to keep it my little secret, but I want them to continue to succeed so I do hope more people discover how great they are. All the staff has been friendly and helpful. read more

This place is a treat! I stopped by recently to pick up a random pharmacy item and wound up finding so much more. They have some really nice bath, home, and beauty products, including some great upscale and organic products as well as your more run of the mill. This is a great little pharmacy. I get all of my prescriptions filled here even though it's not the closest option. They were incredibly helpful recently when I needed a refill for vacation before my insurance would usually cover it, and that really saved me. Hey my name is Renee and Parkplace Pharmercy is the best Mom and Pop place I've seen in a long time that alone makes for wanting to go there and I'm from Staten Island , Between the Pharmarcist and the crew that works there you feel right at home and your in and out in no time and wait till you see the selection of toys they have for the kids !!!!! I have used this pharmacy exclusively since they opened. It reminds me of the quaint pharmacies in France. Lovely service and if you have to wait, many attractive toiletries to tempt you. I have also found that their prices for prescription drugs can be as much as 10 percent cheaper than the chains. Not all - but more than once I have been greatly surprised by the difference. This is important to me because I have a big deductible and pay out-of-pocket for most RXs. A real asset to the neighborhood and they won't say "next guest" when it is your turn at the counter! read more
