Unfortunately they retired back in the summer of 2024. I have found another optometrist in Winthrop.

During the booking process, I completed all necessary paperwork, including submitting images of both my medical and vision insurance cards. Vision North lists United as an in-network provider on their website. After scheduling, I received multiple texts emphasizing their strict 24-hour cancellation policy and warning that unconfirmed appointments would be canceled. I confirmed my appointment several times. Then, on the morning of my appointment, I received a text at 7:23 AM informing me that my appointment had been canceled because Dr. Miller was unavailable--just three hours before I was supposed to be seen. Given their rigid policies, this was frustrating. At 8:13 AM, I received a call from the office offering me a later appointment at 11:00 AM with a different doctor. I rearranged my work schedule again to accommodate. Upon arrival, I checked in and was asked to wait. Shortly after, I was informed that my insurance was actually out of network and that I would be responsible for the full cost of the visit. At this point, it was clear that this office is completely disorganized and unprofessional so I left. In a city like Boston--home to some of the best healthcare in the world--this level of incompetence is inexcusable. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Vision North.

They also have contact lenses & a solid amount of sunglasses options that seem like popular choices, though I have not purchased any. My favorite frames to get, include: Esme, Durand, Zoya, Vela, & Chamberlain! The tortoise pattern frames are beautiful from here. Frames start at $95 and they offer single-vision, progressives, readers, & non-prescription. Add-ons include blue light anti-reflective , light responsive, classic polycarbonate lenses, & thinner 1.67 high index lenses. Favorite Warby location to go to!

However, when I went in, I was told they only service Warby Parker and they insisted they only have supplies for their brand's parts (are their screws special or something?). If I wasn't given false hope about possibly of fixing glasses that aren't under their brand via phone customer service, I wouldn't have come in the first place. But the front desk people were so irritable/moody about the fact that I was given a different answer over the phone.

Or actually for the fortune patrons who solicite this establishment. I came in to get a pair of non gas station sunglasses that didn't disintegrate after two uses. Literally I've had glasses spew screws and fall off my face while driving and infinitely more tragically while watching the third and final Hobbit installment in theaters. (Rest in peace Kili, your sacrifice will not be forgotten!!) Anyway the point is I obviously don't like spending a lot of money on my eyewear. However the styles and service at this place had me willing and ready to change my ways and risk it all. The result?! Got some slick behind sunglasses and can't nobody tell me nothing. And these bad boys gone stay on my face, whether I'm scooting down 90 head bopping to Michelle Branch or getting misty eyed over Annie Lennox's Into the west as I salivate over a literary masterpiece. I suggest you get over here and get on my level.

I took them back to a different store (seaport) where they advised me that the lens were too large and knew exactly the issues I was having with the near vision. I am writing this to alert those with progressives that you may want to ASK about the lens size as I wasn't given this advice by the associate and optitrician at the Newbury store and ended up with a frame that wasn't good for progressive lens wearers.

I have seen her 2 years in a row now. As for their eyewear, yes, they are expensive because they sell luxury eyewear. The assistant manager (Stacy) spent a lot of time finding the right pair of glasses that looked good on me and fit me well. She never made me feel pressured and was patient with me while I visited other stores before making my final decision. In addition, I had brought a pair of progressive glasses that I bought 6 months ago from For Eyes that I never had liked because I couldn't see well through them. Stacy immediately determined that the lenses weren't properly fitted and she fixed them for me! I am so glad that I used Lunette for my recent progressives. Not only did I get beautiful Chanel frames, the lenses are far superior than the lenses in my older 2 glasses. Significantly better! I will definitely continue using Lunette for my exams and eyewear!
