    If I could give zero stars, I would…read more I booked an appointment with Dr. Mallory Miller on March 13th for April 1st at 10:30 AM. During the booking process, I completed all necessary paperwork, including submitting images of both my medical and vision insurance cards. Vision North lists United as an in-network provider on their website. After scheduling, I received multiple texts emphasizing their strict 24-hour cancellation policy and warning that unconfirmed appointments would be canceled. I confirmed my appointment several times. Then, on the morning of my appointment, I received a text at 7:23 AM informing me that my appointment had been canceled because Dr. Miller was unavailable--just three hours before I was supposed to be seen. Given their rigid policies, this was frustrating. At 8:13 AM, I received a call from the office offering me a later appointment at 11:00 AM with a different doctor. I rearranged my work schedule again to accommodate. Upon arrival, I checked in and was asked to wait. Shortly after, I was informed that my insurance was actually out of network and that I would be responsible for the full cost of the visit. At this point, it was clear that this office is completely disorganized and unprofessional so I left. In a city like Boston--home to some of the best healthcare in the world--this level of incompetence is inexcusable. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Vision North.

    What can I say about Optica Brasil?…read more My Brasillian friends have been raving about this place for months, and after getting totally milked over by one of those mall optical shops, I decided to give them a try when it was time to get new glasses. I called to make an appointment so I could have my eyes checked, and they were so gracious on the telephone. I even got an appointment for the next day. When I went into the shop, it was so clean and tidy, and I didn't get a feeling of being rushed, unlike that mall shop. The doctor was really nice, and spend a ton of time trying making sure i had the right prescription. (I have an astigmatism so it can be tricky to get the settings just right). Ordering new glasses was a breeze. Optica Brasil has a wide selection of different styles and frames, all from different manufacturers! Plus many good looking frames were AFFORDABLE. I actually saved enough money that I was able to buy a pair of prescription sunglasses too! Carolina made the entire process so easy, and she was so friendly and personable. She definitely made me want to come back! And I definitely will. I highly recommend Optica Brasil to EVERYONE who wears glasses, you won't be disappointed. --- Side Note: About 3 weeks after I got my new glasses, I accidentally bent the frame, I went back to the shop to see if they could be repaired. Not a problem. Carolina took them into the back and.. well.. I don't know what she did, but she came out with repaired glasses. Excellent!!!

I…read morework on Newbury Street so I went to a couple of places close to me but then I went back to Optica Brasil in Everett. I can honestly say that I walked out of there knowing that I had gotten the best service and the best pair of glasses for me. Julie and Carolina know what they are talking about and took the time to educate me about what I was getting and why I should get it. Fantastic through and through....selection, service and prices. I highly recommend them to everyone.
