I highly recommend Pro Optical. The office was very clean, staff very friendly, and you can book online! Dr. Duane Smith was very friendly, and you never felt like he was on the clock. I would definitely recommend Pro Optical and Dr. Smith. read more

I followed Dr. Smith from his practice in Cambridge to his new location here at Pro Optical. He's a great guy, and cares not just about my eyes but about my health overall. He does an excellent job explaining how eye health affects the rest of your body, and he's always sure to make sure I understand in layman's terms what he's saying. The staff is friendly and courteous as well, and they've been efficient both times I saw them. I would highly recommend Pro Optical, but I rave of Dr. Smith. read more

I also followed Dr. Smith from his LensCrafters location to here. He's an amazing eye doctor, very scientific but also has a GREAT bedside manner. Your parking is validated so if you park in the lot under their building it's FREE (90 minutes or less). You can book an appointment ONLINE with ZocDoc.com, which is AMAZING. And at the end of my appointment they asked if I'd like to buy new contact lenses, and I said yes. They looked at my insurance plan and gave me one total amount to pay for a year's supply of 2-week contact lenses, plus the eye exam. They took care of all the insurance paperwork. I gave them one check and got contact lenses delivered *straight* to my house. read more

My doctor who I usually see us Bao-Kim Nguyen. She is caring, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. The fact that the office validates for 90 minutes in the Whole Foods parking lot is very convenient as well. I've been visiting this office for several years and wouldn't consider changing. The only time I had an issue was when I went to get my eyes measured so I could order glasses from Warby Parker. The woman who happened to be working there that night was extremely rude about it and almost wouldn't help me. Fortunately I haven't seen her since. read more

I love Dr. Kublin and Pro-Optical. The office is very convenient to me and the staff and doctors are all very pleasant and approachable. I feel they take the extra steps to make sure my experience is good. They have all the high end testing gear including imaging to monitor eye health. It was tremendously easy to make my appointment and they were happy to change it when my schedule changed. Their selection is very good they have plenty of high-end and more affordable frames, including sunglasses. read more

ProOptical is a wonderful optometry office that I would definitely reccomend. It is very easy to schedule an appointment there, Dr. Nguyen and the staff are always very thorough and informative. I have been going there for 3 years and have always been happy with my experience. I would say the only drawback would be that the glasses selection leaves something to be desired. They do have many high end brands to choose from, but if you're looking for a sleek, modern, or kitchy style, you might want to try another place. read more

I adored seeing Dr. Smith. (This was my first appointment with him.) He was very thorough and approachable but also gentle in his explanation of my vision issues/ and Rx. I would recommend him to anyone seeking care. I have already raved to my boyfriend (who is overdue for an eye appointment) about how impressed I was with his attention and "bedside manner." The young lady that checked me in and did my pre-screening was also lovely. I can't thank you guys enough for making my appointment a pleasure instead of a chore. Kudos! I didn't purchase glasses at this time - but I noted that they have a really wide selection of frames and take a variety of insurance providers. read more

I had an appointment with Bao-Kim Nguyen here and she was awesome. Very friendly, professional and patiently helped me understand my diagnosis and options for eye care and wear. Don't waste your time at the glasses counter. The staff there are too important to help you or care. Get your lenses and frames somewhere else. read more

Went there a few months backs for a yearly check up and was seen by a different eye Dr. Dr. Bao-Kim. Very friendly, wicked smart and knowledgeable and the exam went by quick. I wanted to order 2 new pairs of glasses. Went to the glasses area and asked the lady who was working there exactly the kind of glasses i wanted. I wanted glasses with bigger lenses and with style. She recommended Persol. Since I don't keep up with eye fashion i assume they must be nice they were pricey but they fit my description to a T. Wearing them for two months now and boy these glasses feel so comfortable on my head since I wear glasses every day. Will keep coming back read more

I recently had my first visit to Pro Optical and Dr. Kublin. I would give Dr. Kublin and the examination five stars, however I would give the frame selection process and staff two stars. If you're the type of person that is content with making an arbitrary frame purchase decision based on what is on the shelf, you should be fine. If you're the type of person that likes to look at many options, compare, and make the best informed decision possible, then I recommend you go elsewhere or purchase online. Specifically, there were a few huge-name brands I was interested in learning more about. While Pro Optical carried these brands, the office had no product literature (paper or electronic) to peruse the brands' product offerings. The only option was to look at the few examples they had on their shelves. They did not have a way to adequately browse options online, nor were they even aware you could go to the manufacturers' websites to look at their products. I ended up going elsewhere, immediately had the ability to survey all the options for the brands of interest, and made an informed purchase that I am very happy with. read more

Dr. Duane Smith was excellent. I would not hesitate to return to Pro Optical for my eye needs. I never had an optometrist seem to care so much about the well being of a patient and explain any procedures so thoroughly. I was very comfortable. Keep on being awesome! Bonus: convenient location and professional staff. read more

I've been going to see Dr. Kublin for 12 years. I would never consider going anywhere else. The service is excellent and the doctors are great. Plus, they use the latest technology so I don't have to get my eyes dilated. They have a good mix of high-end and affordable frames and are willing to work with you to pick them, no matter what your budget is. They also validate parking up to 90 minutes so it costs me nothing extra to continue to go to Dr. Kublin, even though I no longer live in the city. read more

I didn't see Dr. Kublin but as far as the office goes... Convenience of booking the appointment is awesome - I used ZocDoc. It even gives you the first time patient paperwork so you don't have to deal with it in the office. Dr. Nguyen was extremely kind and professional. My appoinment was at 12:30, arrived at read more

Carla rocks. Clone her. And you would have a difficult time finding another optometrist as technically proficient as Dr. Ngyuen as well as KIND. read more

Great service! I was very pleased. They have very friendly staff and I really enjoyed being seen by Dr. Bao-Kim Nguyen. She really took the time to talk to me and listen to my vision concerns. I didn't feel like I was just another patient. They also have a great selection of brands. I wanted a specific style of Ray Bans for my prescription glasses, and I was able to give them the style number and what color I wanted and they ordered it for me. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith's for years. I just saw him for the first time at this location earlier this week. Dr. Smith has always been 5 stars in my book but now he is at a location where the whole experience is 5 stars from start to finish. Making my appointment easy and painless, and then they tell me my insurance should cover my exam - amazing. Everyone was nice, professional and friendly from start to finish. I work in a building with lots and lots and lots of eye doctors but I do and will continue recomending this practice. read more

Very convenient location to MGH and knowledgeable, professional staff kept me going back for the last few years. They do a thorough exam and all questions are answered. You can use ZocDoc.com to book appointments and to fill out your health forms... very convenient. They also have a nice selection of frames. I've gone rimless and started using contact lenses thanks to them! I've seen both Dr. Kublin and Dr. Smith and both were very friendly and professional. read more

I love Dr. Kublin and the staff at ProOptical. They were recommended to me by a coworker when I worked at MGH, and even though I don't work in the area anymore, it's still worth my time to get to ProOptical. Lots of great options for appointment times. Great work in terms of finding great deals in contact lens savings and also fabulous work with updating my glasses. I love this office! read more

Always friendly. Easy to make an appointment on-line, never a wait for an appointment. Great care!!

I would give ProOptical 5 stars - the office is very clean and efficient, and Dr. Jost is the best - I can't imagine seeing anyone else. She always listens to you, takes the time that needs to be taken for each patient, explains things thoroughly, and is very non-judgmental. In addition, online booking and validated parking make the entire process pretty hassle-free. read more

Excellent customer service and wide selection of stylish glasses!

Dr. Kublin and his staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to use both my vision insurance and my medical insurance to cover almost all of my costs, and they didn't try to upsell me on anything. In fact, Dr. Kublin was quick to point out that I didn't need new contacts, and that I could probably get by with my existing eyeglass prescription. The staff was very helpful in finding frames that fit my face. Booking online through ZocDoc was easy, and offering the opportunity to fill out forms online ahead of time is a huge time-saver. I'll definitely be back. read more

There's not enough stars to rate this practice, I have been Dr. DePaolo Jost's patient for the past two years and I look forward to every appointment. The staff is friendly, professional and shows a genuine appreciation and concern for their patients. The eyeglass selection is outstanding; the opticians are knowledgeable and have a keen sense of what looks good on their clients. I've worked with Danielle and Harry, both have worked to ensure my satisfaction, if you're considering this practice I'm confident you will be pleased. read more

I had a outstanding experience at Pro Optical! I was able to instantly make an appointment online, which eliminates the hassle of needing to call the office during business hours. When I did call to see if an earlier appointment was available, they were friendly and able to accommodate me. I was very impressed with the beautiful office space and the helpfulness of the front desk staff. The highlight was definitely Dr. Bao-Kim Nguyen! She is the perfect balance of friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to fully understand my concerns, and answer my questions. I will definitely be returning to Pro Optical! read more

Cheryl DePaolo Jost is my optometrist and has been for several years. She is a fabulous clinician and I would highly recommend her. The entire office is wonderful. Staff are nice, location is clean and they have a great selection of frames. I have purchased several frames here (and had lenses replaced in an old set of frames) and they were always perfect. 5 starts. I didn't know about the validated 90 minute parking, because I always bring public transportation in, but that is good to know! read more
