There were two other customers in the shop but he still took the time to make me feel welcome. He even got all three of us customers talking. The store itself is beautifully curated -- incredible selection, gorgeous packaging, even the lovely scent of the shop feels intentional. You can tell Ahmed puts genuine care into every detail. I originally stopped in because the tiny screws had fallen out of a pair of my sunglasses (that I didn't even buy there), and Ahmed kindly offered to fix them for me. He had to specially order the screws from abroad and even reinforced both sides so I wouldn't keep having the same issue. He refused to charge me for it, which was such an unexpectedly kind gesture. While I was there, I bought a pair of sunglasses and later realized I preferred another pair I had tried on instead. Even though it was entirely my indecision, Ahmed happily exchanged them for me without hesitation (I hadn't worn them). He was honest, helpful, and genuinely fun throughout the whole process -- the kind of person you instantly want to be friends with. It's rare to find this level of warmth, taste, service, and integrity all in one place. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this shop to everyone I know.

Friendly guy running this place. Unfortunately, I had 1 major issue and 1 smaller issue…read more I came in for a same-day lens replacement for a scratched lens. 1. He gave me the opposite prescription at first (I have a positive number for my spherical, and he gave me a negative number). I immediately knew it was wrong because it was incredibly disorienting, and he told me that my old lenses were prepared poorly and this is what they were supposed to be like and I just needed to keep using them and adjust to this. He confidently showed me the measurement on the machine behind the counter to prove it, but luckily I happened to notice that the number was wrong and pointed it out. To his credit, he apologized and fixed it, but it took an extra hour of sitting in his shop to wait for it. I can't get over how badly this would have messed up my eyes if I did as he said and just used them until my eyes adapted, which would have never happened. I have new glasses now with allegedly the same prescription, and they feel shockingly better when I compare them one after another. So I am concerned that at the end of the day, something was still wrong after all that. Perhaps it was the pupillary distance which he measured in a rush using a device which I may have been looking into wrong since I didn't have an explanation. 2. The whole process was expensive, and the lens quality was poor. I think they were the lowest quality lens material with no or poor antireflective coating. I accept that this is to be expected when buying on short notice, but there was no discussion of what i was buying or what options were available. This is mostly poor judgement on my part, and does not contribute much to my low score here besides the subpar price/quality ratio. He seems like a really nice guy, and perhaps service is much more accurate and faster on a day that isn't as busy as the day I went in. However, I wish that I had just put up with the scratch for another few weeks and waited for my glasses from the internet.

I have a couple different fairly mild problems…read morebesides just "needs reading glasses," but I am sensorally (is it a word? it is now) a total snowflake. I had previously just given up glasses because my last Rx gave me headaches (and my previous doc couldn't figure it out). Finally saw a new OD. Brought the Rx to Good Look on a whim. My doctor's first Rx was overkill. Second Rx wasn't overkill, but every glance to my periphery felt swervy and icky. I was about to throw in the towel, but Audrey basically sat with me to try and troubleshoot, taking the extra time that my OD couldn't. Between attempt #2 and attempt #3, Audrey took the initiative to reach out to my last doctor to get a full history of what I'd been wearing (and what really hadn't worked), hypothesized that while most people get used to the corrective lenses for astigmatism, my eyes just weren't having it. Audrey redid the lens again with less than a day's turnaround and comped half of round #2 and all of round #3. I am wearing those glasses right now to type this review up. These glasses are awesome. And Audrey is also unequivocally awesome. I will definitely be back when I need more glasses.

Dr. Chan and his office assistant proactively brought up my health insurance coverage and contact lens rebate for the best deal. They also price match contacts with places like Costco.
