The staff and optometrist are all so friendly and professional. I had some old glasses made in Taiwan but I couldn't see well out of them. The Optometrist checked my eyes and ordered me new lenses. My lenses are really thick (-12) so I needed special lenses to make them look thinner. After I received my new lenses, I thought they still looked thick and wondered if they could make it look thinner somehow. They made some adjustments with the lenses and now they look much thinner! And they didn't even charge me for the newer lenses or extra shipping. Later I accidentally broke my frame by trying to bend it. The staff looked at my frame, sent it out to be repaired, and fixed it. Again they didn't charge me, even for the shipping! Amazing service and experience! read more

Was passing through Boston on my way to Maine & had forgotten my glasses at home in another state. The staff at Eyes Over Copley were amazing & overnighted lenses to fit new frames for me the next morning & they had them ready in under an hour after getting my measurements. Great little shop with high end frames. Went here especially for the TC Charton's (asian fit eyeware) for regular frames and sunglasses. There are only 5 retailers that sell these in MA, picked this as it was the easiest to get to and glad I did. With the asian fit frames, you can wear plastic frames (no nose pads) because the nose area has larger plastic area so they sit on your nose bridge without sitting on your cheeks. The very helpful owner was likable and honest about trying to find the right frame for my face. After my glasses came in I had issues with the fit, so I went back in and they were very helpful in getting them adjusted. The owner was sure to tell me that if I still had issues and was unhappy, he would replace them until I was satisfied! Love the customer service! thankfully, there was no need to return as they fit properly now. I love my new glasses and sunglasses (which turned out great!) Enter on the library side and it's the first store on the left at the top of the escalator. read more

5 stars for Dr. Letourneau!! She was with my eye doctor in Brookline many years ago, which is how I found her here. I had not had my eyes checked in three years, and feared that I might even need - gulp - reading glasses, so I had an appointment this morning and to my great relief learned that I do not need reading glasses (well, not yet!) but I do have a prescription that just isn't right for me (it was written for me in Washington DC). Anyhow, after a thorough exam AND a cool scan with her nifty machine that scans the eye and saves the images, I am all set until next year. Easy to find right in the lobby of the Westin! read more

After my insurance changed, I needed a new place for my glasses and found Eyes Over Copley. Boy am I glad that I did and feel lucky. Despite my last minute end of year HSA visit, the staff were very polite and took extra time to ensure I made good choices and was educated. They offered many options and expert advise while being very patient. They even gave me confidence to try a bolder, new style of frame and I am glad they did. I love my new glasses. Dr. Fox, whom I saw, seemed competent enough. But the billing practices of this office are just terrible. I was never told that there was a separate $76 contact lens fitting (50% more than my last optometrist) for a five-minute portion of my visit that did not even include a follow-up visit like normal. I told the doctor that I was satisfied with the brand of contacts I had been using previously and had no problems with. When I called to address the billing of my insurance for this fitting, she said that I needed to be fitted because she needed to switch me from Acuvue 2 contacts to a newer model because they are being discontinued, which she never mentioned at my appointment and which I now see is simply wrong according to the Acuvue official website. I told the doctor that I wanted to use my insurance benefit on eyeglasses rather than on contacts, but she billed the contact lens fitting to my insurance anyways, along with an UNAUTHORIZED $44 "credit" to max out my contact lens benefit. When I complained about this, she simply said it could be reversed. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be billing my insurance for products you never provided me to begin with. I certainly never told the office that I planned to buy my contact lenses through them. Finally, the doctor did not provide me with my prescription until I specifically requested it after-the-fact. Perhaps this is a problem with her "call if you have problems" model of contact lens fittings (rather than the way every other optometrist I have visited does it - where they actually look at your eyes after several days to see if the contacts fit). When I told the doctor that giving a patient his prescription is REQUIRED BY LAW EVEN IF HE DOES NOT REQUEST IT (the FTC's "contact lens rule") she said she had never heard of this regulation. You'd think that after all of this hassle, she would have tried a little harder to make things right. But when I said I needed one contact lens immediately because my last one ripped, she said they only gave out singles if I ordered a box through her instead of just giving me a stupid disposable contact lens for free. My experience at Eyes Over Copley was out of this world good. I can't stress enough how fabulous everyone (from the optometrists to the assistant) who works in the office are. These people are customer service mavens. The actual eye exam is very thorough and frankly I found all of the cool imaging machines that they use to take 3-D images of your eyes fascinating. Once they figure out your prescription, an angel (I'm serious. She's a saint.) helps you pick out the perfect pair of glasses for your face type. I've never received so many compliments on a pair of glasses before. Her assistance and recommendations were absolutely right on. If you need new glasses you have to visit this establishment. read more

Hey. I came here looking for these Chloe sunglasses that I was burning for. Turns out Chloe is super hard to find, but I figured that a more upscale eyewear place would be more likely to have it. So I stopped in and an employee asks if she can help me find anything, I ask if they have Chloe frames? She barks NO and turns back to whatever she was doing. *Tip: when someone comes into your store and asks about $400 frames, you should probably be a bit nicer. read more

I had an extremely quick & painless experience here. A couple friends suggested this place to me after not having good luck with previous eye doctors. I felt totally comfortable (despite being soaked from the torrential rain - yay New England weather =) ) & she explained everything in detail she was doing. They are straight forward about costs, too, which is appreciated. I opted to get the 3D image taken of the back of my eyes (not covered by insurance, but they tell you that up front) since I needed to go back to work (& thus did not want to do dialation). Also, they don't pressure you to purchase contacts there, which is great because I can always find them cheaper online. read more

I rate it one star SOLEY based on the staff. The doctors are amazing. Dr. Letourneau is a sweet heart. However her staff is ridiculously rude and not at all helpful. I highly suggest a crash course in customer service and just plain hospitality. The first time I had walked into this store I was a rudely ignored. Despite that fact I came back because they had a great selection of frames. The worse part was after being rude to me I also watched as one of the staff members talked rudely to the doctor. the staff is just rude and snutty. hire new staff and this place would be amazing. read more

I've seen Dr. Patricia Fox for my annual eye exam for the past two years, and so far, it's been a breeze. She helped me get my first pair of contacts set up and walked me through the process of getting them in and out on a daily basis. She's patient, clear, and efficent, and probably one of the better eye doctors I've ever had. They do occasionally try to sell you stuff you don't really need, so it's good to be aware of that. Make sure you are not pressured into anything you haven't looked into yourself. read more

It's easy to see (pun intended) what makes EoC so wonderful. The entire staff, from desk-girl to doctors, is polite, upbeat, and helpful. It is not uncommon to see several of them gather around a client like a mini fashion show to give their opinion on the best frames for that person. Eyewear doesn't need to be boring, just peruse the wide selection at EoC, and talk to the fun people there! Source: I've been going there for yearly exams and new frames since they opened. Amazing, awesome place. Best I've ever been to. I had a horrible experience getting my eyes checked a while ago at Sears (wrote a review, if anyone cares). The doctor came in late and I suspect wasn't trained properly. I was having headaches and thought I might be going blind (Sears doctor took me from a -3.5 to a -4.25, a huge jump. The headaches had me worried I had gone to a -5 or something). Anyway, Dr. Fox explained that I was using waaaay too high a prescription, and I was a -3.5. She immediately gave me enough lenses to last a couple weeks, and told me to try out a hot new brand of disposables before deciding which ones to order. When I checked the price of the new brand, it was way too high (almost 2x as much as the brand I was currently using). I called and asked if I could keep using my cheapie brand. No problem. And, as an added bonus, if I brought in my unused, unopened boxes, they would exchange them for me for my correct prescription! Talk about amazing. My headaches have gone away, and I am 100% satisfied with my experience. Dr. Fox is amazing and takes her time with you. I'd put up with any brusque receptionist (though the person I met up front was fine- I'm just commenting on the other reviews here) in order to have such personalized service. read more

Dear Yelp Review Diary- Is it this easy to get glasses ordered and you dont have to wait in line?! I love it! I had no idea where I was going when Alex brought me. He didnt even know what complex we were in but told me he liked it here when he found it three years ago! Wohooo...and now I like it. Copley square it is. I like that sophisticated chillin place by the Westin and before the Prudential Shopping place. By the way we are in the GALLERIA I find out. I will never forget Alexs tour outside...he told me a secret that entertained me in our frosty bite walk along Copley square...oh so beautiful! cant wait to see Boston in the summer! moving to Boston in the cold seasons is just not the same. especially when ur hunting for places. I totally digress when writing reviews. It is never about the place...always about my experience and the little things that keep running thru my head on my way there. Cool optician. David took my broken glass frame and said it will be ready in a few days. Then he secretly whispered to Alex asking him if Im clumsy and if I was a CAREFUL Handler with glasses LOL. I was cracking up when Alex told me. As you know I have had sciatica for one whole month and couldnt walk. It just broke one day while I was trying to put them on. Couldnt have been my fault the frame just popped. Clumsy..I dont think so. Now disoriented from having severe Emergency room sciatica left leg severe pain where you are crying for mercy for a whole month...Yeah. Maybe. I am looking forward to my glasses so I can see again. They carried all these brand name frames there Channel Gucci. Maybe next time. I still have mild sciatica pain. Trust me you dont want to shop for glasses when you have this. But it is my self healing approach and physical therapy. But in a few days I will have my glasses again. Yipeeeeeeee! I couldn't have asked to leave an appointment happier. I recently moved to the area and have had a helluva time switching doctors ... It's made me so nervous because you are obviously trusting your health to someone you don't know. That being said, I looked on yelp and found Dr. Letourneau, and boy am I glad I did. She was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and explained everything ... Down to the nerdy questions I had about her state of the art machines ! Even though I opted out of the machine until next year since I just had my eyes dilated, I can't wait to opt out of dilation next year and splurge the $40 extra. She updated my prescription, which was badly in need, and gave me advice on what I should do in all aspects of my eye car that I truly trust. Best decision I've made since the move, highly recommend !!! read more

I recently made my first visit to Eyes over Copley. Dr. Fox was great - very thorough, explained exactly what she was doing and why, clearly explained the results and everything. I also appreciate that I missed a message asking me to come early (as the building was shutting down due to coronavirus) and they still fit me in and did not make me feel rushed. To top it off, they sent me my new glasses in the mail, which I was not expecting but was great customer service. Definitely will be my go to optometrist moving forward. read more

I broke a pair of Chanel eyeglasses by stepping on them (oops) and more than one optician told me they were beyond repair and to just buy a new pair. The best optometrist I have ever seen! Dr. Letourneau (who tells you to call her Linda) was so attentive and really wonderful when I went in for a full eye exam. She was great at explaining what she was doing, what each test was, what her thoughts were on different contact lenses, etc. She spent a good amount of time with me answering my questions and while there were some additional expenses for some tests, she didn't pressure me at all into getting them (even though I did) and was really open about discussing their benefits. The great experience didn't stop at the end of the appointment - I got a call the next day that she had ordered a pair of contacts for me to try and that they were already in. If I could give Eyes Over Copley and Dr. Letourneau more than 5 stars, I would! read more

Great visit! I stopped by during my lunch break to get the eye exam and was in and out in 30 mins. Dr. Fox was very informative and walked me through the whole visit, explaining each test she did and why she was doing it. She also gave me tips on how to keep my eyes healthy. I didn't feel pressured into buying glasses from them afterwards either, although, I will most definitely be buying a pair soon! I've been going to Eyes Over Copley for several years and while the doctors are incredible and the office is in a convenient location, the front-desk service leave much to be desired. The lady that I've interacted with on several occasions is cold, uninformative and condescending. It's a shame because the practice in general has been efficient. I didn't even have the chance to step foot in this place before I was turned off to it! I went to their website which is nice and seems to be all about 'social media.' So I gave them a call to see if they had an appointment for today...I know it's very last minute but hey I took a shot. The girl on the other end of the line said 'No, sorry. Goodbye.' Then hung up! The doctors are GREAT - so informative, thorough, and kind. I felt like they went above and beyond. However, giving a medium review because 1) I was billed wrong and it was a headache with the insurance company, 2) they promised follow up that never happened regarding contact lens ordering, leaving me to follow up instead, and 3) the front desk staff looks/acts like they are being held against their will. But I will definitely come back for my exams here! read more

Great experience! I needed an eye exam, contacts, and a new pair of glasses. Got an appointment with Dr. Letourneau. She's great. Funny, sincere, and easy to have a conversation with. I selected my new pair of glasses with the help of David P. Super helpful and a riot. We were razzing each other the whole time. Too funny. What a great place. Dr. Fox was amazing and super friendly. She took her time and was very good and in-depth at explaining the eye exam to me. ( I don't even wear glasses or contacts, but I needed my yearly exam.) She was very knowledgeable and new all my answers when I asked questions. I was told I have 20/15 vision- woo hoo. I went in yesterday to get an eye exam here and new lenses for my glasses. The appointment was really easy to make and they were able to accommodate my last minute scheduling changes.... I had a family emergency so I had to reschedule and Dr. Linda even asked me how my husband was doing when I finally came in for the appt. She was incredibly nice, explained every step of the exam and made me feel very comfortable (this was my second eye exam ever). My insurance covered the exam 100% - the lenses we partially paid for too. Everyone there was welcoming and knowledgeable and the space is beautiful. I don't know how their prices compare to other places' but I would definitely come back here for my annual exams and whenever I want new frames. read more

I got a set of great LaFont frame there, and they have a variety of styles from funky to simple. +When you try on your frames, they have a mirror set up with which they can take your picture while you are wearing them and can't see properly, and then you can put your current glasses back on to see what the new possible frames look like. I tried two, but I am sure you can try more. +Honest advice on how frames look and how to deal with the effects of say, daily long term computer use. I had a very positive experience there and wholeheartedly recommend it. read more
