Very approachable, very caring, overall a great experience. A great alternative to the overpriced chains.

He explained the issue thoroughly, answered all my questions, and was overall very friendly and patient. No complaints. On my follow-up, though, I waited for an hour and a half to see him for less than five minutes for him to check my eye and give the all-clear. Fast forward to a year later, when I was truly apprehensive about another long wait time in the middle of a work day. This time, for an annual eye exam, I was in and out for about an hour, which wasn't too bad. The technician I saw before Dr. Kaufman was great - I wish I got his name. He was painstaking in making sure my prescription was right and going over what he was doing. Excellent bedside manner. So, all in all, I think this office has made improvements in reducing patient wait time. That said, one suggestion I have is to validate parking for patients. This is one of the few doctor's offices I've been to where they don't offer this and it bothers me - patients can wait up to an hour and the parking ticket (which isn't a flat rate) is one extra cost on top of the bill. The parking situation next to the office is also stressful. During peak times, the lot right next door is full or reserved for residents and you have to scramble to find another spot in the garage across the street.

I was very fussy to get the best results, so I did a lot of small adjustments but the results were excellent.

I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the lobby before being seen, and the overall functionality of the office is the best of any Dr I've seen. I've received my prescriptions electronically which has made it easy to order glasses and contacts online wherever I can find them the cheapest. Dr Lamoreau is so nice, kind and competent. I've had eye issues related to allergies and she's been very helpful with steering me in the right direction of contact solution, eye drops and even switching contact type. She's had me come back for a follow up when I had a flare up and I felt well cared-for and confident in her knowledge and expertise. I can't recommend Dr Lamoreau at New England Eye Center enough!

Doctor Lamoreau is incredible at her job . She is always thorough, sweet yet professional and incredibly in tune with her patients needs . I highly recommend going to her. I'm very perplexed by the negative reviews. I am sure they had their reasoning, but I've been there 4 times over the years and had only positive interactions. In my line of work as a choreographer, some people are just impossible to please. One final comment. Parking can be an issue bc the hospital parking is quite full. Walk if you can, but if you drive be prepared to pay 2-6 dollars for parking if you plan to be there for 1-3 hours. Anyway go to Dr Lamoreau! She's awesome!

While I was filling out the paperwork, I witnessed the receptionist, Anne, personally calling Tufts to help a client figure out her insurance plan. She was on the phone for about 10 minutes, then guided the woman through the next steps (calling MassHealth) in the office. I was very impressed with her generosity and specialized attention (we all know how hard insurance companies are to talk to). I went in for an eye infection and the doctor was nice and listened patiently while I gave him all the information. He checked out my vision, put gels in my eyes to see unhealthy spots on the surface, examined the oil glands around my eyes, dilated my pupils for testing, and took photos of my eyes for glaucoma testing. There was no co-pay or fees when I left, so I guess my insurance (Tufts Health Together) covered it all. The only feedback I could give to improve this practice is to give out those cheap paper sunglasses to patients if they get their pupils dilated. If I didn't have my own sunglasses with me then the sunny walk home would have been painful!

Unfortunately for me, that was only my first Chalazion of many and I eventually developed Blepharitis, which I see him for every 3-6 months. Over the course of the last five years, he's worked with me tirelessly to find relief for my condition & symptoms and never makes me feel self conscious about my relentless push to find a viable solution. He has a great manner about him, tons of insight and always thinks of different approaches when things aren't working and celebrates when things are. My condition has ups and downs, but I can always call at any time and they'll do their best to get me in as soon as possible. Thanks to Dr. Saragas and his assistant Anne for being on my team to help me battle and hopefully win my fight against blepharitis and chalazions.
