Less than a year after my purchase what looked like a grain of sand became embedded in a lens. Also I noticed the red paint was starting to chip from the metal frame. I came in and immediately the person at the counter said something like sorry, we no longer carry that brand. Not understanding why that should be my problem, I asked to speak to the manager. He was pretty rude & said there was nothing that could be done about the paint and then acted like he would do me a big favor - rather than standing by his product - by replacing the lens, while trying to make me feel like this was my fault. He expalained that he had the same brand glasses and multiple children who were regularly grabbing them off his face, yet he never had a problem with these glasses. That's a great story, but I'll never return here!

Upon arrival for my appointment, they informed me that they are out of network for VSP. I mentioned that the person that scheduled my appointment assured me that they take VSP, they said then said that they do. They told me to pay for the appointment then and they would give me a receipt that could be submitted to VSP and VSP might reimburse some portion of the visit. Obviously, they are out of network and don't take VSP. What a waste of time. Not fun getting jerked around either...

He wrote a prescription without talking to me about astigmatism. I can't wear my glasses without getting dizzy. When checking out, the desk staff was pretty rude. Then I got a reminder to attend my follow up? For what? They automatically scheduled me for two appointments without checking my schedule or asking me to attend. It feels very paternalistic, doesn't feel like I was involved as a participant in my care. I didn't feel comfortable there and won't go back. Why should my insurance (or a patient) pay for appointments every three months if there's no ongoing treatment?

I have problematic eyes - one nearsighted and the other one farsighted, so finding the right balance has never been easy. Also so was finding a place that would accept my "poor" employer provided eye insurance. Want to report back that I was seen on time, without any delays. On top of that my insurance was accepted, which didn't help a whole lot, but nevertheless, I got a little break for which I am very thankful. The stuff was very courteous, they took time explaining me all the details of my new progressive lenses (This was the first time I've got progressive lenses, so I am still work-in-progress, as I am trying to get used to the new glasses and work out the angle that works best for me in different situations). Artyom, who helped me choose the lenses and also worked with the insurance company is the epitome of patience, as the insurance didn't really want to cooperate, which was far from surprising to me. However he knew his way around and managed to conquer all the obstacles with a help of another lady who works there. They both are very friendly and helped me quite a bit getting it all done before my vacation. Glancing at the previous reviews, I want to say that they have a selection of American brands for both genders at suggested retail prices, which is typical for the stores. Also if you are concerned that your insurance may not cover your eye exam, you can call them and confirm before making an appointment with the optometrist. They are open late in the evenings and also on Saturdays to accommodate any busy bees. I found their prices very reasonable and they had a wide selection of frames to choose from. They let me try out a couple of sample contact lenses (I ultimately stuck with the same brand/type/pair). This is a family practice and the entire office puts a lot of care and effort into their customers.

Instead, I was told I needed to complete a 30‑minute telehealth visit for general questions before I could see the doctor. They said they could issue a referral during that telehealth visit, but that wasn't helpful because I need the doctor's advice first. I spoke with three different representatives, and none of them could clearly explain the cost of the initial telehealth appointment or how to transfer my records from my previous provider. I ended up cancelling the appointment and plan to find a new PCP.
