Wow!! What a TREAT! First time in Pennsylvania, only here for 2 days. I was scraping by with…read morehotel coffee and needed the goods! I do my diligence on Yelp and found this glorious coffee shop! Small parking lot, cute little cottage type building, so welcoming! It was a Saturday morning to a little busy, but I wasn't leaving until I tried their espresso! When traveling, I'll typically order a shot of espresso, and a cappuccino (2 separate drinks). It lets me see what the shop does with regard to preparation. Do they offer a small soda water with the espresso? Do they measure their shots? How's the micro foam on that capp? How are the ratios? One sip of the espresso, and I'm pretty sure it ranks in the top 3 ever, and I've had a LOT of coffee! It was sweet, juicy, and incredibly enjoyable, as was the cappuccino. I asked the Barista, "Hey, how are you dosing your shots today?" He didn't skip a beat, "19.6!" Now, when you ask a barista this question, nobody would ever say 19.6 unless they knew that adding one extra bean north of 19.5 made that much of a difference. He even knew the brew temp. I picked up a bag, thew it in my suitcase and made my way back to California. I can't wait to try it! Super cute place, incredibly friendly and caring staff. Every person I interacted with was kind, patient, and welcoming. PS: I didn't have one, but the Apple Fritter looked amazing and people were gobbling them up!! Stop in!

This Vietnamese coffee was so good that I kept going back for seconds and thirds, which meant that I was going to the bathroom every 5 minutes when I was at the airport and on the airplane on a 5-hour flight home. It was worth every bathroom trip. It was so delicious, creamy, sweet, deep, flavorful, and everything that you could possibly want in a Vietnamese iced coffee. I never thought that I'd find amazing Vietnamese iced coffee in Pittsburgh, of all places, but it was really fantastic.

This shop is located on Noble Street and had a few cars parked out front on the morning we visited. Since it does not have a marquee, it was a little difficult to spot at first, but I eventually found it. While my family waited in the car, I headed inside by myself. The interior felt cozy with a small book nook on one side, a couple of display cases filled with food, and seating for around 10-20 people. For my coffee on this morning I went with a large hot brown sugar cinnamon latte while and I ordered my wife chose a medium iced mocha. While I was waiting, the lady working was very friendly and even confirmed that I was okay with the large having three shots of espresso. There was also some conversation going on between her, a friend, and another gentleman about the Port Authority busses. Even though I was not in a hurry, the service was definitely on the slower side. I would estimate it took around 15 minutes before I had both drinks and when I got back to the car, both of my twins immediately asked what had taken so long. Thankfully the coffee itself ended up being really good. My latte had a great cinnamon flavor along with a nice sweetness and it tasted like real cinnamon instead of just syrup flavoring. My wife also enjoyed her mocha. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While I wish service had been a little faster, the woman working was extremely nice and both coffees tasted good.

They serve a "Swizzy", a sandwich with multiple meats and cheeses, nicknamed for Swissvale, where the business is located. On a lazy Saturday afternoon after going to Bombay to Burgh, my wife wanted some caffeine to pick us up and since she had not ordered it at the restaurant, she had the chai here. She had an adequate alternative milk selection, and my wife enjoyed it with added cinnamon. As requested, I had a "double expresso with foam" which was expertly prepared. We sparred a bit over the name, it's a true Italian macchiato, whereas in the United States the "Starbucks Macchiato" has taken over (if the recipe is milk and coffee.. that's called a latte or cafe au lait in Europe, not a macchiato, which is two shots of espresso and a little foam). For whatever reason she had the sugar behind the counter, not up front. Anyway, it was open until 3pm so lucky us!

It has a really nice neighborhood vibe that makes you want to hang out. As for the menu, they focus heavily on coffee and tea, they have an extensive loose-leaf tea selections. I ordered one of their fresh juices because I am always looking for something healthy without processed junk. They also have lots of cookies and pastries like homemade scones and biscotti for my sweet tooth. Verdict: This is a charming small local spot with a great community feel. If you are in the East End and want a fresh juice or a solid cup of coffee, give it a try.

This coffee shop is located right on South Braddock Avenue in Regent Square and has both an outdoor ordering window and an indoor space. Since my wife and kids were waiting in the car and the sign said the window was served first, I decided to go that route. Because of that, there is not much more to say about the space itself other than I ordered from the sidewalk through a window. For my coffee I went with a large blueberry latte which I had seen recommended on Yelp. My wife went with an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte. Both drinks were ready within a couple of minutes and I was quickly on my way. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our coffees. The coffee itself was strong, bold and present. The syrups were flavorful and well balanced so they came through more on the finish and lingered nicely. They were not overly sweet and added a nice layer of flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our coffees, so it is an easy return for us.
