I was told the pedicure was $65, so the manicure came to about $100. My complaint is about the manicure, not the pedicure. Jennifer was great. During the first attempt, Kimmi cut my thumb. The nails were also different lengths, the base looked clear near the bottom, and I could see white spots through the pink. I raised my concerns during the appointment. The owner stayed late to adjust the nails and added tips to two that were too short. I arrived around 5:30 p.m. and left at almost 8:30 p.m. I waited, talked with her, and still tipped because I appreciated her effort. After the adjustment, I was still unhappy with the finished set. The builder gel looks thick and bulky from the side, the shapes and lengths don't look consistent to me, and the French tips vary. I'm posting photos of the first attempt and clearer photos of the finished nails taken four days later. When I called back, I was told they had already tried their best. The owner said she had asked me how things looked throughout the appointment. I appreciate the time she spent trying to fix them, but being polite and tipping didn't mean I was happy with the result. After four years as a customer, I expected a cleaner manicure at this price.

The tall, slim woman who initially came to do my nails had an attitude. The tech doing my pedicure told me to let the male technician do them instead. She spoke to him, but he ended up taking another client. Then a different woman came over to start, but once she realized I wasn't getting fake nails, she passed me back to the pedicurist--who then said she couldn't do overlays. Finally, the male tech did my nails, but rushed through the entire process and did a poor job. By the next morning, two nails had already cracked. PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW. The shop is located off the freeway and it does not look like your modern shops; however, there is no need to worry. There is a lock on the door and you must be "buzzed" in because there are a lot of solicitors and neighborhood locals that like to stop. New customers are always the individuals that feel unsafe and reference the area as "hood." Walk-ins are welcomed; BUT, everyone KNOWs TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. You won't find many reviews from their regular customers, because most of them are older and really don't turn to Yelp for reviews. So the reviews posted will not be from your 20+ years customers... it's from the NewNews that just googled "nail shops near me" PS. Prices have been the SAME for over $20 years. And they now accept credit cards and Apple Pay. They stuck to cash only due to possibly of ppl using stolen accounts. Hope to meet you there one day.

The area could take some sprucing up but overall the machines were clean and the area where your nails were actually done are clean. It's the area around it that needed some cleaning. Such as the floor being swept, organization of materials on the back counters.
