I do all my Miele vacuum service there on my 30 year old unit. They carry parts and do great work reasonable price.

The plastic attachment on the handle of my Miele vacuum broke so I called Miele customer service and they recommend that I bring the vacuum for a warranty repair at this location. I called to find out if I could just bring the attachment instead of the entire vacuum as it is very heavy. The man on the phone said that technically he has to see the serial number and went off on a tangent claiming that other customer's use Miele vacuums commercially and this is not covered by the warranty. Not sure why he would even mention that to me unless he was trying to discourage me from coming to his shop. So I had to ask the question again about possibly leaving the canister at home as I do have the serial number that proves the warranty and his response was I though we had already agreed that I do not seed to see it? At that point I should have taken his response as a sign to have the repair done elsewhere. So I walk in and the first words out of his mouth were "What's going on". No hello how can I help you... I let him know that I spoke to him on the phone about the vacuum and in a very condescending tone he said why didn't you just bring the wand and what is wrong with it. I told him that the plastic piece was broken. The next question was so where is it? Did you suck it up? I pulled out the piece and he says that is no good to me. He also started complaining about not liking to do Miele repairs. He kept on badgering me with questions and he finally had the nerve to ask me why I'm upset at him and also said to me "You have never worked in customer service right". That was the last straw I told him that I had worked in customer service and that his tone and attitude were not acceptable. This man is rude. condescending and likes to belittle his customers. I should have read the other Yelp reviews before I went in to this location, but unfortunately I trusted Miele's customer service recommendations. I paid almost $1,000 for this vacuum and this is the person that Miele chose to represent their brand? Needless to say I will never be going back to Park Ridge Vacuum. The owner needs an intensive customer service training and needs to learn manners. This is huge ask for someone like him. read more

I have been coming to this store for 20 years, at least, for my multiple vacuum cleaner supplies and repairs. My favorite item at this store, and I bought many over the years, still have all of them, too, is this horse hair dusting brush for my Hoover WindTunnels, which I have two of at each house in Scottsdale, and San Diego. I do all my dusting with this brush, which other vacuum stores do not carry. He said it was one of the best items they carried in the store, too. This brush fits on Windtunnel extension wands, but to make it fit on the larger diameter hose, you put electrical tape around the outside end so it fits inside the hose. Horse hair brushes last till they get bald, but those plastic bristle ones that Hoover gives you, get all clumped up and hard as if you put a torch to the bristles. But the horse hair stays soft. And it has been the same price for all those years, $6.95. A couple of years ago, my "Peanut the Pig" Compact vacuum cleaner stopped working, and I brought it to Park Ridge. He already knew what the problem was when I brought it in, which was...... the cord was bad. It cost $60 to replace the entire cord. I thought that was kinda expensive, but now it works. the horsehair brush fits perfectly on Peanut the Pig vac hose, too. I owned my Peanut the Pig since 1978 !!! It cost $278 back then, which was really6 expensive. Compact (manuf name) is the little vacuum they use in the airline industry, to vacuum the cabin after you leave. Two weeks ago I found a Hoover WindTunnel - Self-Propelled at a Goodwill store for only $14.46. It didn't have the brush, so I came in to buy another horse hair dusting brush today. My Miele had a couple of 'issues'! The on-off switch quit working, (leaving it in on position thank goodness) and the slide bar on air flow kept coming off! I was surprised to discover this little work horse has been working hard since May 2006 when I bought it new at Park Ridge Vacuum! I am a professional pet sitter and had lots of pets of my own till 2 years ago so it has cleaned up lots of hair!! Sean did a great job even took time to clean tons off scuffs off the body! I've had my Dyson DC14 for a couple years and recently it went on the fritz. Every time I activated the "carpet" setting, the base would would buzz and shake like I sucked up a pile of rocks. More than that, the "floor" mode barely maintained suction. Frustrating to say the least. Calling around, I landed on Park Ridge because five star reviews are nothing to overlook. The owner informed me that they'll fix Dyson's except for the Ball type. I brought it in on Tuesday, showing up right as the owner was locking up the for the day. He empathized about how bad the traffic can get on Shea and took me in. I explained the symptoms and it sounded like he knew the problem right away. Along with replacing a belt, he offered to swap out my HEPA filter and give her the full rundown. I came back to pick up my Dyson on Friday. After a quick test at home, I'm happy to say she's back to nearly brand new condition. These guys were fast and thorough, even knocking off a couple bucks because I opted to pay cash. All said and done, it cost me around $120, which is not bad when you realize that replacing one of these vacuums can cost two to three times more. read more

So my story, like many, starts off with my beloved Dyson DC 07 Animal. It's OLD. Probably 12-13+years. But I've done my homework and I've kept it in what I believed to be in pretty good shape (changed/washed the filters as best I could, etc.) I am also that person who idiotically thinks they can repair anything themselves by looking it up on the internet. And to be fair, I am pretty good with most things, i.e. I can disassemble my entire mobile device, replace the majority of the components, and put it back together, I have replaced several parts on my older SUV (interior door handle, drivers rear view mirror, sun visor, etc. Needless to say, I had given it the college try, but I had no more patience for it. I wasn't ready to give up on it, though, since the hose attachment still worked just fine. Mind you, for the past 6 months I'd disassembled and reassembled the thing about 3 times and even purchased a new Hoover (specifically for pet hair) which worked exactly ONE time before clogging to the point of no return. There just isn't anything that I've found comparable to the Dyson (yet). The piece of garbage Hoover still sits in my garage, but I digress. So, that's why I finally decided to pack up the Dyson, completely disassembled, (about 15 minutes before they closed) and hope the experts could help. I was fully expecting to leave it for a week while they trouble-shot and waited for a part to be ordered, if they even let me in without giving me a dirty look for walking in so late. My experience could not have been more the opposite if I tried. Not only did the owner himself help me, he told me that he was impressed at how far I'd taken my vacuum apart and how nice the shape of it was for being such an old unit. I had brought a photo from his own Yelp page to show him what I was certain he was going to need to do to repair my unit, but he informed me that the unit from that photo was the DC-14, lol. He then inspected the rest of the vacuum after I told him that the hose unit worked just fine and showed me where the roller unit was badly in need of repair (I may not be naming the parts correctly, don't quote me on those!) He proceeded to repair everything I needed done within 10-15 minutes and even provided me synthetic animal hair to test my vacuum with after he was done. And he showed me how you should be able to see through your filter when you wash it, and how dirty my (original) filter was! I cannot tell you how amazed I was, time after time, and then he even carried my vacuum to my car for me after I made him late for his appointment at home (so sorry!) This business owner has earned my business for life...he should give seminars and boot camps on customer service and earning business. Just wow. I have a Bissell Pet Carpet cleaner that stopped sucking up the water/dirt. Took it in and Sean looked at it, and it was my error - the dial for the hand-held pieces had been switched on. Duh! He knew this was it right away, and still tested it, AND fixed the loose handle on the machine. All for $0. I wanted to pay him for his time, but he wouldn't accept anything from me. Great service, clean shop (love the dogs!), and just could not have been nicer people (there was a lady in the shop, too). Def recommend this business!!! read more

Over the course of a few years I've brought two separate items in for what were relatively simple repairs and he couldn't/wouldn't do either one, giving me the distinct impression that it was beneath him to work on a less expensive vacuum. Deedee had a really rough day this week...sick as a...well, as a dog! Poor little pup! She had an unpleasant reaction to some of the medicine she takes for her arthritis...she and I are both getting up there in years! Placebo's and scotch don't help as much anymore! She's fine now...oh, a little stiff and sore, but still going strong! To make a long story short(er), I had to get the carpet cleaner out of storage (what, you don't have your own carpet cleaner?!?!). You know, clean up a few of the spots where she got sick...not really worth having the full blown carpet guys in. But when I went to use it, one of the doo-hickey's in the fremastat had burbled and the plenum gargoon was kaput! So that had to be fixed...and in spite of my prowess in fixing most things, I didn't have access to the Plurkie's spanner and the Spretzer spindle needed to repair it! It's a Hoover (boy do I love the word..."Hooooooover"), and a look at the Hoover website (checking for the right part - a left handed torsion nozzle) led me to Park Ridge Vacuum (another word I love..."Vacuuuuuuum"). I took it by PRV and they fixed my Hoover in about 10 minutes, while I waited...and they charged me exactly $5.00 US money! I could not have asked for better service, better prices, more convenience and nicer people...and to top it off, they had the PGA golf tournament (reg. tm. - "Glory's Last Spurt") on their TV, for my viewing pleasure while I waited! I would not even consider going anywhere else to get the fremastat on my Hoover re-snorkeled! read more

I went to Park Ridge Vacuum, because of the reviews I saw on Yelp about them. Sorry, but my experience was not what most of yours was. First, the lady ? at the counter told me how much it would cost to fix my Electrolux vacuum. However, I was still curious to hear what the owner thought the estimate would be. It turns out, the owner said that it "wasn't worth his time" to fix it (his exact words), and that I should just get rid of it. I told him it was a very, very expensive, high end Electrolux, that had worked great until the cord bent, and snapped in half. I didn't want to just get rid of it. He proceeded to tell me a few more times that I should just get another vacuum, as he was rushing me out the door. Then, finally, he said I could try this place called Complete Vacuum in Scottsdale-he said the owner likes to tinker around and has the time to fix it. I went to Complete Vacuum, and it was horrible. I wish I would've looked at the Yelp reviews of that place before I went there. They have 1 star. I can't help but wonder if the owner at Park Ridge referred me there as a joke or something. Maybe he was so abrupt, and not nice to me, because he saw my NY Mets license plate, and we were talking about how the Mets beat the Cubs in the Playoffs this past season. I could tell he was a big Cubs fan. I have no idea. In any case, I would not recommend this place. There is an Electrolux/vacuum place called Aerus, that is in Chandler, on Alma School and Galveston, where the manager was nice, seemed honest, and gave a fair price. read more

This place is a local, owner operated, repair shop. The customer service is great, and they can fix almost anything. We had a Nutone, central vac, from 1992. We never imagined they could fix it, but they did! We also bought a rug cleaner there when our old one broke. Repairs are done within a couple of days and the prices are good. read more

The latch on our Hoover steam cleaner/vacuum broke which prevented the machine from standing upright when not in use. The staff at Park Ridge was nothing short of amazing. They had the part in-house and fixed my vac within 10min while I waited and was reasonably priced. I have used Park Ridge vacuum since I moved to Scottsdale in 1994. They have always been an outstanding company to do business with. Quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. That was when there used to be a couple of guys that worked in the shop. I don't know if ownership has changed, but my last experience with them was absolutely horrible. A couple of months ago, I took my Hoover wind tunnel in because the power assist had stopped working and it made the unit very hard to push. Although it was something I thought I could've fixed easily, I always took the unit in to have all the belts replaced, and the unit tuned up, and new brushes if needed. There was young lady in the store with short hair who was wearing a plaid shirt. She check my unit in and told me she would give me a call with an estimate. When I hadn't heard after several days I call the shop. I believe it was the same young lady told me that the unit wasn't worth fixing. I ask her for more detail and she told me that she works on so many unit she couldn't remember what the problem was. I found that hard to believe as it had only been a couple of days since I drop the unit off. I pick the unit up, and stopped at Walmart and bought the appropriate belts I got home and took the vacuum apart a couple of big clumps of dust and dog hair fell right out. That led me to believe that the unit was never even opened. I replace the belts, and the unit works fine. Not worth repairing? It cost me five bucks and 15 minutes. I probably have had my vacuum serviced here about 15 times over the last 22 years. Each of those 15 times I would've given this company five stars. After this experience, I don't trust them, and will never return. I cannot recommend this company! In fact I would say stay away! If there was an option for zero stars that would be my preference!!!!! I was surprised to see all the five-star reviews. In fact there are only five stars and one stars, and one four star. Based upon my experience, I question whether all the five stars are legitimate . The thought comes to mind that ownership has changed recently, or someone may have a lot of friends doing Park Ridge vacuum a favor. read more

Wow! What a great place! The hose on our twenty-something year old Electrolux canister vacuum was in tatters, yet the thing was still running like a bull. We thought is was curtains for the vac until we found Park Ridge Vacuum, and Sean had a hose on hand for our specific model (which was made in Canada it turns out). What are the odds?!
