Cabin feel, live music, great drinks, amazing staff, what else could you ask for? Highly recommend. Cornbread was very mass forward, not too sweet.
Made a visit to PARK on a cold Labor Day for lunch, and very glad we did. We were seated upstairs and our server JM was incredibly friendly. Really loved the rustic modern design inside the restaurant. Drinks and food were excellent, portions were quite large and I wish we had actually eaten here for dinner instead to enjoy even more food! The restaurant just had a really great vibe, right in the heart of downtown Banff and definitely worth trying out.
Unfortunately, our experience here was extremely disappointing. We had walked by a few times and really liked the atmosphere, so we were excited to make a reservation. We were seated upstairs on the balcony, which was a nice spot and had a great vibe. The service started off fine, but things quickly went downhill. It took over 20 minutes to receive our drinks after ordering. While bringing them out, our server accidentally spilled an iced tea all over the table and onto my white pants. Mistakes happen, but we were surprised that there was no apology, and the response felt very dismissive. Shortly after, while we were cleaning up, she came back and sprayed cleaner on the table but accidentally sprayed it onto me instead. Again, there was no acknowledgment or apology. A few minutes later, she brought out a replacement drink, but it was the wrong one. When we pointed it out, there was some confusion and we were initially told it was correct before another staff member came over and brought the right drink. Unfortunately, the food was also a letdown. The bison burgers were extremely dry, and the ribs were so tough and chewy that they were difficult to eat. We were really hoping the meal would make up for the service issues, but it left us disappointed. Given the issues, we expected the spilled drink would at least be removed from the bill. Instead, we noticed additional drink refills on our tab that we didn't order. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially because we had been looking forward to trying this place. Hopefully this was just an off night, but based on our visit, we wouldn't recommend it.
Really good food in downtown Banff! Passionfruit virgin mojito sounds great but you can't taste the passion fruit. The spinach & four cheese dip with pita was excellent though, although I wish chips were served instead of soft pita. Cornbread with that maple butter was TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend that. Bison burger was juicy, massive, and the fries were nice and crispy. What's not to like?
Great food and super drink selection. Atmosphere was active and interesting. We were seated quickly and server was very interactive and interesting, although at times he seemed to go missing, either with other tables or in the back. We had to check out with someone else because we didn't know where he was. Great place and highly recommend.
Came in on Sunday for dinner and the prime rib was on sale for $39.99. The place is definitely loud but not terribly loud that you can't have conversations. Food didn't come out the same time. Drinks came out a little later than the food. The smores espresso martini wasn't too sweet or strong. It was just right. The service is great here. The staff is very accommodating and attentive. If you get the truffle fries, I would highly recommend getting the truffle mayo dip with it too.
We sat at the railing on the restaurant, which was great for looking out at the mountains or people watching. We had the cornbread, crispy chicken with honey sauce and a summer salad with salmon. All three were delicious. The salad was tomatoes, cucumber, salmon, BC peaches in a tasty vinaigrette. The peaches weren't soft, so I would venture to say they may not have been ripe. It ended up being a bit pricy ($38 CAD). The crispy chicken was fried perfectly with a sauce that wasn't spicy and was a little sweet. The cornbread was some of the best I've had and came with a homemade whipped butter. Daisy, our server, was imperative to helping with our decisions and she seemed excited about everything in the menu. The food came out in an appropriate time. I have zero complaints about the food, but it is on the pricier side for one main entree and two appetizers. They should fix some things in the women's bathroom. The tissue paper box is positioned in a way where it makes it almost impossible to enter a stall without hitting your back on the box. There are only hook and eye latches and it is impossible to tell is someone is in a stall. Ergo, someone pushed my door open even though it was latched. All in all, I would come back and try some other things on the menu.
I went here twice with friends during our Banff trip because we just loved their drinks and vibe so much! They have a great cocktail menu, and you're bound to find at least one that you just want to keep ordering. They're open probably the latest out of most bars, so my friends and I stayed out really night trying out a bunch of drinks from their menu. Their service is great--I highly recommend!
Food was great all around, I loved the rotisserie chicken burger, definitely recommend! Server was very nice and also hilarious! Cool multi floor restaurant with multiple bars and lots of different seating options (booth, table, bar, and even picnic tables inside?!) This place is pretty highly rated and id say it's well deserved!
drinks were sooooo yummy service can b a bit slow but overall great place to drink and see views in banff especially the upper area outside pretty quiet but has tv and sports games on so ur never bored! inside has alot of things to see like the distillery and nice interior
Great service, tasty flavorful good with a good portion, a nice selection for kids option. Dining area can be loud when it gets busy. Prices are reasonable. First time here in Calgary and it is just right across from our hotel so we can walk home if we had a few drinks without needing to catch a ride back to our hotel with kids. They have a free distillery tour as well.

Located in downtown Banff the Park Distillery is a must see restaurant. The two floor restaurant is big to allow proper social distancing. The decoration and the vibe of the restaurant is very modern and stylish. The service was relatively prompt but very quick, not much conversation. We ordered cocktails, the hummus appetizer and the vegan bowl. The drinks were delicious but a bit over priced. The hummus was lack luster and needed salt. The bowl was delicious but also missing some main factor. I guess it usually has an egg so without it the dish was a bit boring. Overall the food was good but definitely not worth the price. The service was decent but nothing worthy to mention. read more
First nights' dinner in Banff and it was everything we needed post long drives and hikes. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had & good fries. I was torn between 3 cocktails and was happy with the ptarmigan peak. The chickpeas in the veggie bowl completed it for me but also wish it had more greens. Quesadilla was good but some of the brisket was too fatty. Would come back again to try more cocktails and entrees! read more
This restaurant was probably one of my favourite during our weeklong trip. A reservation here is a must! I'm glad we visited outside of peak summer season. We arrived and were promptly lead to our table, walking past the waitlist crowd at the front. We sat indoors on the upper level where the weather was nice during Fall and the breeze flowed through the restaurant. We ordered a Cowboy cut ribeye (18oz bone in), HIkers Greens, Beetroot Hummus, Smoked Tomato Chili Vodka Soup, Sawback and a Forty Creek Confederation Oak as recommended. I'm not normally that interested in reviewing a place when I agree, more or less, with the other 500 reviews. But I just had my fifth meal at the Park Distillery and realized that everyone one of them has been really good. From the food, service, and beverages, excellent, every time. As you'd expect, they make their own spirits and offer some excellent cocktails. They offer have an extensive list of local beers on tap. The food menu varies from the traditional Park Burger and Fries to an Ahi Tuna Salad or Seared BC Salmon. They carry gluten free food and beer, and have a complete vegan and kid's menu. They are managing the Covid isolation fairly well, luckily it's a big space so distancing is easy. Service has always been friendly and attentive, even when, like most pre-Covid evenings, it's crazy busy. Worth a visit when your in town. read more

Park Distillery is the bomb diggity! That sounded better and rhymed better in my head... ;) Thanks to a rave recommendation from a friend of mine who was in Banff a couple of weeks before me, my hubby and I made it a point to have dinner here on our last night. Talk about ending our trip to Banff with a bang! The food, bevy, atmosphere, and staff here are all awesome! Emma K. was our wonderful server and I hope she's still there when we return to Banff again this summer! Standouts were: *Corn Bread with Maple Butter (so incredible that we ordered another round to take back to our hotel to enjoy the next morning!) *Seared BC Salmon (the only non-vegetarian dish we had the entire trip, and it was worth it) *Park Veggie Bowl (packed with flavor, vegan & gluten-free!) Absolutely love that fact that they have a fantastic plant-based menu as well! That alone will bring us back when in Banff again. Well, that and their small-batch spirits which are distilled in-house! Gotta love and support local! Thank you Park Distillery for providing such a great experience and place to gather, eat, drink, and be merry in Banff! read more
This took the award for "Overall Best Meal" we had on our trip to Banff. Mostly because all the elements of our experience was great. I would tell anyone that goes to Banff to come here for dinner. You'll see all around town that their alcohol is on every menu in the city and when you try it you will know why. Reservations: They will do walk ins if available, but we saw people get turned away. So if I were you, go ahead and make reservations on OpenTable. Ambiance: This was a very cute restaurant. It had the warmth of a cozy mountain tavern but it had a bit of industrial-ness with the views of the distillery. Food: Drinks - I got a Sawback, and my wife got an Old Fashion. These were probably the best cocktails we had on our trip. Cornbread (appetizer) - this was good but probably not "needed". The bread was very light and the maple butter was just a smidge maple (just a bit sweet). Bison Burger - this was my favorite burger of the trip. It was simple but really good. Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich - this was my wife's favorite. It was chicken coated in bbq sauce with coleslaw on a bun. Portion-wise, we probably could have gotten away with splitting 1 entree (but we had more fun getting to try 2 different things / sharing them). read more
Good spot for cocktails and a beer. The place is usually pretty busy, at least from what I noticed every time I walked by. The day we went we were able to snap a seat at the bar. We only got to try their Caesar salad with chicken, which was good, but I can't comment on any other food items on the menu. read more

My companion and I enjoyed dinner at Park Distillery. Thanks to the large interior and both on-street dining area and upper deck dining area, we were able to get in almost immediately even on a busy Saturday evening. We sat right on the bar height rail overlooking the street and downtown Banff, which was really lovely. The beer was cold and the food was good. I'd definitely recommend Park Distillery for the extensive and versatile menu and the seating options. read more

Love this place. Distillery and restaurant in one! Birds Eye Chili vodka is so good! Great drink selection and food menu had lots of vegan/GF options. The roast chicken was so flavourful and the broccoli was spicy and delish. Loved the prime rib as well read more

Super informative bar tenders. We got the spirit tasting along with one of the mixed drinks. I got the storm mountain - made with the gin, peach schnapps, lime and honey/basil syrup. I'd 10/10 recommend! It was the perfect summer drink. They have a store too where they sell their spirits in various sizes to take home. read more

The Park Distillery was packed when we arrived, but we were still seated instantly. Food overall is quite pricey but we really enjoyed every thing we ordered. Both the hard cider and hard root beer were amazing, but the root beer was especially delicious with their house made vodka. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the distilling process which was a cool touch as well. Highly recommend, would go back! read more

Reviewing after we rented out the top floor for my wedding rehearsal. Top notch team, food, and atmosphere. Biased opinion but it's the best spot in Banff for this type of event and their team made it amazing. Hayley Turner and the waitstaff were all so nice and ensured everything was taken care of so we could enjoy our night with guests. Almost forgot to add -- Food and cocktails are so good, everyone complimented how great the casual mountain vibe was for great ribs, bbq chicken, and smokey bourbon cocktails! Stopped in for a drink after walking around Banff and having dinner. The drinks were good. Their focus is on vodka and gin, and most if their cocktails make use of their homemade spirits. I tried the skoki, which was their version of an old fashioned. They make a rye whiskey that has a maple flavor to it, which adds a nice sweetness to an old fashioned. The atmosphere in the distillery was nice. They had some fun decorations and a nice patio on the second level. Service was decent. read more
Billboard ads work! On the drive from Calgary to Banff I saw a sign advertising gin at Park Distillery. As a gin fan I definitely wanted to give it a try. On our first night we stopped by to get a cocktail but the bar was full with an hour wait. The next day I called to see if I could make an earlier dinner reservation for our large party and we lucked out. The timing was perfect because by the time we drove back from Jasper they had our table ready. Service wasn't that great but the food and drinks made up for it. The Game Burger was delicious and I surprisingly enjoyed the pork poutine. I like my fries generally plain but since we were in Canada I had to give poutine another shot. I enjoyed the gin and tonic so much that I bought a bottle at the duty free store at the airport. Make reservations on Open Table or call the restaurant. read more

Amazing cocktails, good food, perfect location for people watching. My elk burger was really tasty, but I would have liked more of the blueberry aioli on it to give a little more flavor and moisture to the burger. I love that they cook it over and open fire though, I really get that hint of smokiness, which was delicious. It's expensive but it's Banff, so you gotta go in expecting that. read more

Great vibes. Gorgeous views. Delicious food. Good cocktails. Our first meal during our visit to Banff and this did not disappoint! There was suppose to be about a 30+ minute wait for our party of 3 but we were seated in 15 minutes. I can't recall which cocktail I ordered but it was good and complimented my meal. PARK POUTINE (Pork baked beans, diced prime rib, cheese curds): My first poutine and it did not disappoint! We ended up ordering poutine every chance we got during our trip and this was still one of my favorites! SMOKED BRIE (Seasonal chutney, crackers, crostini): I am NOT a fan of cheese but this was very good! The chutney was delicious. The brie was smooth and had good flavor. PRIME RIB (Horseradish & jus): My entree. Unfortunately, this was not one of the highlights. I requested it be cooked medium and it came out more medium well. Under seasoned but I was able to salt it up a bit. CHARRED BROCCOLINI: My favorite side dish. Absolutely delicious. Super fresh and great flavors. My friends raved about their entrees. It's definitely pricey but so is everything else in Banff. The view and quality of food made up for it. Overall, I loved our dinner experience and would return if I was in the area. read more

Went back the Park Distillery after a hike. Had been once before and had the burger which was just ok. Got the rotisserie chicken sandwich this time and liked it a lot more. Bbq sauce on it was pretty tasty, and the fries were better this time. Lots of drink options as well. read more

We made a last minute reservation for Park Distillery for a group of 7 on a Saturday night and were seated right when we got there. I tried the Hard Root Beer which tasted just like regular root beer, hard to believe there was any alcohol in there! Rotisserie chicken seemed like a popular item for the restaurant so we ordered two Rotisserie Chicken Ceasar Salads to share which were tasty. For my entree I ordered a Rancher's Steak Frites which came with a 10oz sirloin with garlic butter and crispy onions, served over a bed of curly fries. The steak was good, cooked a medium rare per my preference. Fries were awesome, I really couldn't stop eating them. Another popular item for the table was the Cedar Plank Salmon which was served with an arugula and radish salad. Overall a solid spot to grab food and drinks after a long day on the slopes or exploring the national park, it was surprisingly easy to grab a last minute reservation. Service was generally nice, but they were very busy so the servers seemed to be stretched thin. read more

Got the park veggie bowl for $23. First thing I want to say is that it was probably one of the driest foods I've ever eaten which is unfortunate bc the salad was good, the chickpeas were a great crunchy, but the kale humus and falafels were super dry. I also wished the poached egg wasn't so cooked, because it would've been better if it was more runny. The service was fine and the non-alcoholic drink I got was good, so if I were to go back there, I'd for sure get a different dish. read more

This is the best distillery with amazing food! If you are a Gin fan, you absolutely have to try the but on barrel aged Gin here! The atmosphere here is in feasible and it's a pretty large floor plan with multiple levels. They have a free distillery toor as well. read more
While visiting Banff, I noticed that this restaurant had a decently-sized, socially distant patio and has great reviews, so I decided to eat here, expecting it to be decent, but overpriced because it's right in the heart of Banff. To my surprise, the food was great! The bannock was great, and the burgers come with either perfectly crispy fries, or a crunchy house salad. The service was also stellar, with the waiters being very friendly and accommodating. I ended up visiting again because of how impressed I was with the experience. read more

A must do/stop while you're here! Atmosphere and location is great. Highly recommend getting a cocktail/drink with the gin/vodka/rye they make at the place! I got the rotisserie chicken and fries. Chicken worth it! A lot of food, and the fries were ok. The side gives you a lot, so it's worth getting and you can share it. Also highly recommend making a reservation because it fills up fast. Otherwise it could be a 45min wait. read more

We had striploin, tenderloin, and prime rib. The tenderloin is the best. Maple rye is a must try Many of their vodka are awarded winning. Try the vodka flights! Find a parking around the information center and you can just walk across the street to the restaurant. read more
