Called for a last minute reservation for a large group (10+). Opentable said there was no availability but they were able to accomodate when we called directly. Food was great and portions were generous. The bison burger was surprisingly moist and the blueberry aoli was delicious. Subbing the side included with the burger for the soup of the day is great to get a taste of the soup without getting a separate order of soup. Plus if you share with someone with their fries, the soup becomes a great dip. Also was able to pick up small bottles of their alcohols at a local liquor store and so far everything we've tried (rye, gin, coffee vodka) was smooth and easy to drink. Our group stayed for way longer than I thought we should but staff never rushed us out. Still continued to refill water and coffee even after we settled our bills. A little on the pricier side but I think it's starting to become standard for places like this and there's not as much competition in Banff either. read more

She went to the kitchen and figured out what contained his allergies and helped us figure what he would be able to have. Service was phenomenal! This was my second time coming here. I had rode from Canmore to banff and stopped by here for lunch and gotten the bison burger which came recommended. It was delicious! I had a pint of the sour and half pint of the ipa. This was the first place on banff ave we stumbled across and it looks good. Food is 3/5 but drinks 5/5! It is a distillery for a reason right? Got seated outside and all was good until it got super windy! We actually got up and bought jackets next door while finishing our meals. Park Burger - Decent Baby back ribs with roasted chicken- ehh. Not worth the price Wings - they were also ok Drinks. Sawback - Park Chili Vodka , triple sec, pineapple juice, lime agave nectar - $17. This was soooo good if you like a little kick. If you're travelling to Banff, this is a must-visit restaurant. Not only do they have amazing cocktails, their food is on par! I can't stop thinking about this bison burger. It was incredibly done with just the right balance of gaminess to let you know it's bison but beefy enough to taste like a burger. The crispy bacon never hurt anyone and those fried onions were absolutely perfect. Of course, the fries were on point... I'm getting pretty hungry just thinking about it. We also had their beet tostada which had a beautiful harmony of flavours. Of course you need to order a cocktail so I chose the wonder pass. Our friends brought us here to replenish during our day trip. I haven't been to Banff since I was a teen so the town has changed enough that some Of my favorite places are gone. This apparently is the one of the go to places now. And I love it! They distill their own Vodka and gin so I had to try their tomato chili vodka soup. So so good and got a kick. Also had the chicken sandwich. Huge portions. Way too heavy for lunch so I had to pack some home. We also had quarter rotisserie chicken with a generous side order of Fries and the broccolini was so good too! Service is great and atmosphere is wonderful. Saturday night - this place had an opening at 8 pm!!! Everywhere else 1 hour wait unless you had reservations. It's February- I think everyone eats out on Saturday. Place is still packed but lots of servers! Loud but not crazy. Full BAR! Bison burger lean, bbq sauce and thin onion rings on top- it was cooked well done/ as the way it comes- you do not get a choice like in USA. Also in USA one can drink at the bar casually-- in Canada- they are more civilized and required you to be seated by a hostess!! So do not be a crass American (like me) and hover around the locals at the bar -- you need to have a seat!!! Lesson learned-- there is a hostess who knows everything and you as a foreigner should be more informed. I don't get out much. Anyway/ I really enjoyed this place!! I visited the Park Distillery in Banff while I was on vacation in 2019 and this was one of my favorite restaurants during my visit. The decor inside was nice. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the Pappardelle pasta and it was absolutely delicious. If I ever visit Banff again, I will make sure that I come here again. read more

We ordered their specialty drink called Mountain Joe Hard Coffee-Shaft which consists of their in house made vodka, cold brew coffee, & a splash of milk (cow or oat) this drink is a MUST order if you like coffee & it's now become my new favorite alcoholic beverage! I ordered their Caesar salad to start off with which was outstandingly delicious & I ordered the Seared BC Salmon which consisted of a Feta caper sauce, arugula & watermelon radish salad, warm potato salad! Out of this world delicious! The hostess that greeted us was upbeat, friendly, & bubbly & seated us right away after asking for our reservation. The Park Distillery was packed when we arrived, but we were still seated instantly. Food overall is quite pricey but we really enjoyed every thing we ordered. Both the hard cider and hard root beer were amazing, but the root beer was especially delicious with their house made vodka. We ordered Caesar salad and sausage rolls to share. The salad has bacon and croutons, and dressing was on the creamy side not fishy flavored and it had shredded chicken. It was delicious. Best spontaneous dinner decision. We pulled in around 7PM to our camping spot for the night and decided to swing into Banff for some dinner. We were up for anything but couldn't help but notice the amazing reviews for this place. We got seated for 2 right away on their patio up top, looking over Banff from some bar-styled seating. Our server was super prompt and gave us great customer service and helped me decide on my drink. The "Sawback" was what I ended up getting, with chilli vodka, pineapple juice and I was worried it might be too spicy but it just had the slightest zing which made this drink delicious, super drinkable and refreshing. My boyfriend got the Wonderpass with passionfruit, gin, and more shaken with egg whites to have a very cute cocktail that was dangerously delicious. I could have drank those all night. For dinner we got the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and the Beef Dip. The Beef Dip was super unique with the spread of chimichurri inside. We subbed for a caesar salad and it was a great combo. I was a bit worried about the chicken sandwich - I'm always down for a deep fried chicken burger/sandwich but rotisserie chicken made me nervous. It was absolutely amazing though and I almost didn't want to share with my boyfriend. I got their fries and they tasted double deep fried (in a good way) covered in mostly salt but a touch of sweetness that made you wanting more! The quality of the foods seemed to have gone downhill since I last came here. Also, the hostess wasn't friendly when we checked in our reservation. No smile and seemed to give us an attitude when we changed our minds to sit indoor instead of our requested outdoor (it was really cold that day, didn't know). We tried the prime rib entrée with fries, vegan burger with fries, and quarter rotisserie chicken with crushed potatoes and coleslaw. We also each ordered drinks and I got the cocktail with the rye. Foods came out pretty quickly, in less than 20 minutes. Our drinks came out in less than 10. The rotisserie chicken was a decent size, a lot bigger than the previous one we had at another location but the chicken was a bit dry and lacked some flavor. The crushed potatoes were the highlight of the dish - crispy and flavorful. The gravy tasted odd, I tried to pair it with chicken and potatoes but it just tasted super watered down. The coleslaw was standard. My friend thought his prime rib wasn't worth 78CAD, it was big but didn't taste as good as the ones he's had in the bay. My friend thought her vegan burger was good. This restaurant was probably one of my favourite during our weeklong trip. A reservation here is a must! I'm glad we visited outside of peak summer season. We arrived and were promptly lead to our table, walking past the waitlist crowd at the front. We sat indoors on the upper level where the weather was nice during Fall and the breeze flowed through the restaurant. We ordered a Cowboy cut ribeye (18oz bone in), HIkers Greens, Beetroot Hummus, Smoked Tomato Chili Vodka Soup, Sawback and a Forty Creek Confederation Oak as recommended. Hubby made reservations here and highly recommended as it is popular. He's a burger guy and thought the bison burger was very good but Over priced at $32. It came with option of a lot of fries or tomato vodka soup. They brought fries to the table and had to take it back to make the switch. I had a spoonful of tomato soup and tasted more vodka than soup. I guess you could call it a hot Bloody Mary. Not for me. My falafel salad was basically chickpeas served 3 ways. A salad with quinoa came with it in the bowl. The red hummus was very good. The falafel balls were dense and dry. I didn't like the fried individual chick peas - bland and don't expect it to be crispy. I did enjoy the salad greens portion. For $25, I wouldn't order or recommend. Hubby's peach ale was good. This took the award for "Overall Best Meal" we had on our trip to Banff. Mostly because all the elements of our experience was great. I would tell anyone that goes to Banff to come here for dinner. You'll see all around town that their alcohol is on every menu in the city and when you try it you will know why. Reservations: They will do walk ins if available, but we saw people get turned away. So if I were you, go ahead and make reservations on OpenTable. Ambiance: This was a very cute restaurant. It had the warmth of a cozy mountain tavern but it had a bit of industrial-ness with the views of the distillery. Food: Drinks - I got a Sawback, and my wife got an Old Fashion. These were probably the best cocktails we had on our trip. Cornbread (appetizer) - this was good but probably not "needed". The bread was very light and the maple butter was just a smidge maple (just a bit sweet). Bison Burger - this was my favorite burger of the trip. It was simple but really good. Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich - this was my wife's favorite. It was chicken coated in bbq sauce with coleslaw on a bun. Absolute favorite restaurant in downtown Banff! Walking by, we could tell this place was cool. The beautiful sign, fun outdoor patio and interior lighting screamed "casual, but quality" which was our overall vibe of the trip. Because there were only two of us, we were sat immediately both times we stopped in. Our servers both times were absolutely fantastic. For our first visit in, I got the Caesar salad with chicken and it rocked my world. It was truly the best Caesar salad I've ever had, as the sauce was the perfect ratio, the croutons fresh and the chicken just pulling apart so nicely. On our second visit, I wanted to order it again, but convinced myself to try something new. This second time I got the Park Burger with the "hiker greens" a salad that comes with trail mix and fruit on it and is also SO surprisingly delicious. It's clear here that the chefs are incredible and really understand flavor combinations because all of their unique concoctions and recipes really work! While this place is a distillery first and foremost, people of all ages are allowed to dine in. Also because it is a distillery, we had to order a few cocktails. I enjoyed the mule, and then when we were sat at the bar on our second visit, we had the pleasure of watching the bartenders in action. They were doing all sorts of fun things: setting cocktails on fire, smoking garnishes, filling jars with smoke for added flavor, etc. It was super entertaining, so if you're 21+, I recommend sitting bar side at least once! read more
