Made a visit to PARK on a cold Labor Day for lunch, and very glad we did. We were seated upstairs and our server JM was incredibly friendly. Really loved the rustic modern design inside the restaurant. Drinks and food were excellent, portions were quite large and I wish we had actually eaten here for dinner instead to enjoy even more food! The restaurant just had a really great vibe, right in the heart of downtown Banff and definitely worth trying out.
Really good food in downtown Banff! Passionfruit virgin mojito sounds great but you can't taste the passion fruit. The spinach & four cheese dip with pita was excellent though, although I wish chips were served instead of soft pita. Cornbread with that maple butter was TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend that. Bison burger was juicy, massive, and the fries were nice and crispy. What's not to like?
Great food and super drink selection. Atmosphere was active and interesting. We were seated quickly and server was very interactive and interesting, although at times he seemed to go missing, either with other tables or in the back. We had to check out with someone else because we didn't know where he was. Great place and highly recommend.
Came in on Sunday for dinner and the prime rib was on sale for $39.99. The place is definitely loud but not terribly loud that you can't have conversations. Food didn't come out the same time. Drinks came out a little later than the food. The smores espresso martini wasn't too sweet or strong. It was just right. The service is great here. The staff is very accommodating and attentive. If you get the truffle fries, I would highly recommend getting the truffle mayo dip with it too.
We sat at the railing on the restaurant, which was great for looking out at the mountains or people watching. We had the cornbread, crispy chicken with honey sauce and a summer salad with salmon. All three were delicious. The salad was tomatoes, cucumber, salmon, BC peaches in a tasty vinaigrette. The peaches weren't soft, so I would venture to say they may not have been ripe. It ended up being a bit pricy ($38 CAD). The crispy chicken was fried perfectly with a sauce that wasn't spicy and was a little sweet. The cornbread was some of the best I've had and came with a homemade whipped butter. Daisy, our server, was imperative to helping with our decisions and she seemed excited about everything in the menu. The food came out in an appropriate time. I have zero complaints about the food, but it is on the pricier side for one main entree and two appetizers. They should fix some things in the women's bathroom. The tissue paper box is positioned in a way where it makes it almost impossible to enter a stall without hitting your back on the box. There are only hook and eye latches and it is impossible to tell is someone is in a stall. Ergo, someone pushed my door open even though it was latched. All in all, I would come back and try some other things on the menu.
I went here twice with friends during our Banff trip because we just loved their drinks and vibe so much! They have a great cocktail menu, and you're bound to find at least one that you just want to keep ordering. They're open probably the latest out of most bars, so my friends and I stayed out really night trying out a bunch of drinks from their menu. Their service is great--I highly recommend!
Food was great all around, I loved the rotisserie chicken burger, definitely recommend! Server was very nice and also hilarious! Cool multi floor restaurant with multiple bars and lots of different seating options (booth, table, bar, and even picnic tables inside?!) This place is pretty highly rated and id say it's well deserved!
drinks were sooooo yummy service can b a bit slow but overall great place to drink and see views in banff especially the upper area outside pretty quiet but has tv and sports games on so ur never bored! inside has alot of things to see like the distillery and nice interior
Great service, tasty flavorful good with a good portion, a nice selection for kids option. Dining area can be loud when it gets busy. Prices are reasonable. First time here in Calgary and it is just right across from our hotel so we can walk home if we had a few drinks without needing to catch a ride back to our hotel with kids. They have a free distillery tour as well.
Absolutely loved this place. Their house whiskey is legit. Corn bread is the best I've ever had(don't tell my mom). Bison burger was so good. Interior is really cool decor with 2 levels and a bar on each level. Awesome balcony views. Service was top notch
Was able to book this on OpenTable. The doors open to allow fresh air and light to come in. This added to our dining experience as you can see the cars/buses and people just walking around outside and you can hear the commotion. I enjoyed the atmosphere it created. Now, the drinks here are pretty good and they use their own spirits. But what I really liked was the Annex rootbeer they served. It was so good that I am still thinking about it til this day. Unfortunately, it's only available in Canada so I'm a little bummed. It doesn't give off that sugary processed aftertaste you get with most root beers. A must try if you come. Just keep in mind that it's not free refills. We ended up ordering the rib eye 16oz. and in about 5 minutes, the food came out and I was like, that was really quick. Then I saw that they actually gave me the prime rib instead. I spoke to our server and she messed up the order and she kind of sold us on keeping the prime rib. We are glad we kept it because it was really good. The smoke flavor really put this one up there. Although I would have been happy with the ribeye, the smokiness really helped enhance the flavor. I was still a bit hungry afterwards because we planned to share the 16oz. ribeye, but the prime rib was only 12oz. and it did have an ounce or so of just fat that wasn't edible. Our server was great and I also noticed how personable their wait staff was because they all were engaging with their tables. We were able to ask for advice on what to do and what to avoid and that really helped us plan the rest of our time in Banff. This is a definite bookmark for the next time.
I came to Park Distillery on my first night in Banff hoping to get a good, hearty meal before a busy weekend filled with a lot of hiking, and had a great time at Park Distillery! My partner and I decided to split the bison burger and the spicy rigatoni alla vodka. I'm not a vodka pasta snob - they all taste pretty similar to me and for the most part I think all vodka pastas are good, and Park Distillery's falls under that umbrella as well. Something special they did was use was sprinkle bits of fresh mozzarella over the top which I thought added a nice touch and made this dish more interesting. We were between the bison burger and the regular burger but I had never tried bison before and wanted to give it a go. It was definitely a nice burger - I'm not sure if I would've liked a regular burger better, but I appreciated how unique the flavors were between the more game-y bison and the blueberry aioli. I think I expected it to blow me away a bit more but there wasn't anything to complain about! I'm glad we decided to share these items because I think while they were both good, I sense I would've gotten a bit tired of the flavors if I had to eat a whole dish on my own. Most importantly, we were able to get through some pretty intense hikes the following days, so thanks to Park Distillery for properly fueling me! read more

If you're travelling to Banff, this is a must-visit restaurant. Not only do they have amazing cocktails, their food is on par! I can't stop thinking about this bison burger. It was incredibly done with just the right balance of gaminess to let you know it's bison but beefy enough to taste like a burger. The crispy bacon never hurt anyone and those fried onions were absolutely perfect. Of course, the fries were on point... I'm getting pretty hungry just thinking about it. We also had their beet tostada which had a beautiful harmony of flavours. Of course you need to order a cocktail so I chose the wonder pass. Using their awesome Park Alpine gin along with triple sec, lemon, egg white, passionfruit... yeah, it's a lot but it is a symphony of flavours. Come for the drinks but stay for the food! read more

Our friends brought us here to replenish during our day trip. I haven't been to Banff since I was a teen so the town has changed enough that some Of my favorite places are gone. This apparently is the one of the go to places now. And I love it! They distill their own Vodka and gin so I had to try their tomato chili vodka soup. So so good and got a kick. Also had the chicken sandwich. Huge portions. Way too heavy for lunch so I had to pack some home. We also had quarter rotisserie chicken with a generous side order of Fries and the broccolini was so good too! Service is great and atmosphere is wonderful. We went on a weekday so It wasn't too busy but I'm sure on weekends it'll be bustling. Cool fact - they cook everything over campfire! And their portions for side is very generous. read more
Our party had mixed reviews on this place. The appetizer of guacamole was enjoyed by everyone and the house chips seemed to be homemade (gluten free). My husband and I ordered burgers. I really enjoyed my burger because I was able to order vegan cheddar and a spicy vegan mayo to be dairy free! My husband ordered a beef/bison mix burger and really enjoyed it. We were both very underwhelmed when it came to the fries. I barely ate any of mine. Our friend didn't have the best experience. He ordered a steak with grilled veggies. He ordered his steak medium rare and it came medium and his veggies were cold. He also had asked if he could substitute a side for macaroni and they didn't communicate until the bill came that it would've been an upcharge. Absolutely amazing, a must try if you're in the area. Bison burger - 5/5 so juicy and flavorful. The texture from the crispy onions and the subtle sweetness from the blueberry aioli was perfect. I've had this burger twice while on this trip. Curly fries are probably some of the best curly fries I've had, and I'm from Texas Campfire quesadilla - 5/5 SO TENDER AND JUICY! Oh my goodness. It's like birria quesadillas without the au jus, what more could you ask for? The cheese was perfect, and the subtle hint of poblano provided the perfect balance in flavor Storm Mountain - 4.5/5 tasty cocktail, well balanced flavor. Honey basil syrup added a great hint of freshness and it wasn't overly sweet, which I enjoyed. The spirits are all made in-house, which is cool! A MUST TRY IF YOU'RE IN THE AREA! In the heart of Downtown Banff! The server was so sweet and kind. Walked us through the menu & options for their own distilled gin! We got a glass of mule & it was very very refreshing. The one pictured with fries is the Bison Burger. If you are a meat lover, I highly suggest! It has a bison AND beef patty!! Had to substitute the fires on the park burger for the smoked tomato chili vodka soup. It's like tomato bisque soup meets a bowl of chili! VERY DELICIOUS!!!!! read more
Called for a last minute reservation for a large group (10+). Opentable said there was no availability but they were able to accomodate when we called directly. Food was great and portions were generous. The bison burger was surprisingly moist and the blueberry aoli was delicious. Subbing the side included with the burger for the soup of the day is great to get a taste of the soup without getting a separate order of soup. Plus if you share with someone with their fries, the soup becomes a great dip. Also was able to pick up small bottles of their alcohols at a local liquor store and so far everything we've tried (rye, gin, coffee vodka) was smooth and easy to drink. Our group stayed for way longer than I thought we should but staff never rushed us out. Still continued to refill water and coffee even after we settled our bills. A little on the pricier side but I think it's starting to become standard for places like this and there's not as much competition in Banff either. read more
The Park Distillery & Restaurant, Banff - Wow, just wow. I have been lucky enough to have eaten at a lot of restaurants in tourist destinations across the continent, but The Park Distillery in Banff is among the very best of them. Great environment, excellent service (Thank You, Brooke, Super Job), clean washrooms, and a happy, positive vibe that made our entire party, including the kids, feel very welcome. And, what we really care about, the food, was outstanding. Usually, food at busy tourist destinations, like Banff certainly is, rates about a star. It makes sense, the tourists are one-and-gone, probably never to return. This is not the case at The Park Distillery. We ordered a variety of dishes ... Asada Torta, Bison Burgers, Kids Burger, BBQ Chicken Sandwiche, Hikers Greens, Truffle Fries, and Maple Corn Bread ... and it was all fantastic. We ate like kings. I highly recommend The Park Distillery & Restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Five-Stars, really ought to be more. I am looking forward to returning soon. read more

Friendly staff, very clean restaurant, they have indoor and outdoor seatings, dogs are welcomed to their outdoor seating areas. Ate here 4 times and all their main courses and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. read more

Susie our server went above and beyond to accommodate my cousin's extensive allergies. She went to the kitchen and figured out what contained his allergies and helped us figure what he would be able to have. Service was phenomenal! This was my second time coming here. I had rode from Canmore to banff and stopped by here for lunch and gotten the bison burger which came recommended. It was delicious! I had a pint of the sour and half pint of the ipa. Both were great. Later that evening I met up with my family and remembered the vegan options (for my uncle) and recommended we go here (I also was eyeing the Buddha bowl). Everyone was very happy with their order and their orders and enjoyed this place! read more

Saturday night - this place had an opening at 8 pm!!! Everywhere else 1 hour wait unless you had reservations. It's February- I think everyone eats out on Saturday. Place is still packed but lots of servers! Loud but not crazy. Full BAR! Bison burger lean, bbq sauce and thin onion rings on top- it was cooked well done/ as the way it comes- you do not get a choice like in USA. Also in USA one can drink at the bar casually-- in Canada- they are more civilized and required you to be seated by a hostess!! So do not be a crass American (like me) and hover around the locals at the bar -- you need to have a seat!!! Lesson learned-- there is a hostess who knows everything and you as a foreigner should be more informed. I don't get out much. Anyway/ I really enjoyed this place!! Fast food service/ excellent tasty burgers, fries, I also got dry rub wings and an ale beer on tap. Everyone friendly, smiles, and I love that they pay at the table and allow separate checks. read more

Fantastic food! Ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich and park veggie bowl and shared the two with my sister. Both were nice sizes and flavorful! Also shared a smoked s'mores and a flight of spirits with the table which we enjoyed Bonus- save your receipt for 10% off at the spirit store! read more

Best spontaneous dinner decision. We pulled in around 7PM to our camping spot for the night and decided to swing into Banff for some dinner. We were up for anything but couldn't help but notice the amazing reviews for this place. We got seated for 2 right away on their patio up top, looking over Banff from some bar-styled seating. Our server was super prompt and gave us great customer service and helped me decide on my drink. The "Sawback" was what I ended up getting, with chilli vodka, pineapple juice and I was worried it might be too spicy but it just had the slightest zing which made this drink delicious, super drinkable and refreshing. My boyfriend got the Wonderpass with passionfruit, gin, and more shaken with egg whites to have a very cute cocktail that was dangerously delicious. I could have drank those all night. For dinner we got the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and the Beef Dip. The Beef Dip was super unique with the spread of chimichurri inside. We subbed for a caesar salad and it was a great combo. I was a bit worried about the chicken sandwich - I'm always down for a deep fried chicken burger/sandwich but rotisserie chicken made me nervous. It was absolutely amazing though and I almost didn't want to share with my boyfriend. I got their fries and they tasted double deep fried (in a good way) covered in mostly salt but a touch of sweetness that made you wanting more! I literally stuck my finger in the remnants of the salty-sweet goodness and licked my finger. Would recommend for a great dinner with great drinks and a great atmosphere. read more
I visited the Park Distillery in Banff while I was on vacation in 2019 and this was one of my favorite restaurants during my visit. The decor inside was nice. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the Pappardelle pasta and it was absolutely delicious. If I ever visit Banff again, I will make sure that I come here again. read more

This 3 level distillery restaurant in the heart of downtown Banff was a very warm welcome to mine & my sister's first night ever in Banff! Let me tell you, everything is good here! We ordered their specialty drink called Mountain Joe Hard Coffee-Shaft which consists of their in house made vodka, cold brew coffee, & a splash of milk (cow or oat) this drink is a MUST order if you like coffee & it's now become my new favorite alcoholic beverage! I ordered their Caesar salad to start off with which was outstandingly delicious & I ordered the Seared BC Salmon which consisted of a Feta caper sauce, arugula & watermelon radish salad, warm potato salad! Out of this world delicious! The hostess that greeted us was upbeat, friendly, & bubbly & seated us right away after asking for our reservation. Our waitress was amazing, she was on the ball, friendly, & personable! The ambiance is dimly it with a chill cozy vibe with red lanterns suspended from the ceiling for an added rustic feel! You can't got wrong with anything you order here! Highly recommend! read more
Absolute favorite restaurant in downtown Banff! Walking by, we could tell this place was cool. The beautiful sign, fun outdoor patio and interior lighting screamed "casual, but quality" which was our overall vibe of the trip. Because there were only two of us, we were sat immediately both times we stopped in. Our servers both times were absolutely fantastic. For our first visit in, I got the Caesar salad with chicken and it rocked my world. It was truly the best Caesar salad I've ever had, as the sauce was the perfect ratio, the croutons fresh and the chicken just pulling apart so nicely. On our second visit, I wanted to order it again, but convinced myself to try something new. This second time I got the Park Burger with the "hiker greens" a salad that comes with trail mix and fruit on it and is also SO surprisingly delicious. It's clear here that the chefs are incredible and really understand flavor combinations because all of their unique concoctions and recipes really work! While this place is a distillery first and foremost, people of all ages are allowed to dine in. Also because it is a distillery, we had to order a few cocktails. I enjoyed the mule, and then when we were sat at the bar on our second visit, we had the pleasure of watching the bartenders in action. They were doing all sorts of fun things: setting cocktails on fire, smoking garnishes, filling jars with smoke for added flavor, etc. It was super entertaining, so if you're 21+, I recommend sitting bar side at least once! read more

We stopped in and grabbed a seat at the bar to try their distilled drinks, and we ended up staying for dinner. We tried three of their ryes- glacier, maple and reserve. They were okay, nothing memorable, but it was fun to try locally distilled spirits and chat with the bartender who was very knowledgeable and friendly. For food... We split the full rack of baby back ribs, fries and a tomato Burrata salad. It was good, but nothing super special. Very friendly and fast service at the bar and cool ambiance. read more
The food was amazing!!! The wings are probably the best wings I've ever had. Would go back just for the wings. I got the Beef Deep Dip and that was delicious! Especially with the dipping sauce. The Park Burger was also a good choice. Our server was super sweet, friendly, and helpful! The PTARMIGAN PEAK cocktail I got was light, refreshing, and good recommendations by our server. Hubby made reservations here and highly recommended as it is popular. He's a burger guy and thought the bison burger was very good but Over priced at $32. It came with option of a lot of fries or tomato vodka soup. They brought fries to the table and had to take it back to make the switch. I had a spoonful of tomato soup and tasted more vodka than soup. I guess you could call it a hot Bloody Mary. Not for me. My falafel salad was basically chickpeas served 3 ways. A salad with quinoa came with it in the bowl. The red hummus was very good. The falafel balls were dense and dry. I didn't like the fried individual chick peas - bland and don't expect it to be crispy. I did enjoy the salad greens portion. For $25, I wouldn't order or recommend. Hubby's peach ale was good. I couldn't taste the peach flavor. Staff was Ok. I noticed a couple of them were friendlier than others. . read more
First nights' dinner in Banff and it was everything we needed post long drives and hikes. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had & good fries. I was torn between 3 cocktails and was happy with the ptarmigan peak. The chickpeas in the veggie bowl completed it for me but also wish it had more greens. Quesadilla was good but some of the brisket was too fatty. Would come back again to try more cocktails and entrees! read more
Located in downtown Banff the Park Distillery is a must see restaurant. The two floor restaurant is big to allow proper social distancing. The decoration and the vibe of the restaurant is very modern and stylish. The service was relatively prompt but very quick, not much conversation. We ordered cocktails, the hummus appetizer and the vegan bowl. The drinks were delicious but a bit over priced. The hummus was lack luster and needed salt. The bowl was delicious but also missing some main factor. I guess it usually has an egg so without it the dish was a bit boring. Overall the food was good but definitely not worth the price. The service was decent but nothing worthy to mention. read more
This restaurant was probably one of my favourite during our weeklong trip. A reservation here is a must! I'm glad we visited outside of peak summer season. We arrived and were promptly lead to our table, walking past the waitlist crowd at the front. We sat indoors on the upper level where the weather was nice during Fall and the breeze flowed through the restaurant. We ordered a Cowboy cut ribeye (18oz bone in), HIkers Greens, Beetroot Hummus, Smoked Tomato Chili Vodka Soup, Sawback and a Forty Creek Confederation Oak as recommended.
