GS examined my computer virtually and told me that my computer and network were compromised. Their solution: install a subscription-based firewall that costs around $500 per year. Not fully bought into this diagnosis and solution, I took my computer to Best Buy/ Geek Squad on 23rd and 6th. That "geek" told me that my AC adapter is damaged and fried my battery. Solution? Buy a new computer altogether. Considering that my computer is only 9 months old...and wasn't cheap to begin with, I was reluctant to ditch it that easily. An online search led me to Super Computer Doctor (SCD), which was nearby and sounded promising. I reached out on a Saturday, when the shop is closed, but Lance responded and gave me basic info about how the service works, along with a payment link for the diagnostic fee. On Monday I dropped off my computer and waited... After running a battery of tests and optimizations, it turns out that 3rd party SOFTWARE, not viruses, were causing issues with my computer. The AC adapter (which my parrot damaged) may have damaged the battery...and motherboard, but we wouldn't know without additional testing. I immediately purchased and shipped new AC adapter and battery directly to Lance, keeping my fingers crossed. Fortunately, the new hardware, coupled with software cleanup, did the trick and my computer is good as new. I am THRILLED to have found Lance, the Super Computer Doctor! He is knowledgeable, service-oriented and communicative, keeping you informed every step of the way. Also, he doesn't try to "upsell" you things you don't need, like Geek Squad did...to the tune of thousands of dollars for a new computer, GS service plan and subscription-based firewall. Moving forward, Lance is my guy for anything technology related, and I'm thinking it may make sense to drop off my computer 1-2 times per year for regular maintenance. If you're looking for someone to resolve computer issues, run, don't walk to Super Computer Doctor! :-)

JED'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS A SERIOUS UPGRADE!!!!!…read more Called him to talk about my broken MacBook and he began with being receptive (first 30 seconds) but after just ONE minute he became dismissive and rude. When I told him I was hoping for a 1-day to 1 weekend turnaround. He said that I shouldn't worry about the turnaround time of a day or a weekends length since the MacBook had been broken for months anyway. He said I was being "ridiculous" in the most pompous tone he could muster. When I tried to explain that the SAME signs and issues had occurred a year and a half before and was fixed within 1.5 hrs at the Apple Genius Bar or that other techs had listened to me thoroughly and come to similar conclusions that it was in fact the operating system and could be handled within a day. He proceeded to say "Anyway!!!" in a very loud tone (I pulled the phone from my ear at that point) while I was talking, rudely interrupting me and then changing the subject. I looked down at my phone flabbergasted. I do not understand why Jed would think a new customer would EVER continue to use his services with an attitude like that. I disconnected the phone immediately. It lasted a mere 2 minutes!!! Whether my computer could be fixed in a day or a weekend or even a week, I'm open to it all, as long as the end result is a functioning MacBook. He didn't get a chance to know that because he was being obnoxious and unprofessional. As an elite yelper, I do my best to be as detailed and honest as possible. From my experience, I wouldn't even bother with paying for his services, customer service is of TOP PRIORITY and the way he spoke to me (in a mere 2 min phone call at that) was enough to make me disconnect the phone call right away. I've been in contact with a few techs (requesting estimated quotes and turn around times) and this was the ONLY negative incident. I'm still shaking my head at him calling me "ridiculous"!! The purpose of the phone call was to be consulted and informed. NOT disrespected and dismissed. I'm sure there will be a reply from this person. Not sure how they'll try to defend being so rude, but I'm sure an attempt will be made. Please feel free to message me privately for facts and truth.

Jed was knowledgable and responsive in a way I've rarely seen with any company. I texted Sam and he was at my house for pickup, with an accurate estimate in a couple of hours, on a Saturday. At first I was going to go to the computer repair place that my mother goes to but it was closed and had moved to a new location...lucky me. I heard about Cns Systems Inc ironically while I was searching through yelp lol. Anyway, I took my laptop to this place the owner immediately spotted the problem with my computer as a co-worker went to the back to check if he had a replacement 15.6 inch screen for my HP 2000 laptop. Good News they did and it was the last one. The guy gave me the price and it costed $125 that's not bad considering other places have charged more for a netbook. I leave my laptop to get fixed and 45 minutes later he calls me to tell me that he's done, so I return to the repair shop and check my computer before paying to see if the screen is good and that everything is working which it was and it's still working till this day as I'm typing this review. I gave it 5 stars because they did great job and I will definitely recommend this place to others.
