If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!!!! I went last week to get a screen fixed and started experiencing problems with the battery, and there was a line on the screen, and also my fingerprint detection wasn't working. Got a hold of a secretary to tell them I was unhappy with the work, and told me to text the person who fixed my phone. In which I did, and received THE WORST customer service ever. The technician cursed at me, and called me a "bit**" and a "fu** head". I understand mistakes happen when fixing phones, but I would never EVER EVER expect to be spoken in such a way. Save your money and PLEASE just get your phone fixed the correct way, because if your phone turns up to be defective, he will absolutely belittle you, and make you feel worthless. Yeah, he's a nice person as first, DONT let that fool you. Edit: This guy has the nerve to say I am competition. I left his number out of the images to be polite, as I have been NOTHING but polite to this man, and he continues to play his games. I have proof that the number on yelp is in fact the number that has been texting me. Do not trust this person with your device. He has the mouth of a sailor and as another reviewer stated, is far too busy worrying about who his next customer is, to focus on the job at hand. He set up a time to meet (he travels to you if you're in Manhattan) and was early for the appointment (yay!). We met at a public space (he has a sign on his bag, so very easy to spot) and he worked quickly and efficiently (about 15 minutes). THE BEST REPAIR IN THE SKETCHIEST PLACE! Snuck out over a lunch break to repair my banged-up soulmate and this was the cheapest and quickest recommendation from Yelp in the midtown vicinity. Make sure to call ahead, the repairman/lady does on-site repairs and may not always be around. Found the building in the heart of the diamond district and had to sign in at the front desk with an ID to get to the 8th floor. It gets stranger when you get up to the floor and it is literally littered with windowless, cramped office spaces in a slightly dilapidated floor that is silently buzzing with the mysterious activity of the jewelers that sit within. SUPER SKETCH. Repairs4Less itself shares an office space with 2 other offices, you open the front door and find 3 other doors in total DOORCEPTION, OFFICECEPTION process. In a room the size of NYC closet sits the loveliest iPhone repairwoman, who repairs my phone on site immediately in 20 minutes but takes an extra 10 to make sure that it snaps together properly. She even gives me her number and tells me I can come back if I have any issues, AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's been a month and, dare I say it, whatever replacement screen they gave me actually looks better than my old original Apple-manufactured one and works wonderfully. Gopal is a nice guy, wants to help and knows how to fix stuff, but he is pretty disorganized (when scheduling) and distracted (during the fixing process). He replaced my shattered screen, but a day later, my internal speaker stopped working. When I messaged him about it, he had forgotten who I was. Anyway, the next day, I went back to him, and this time, my sensor stopped working. During the repair process, his phone kept ringing and he kept texting; I would have preferred more attention to the task. When I asked him for a refund, he went off on a rant and was quite irrationally upset. I recommend someone else. In response to Gopal's comment -- I think it is perfectly normal and rational for me to go to someone else when your fix led to complications, not once, but twice. Further, having witnessed, first hand, just how divided your attention during the task is, I preferred going to someone who would focus singularly on my phone, and not attempt to multitask during the process. I can condone one mistake, but not two mistakes. Your phone is clearly ringing off the hook with repair jobs, but I though it would be appropriate to share my experience with the masses. read more
