12/28/18 I brought my apple watch series 1 to this store for an LCD screen repair. Before I drop off the watch, I showed Arsen the watch. We examined it to see if it be could be repaired. We tested out the touch screen (both soft and hard touch), it was still working 98%. It was a little slow. My watch was in his shop for 2 weeks. Arsen called me 1/4/19 to tell me there was a delay in the shipping. He called 1/8/19 to tell me they tried to replaced the screen twice and the motherboard would freeze. Going back to when I dropped it off. It was slow NOT freezing. He says to get the motherboard fix it would basically cost the price of getting a new watch. I said that's not an option. He says he will charge me $45 for the labor. I said, ok can I pick it up today(1/8/19). He said well we're still working on it. I'm thinking to myself Idk, anything about a motherboard. So what exactly are you working on? I brought my watch in 12/28/18. I get it, the holidays were around so a small delay in pick up. I called today (1/13/19)to pick up the watch. My watch is completely dead, lucky I have my charger to see exactly what's going on, but I'm already irritated because its taking a while to turn on. I pay Arsen $45 he hands me my watch and the screen is literally falling out. I said, "when I came in my screen was not falling out like that". You have to melt the adhesive and pry open the edges for it to lift. Please fix it how it was when i came in. He said, it was like that remember? No I dont sir I dont, and you know that. He said I will put some reinforcement on it to hold it in place. I said, please. Ok. I'm very soft spoken and respectful. So I appreciate the professionalism in handling my device to be handled with care. I said my watch broke last year. Yes, 2018.. a few months ago and it was very functional. I know the screen was cracked, but the handling of my device was just poor and distasteful. I didn't need two weeks for you to tell me it wasn't possible to fix. It looked the same when I gave it to you. You fix apples watches. I know you came across a cracked screen before. You could have easily said, this can not be fixed without changing the motherboard. It was such a waste of my time and I shelled out $45 just for you to basically insinuate that you "tried to fix it". Service not rendered. Make sure you know how your device functions before and after in any repair shop. Also, make sure they clarify what they CAN & CANNOT do, before you waste your time. Its like deep down he knew it couldn't have been fixed. I'm so sad. The screen won't stay in place. I legit want to cry. He knows and I know that it was NOT like that. So i cant use it‍. Side bar: At first he tried to charge me $150, but "forgot" he quoted me $100 over the phone. Then he said, oh.. ok. I remember. In general, I like to confirm quotes to make sure it's consistent when I arrive in person. read more

The original 'repair' left my screen hanging off the item, and all of the innards exposed to moisture-which crept in. Luckily , this place knew I needed more than the screen fixed and called me to see if I was interested in doing what was necessary to get my iPad 'back working'. I was and they were very polite and transparent about pricing and future protection. It's worth it to just get it done correctly the first time vs taking chances with services on sale . As I did with the first location . I was even asked when I wanted to pick up my item, when I replied 'asap', they had my item ready within two hours . My mother has been warning me for a year and a half that I need a case for my phone so I don't break it when I drop it. Well... I dropped it without a case on it and smashed both the screen and the digitizer underneath. After letting her give me the "I told you so" thoroughly, I got on Yelp and went looking for a repair place that could handle my OnePlus One. Arsen responded to my request for quote literally within 60 seconds of me sending it, and confirmed that he had the part for my phone. I paid about $130 including tax for the parts and labor, and it was done by the time I got back from my power lunch. He even had something nice to say about my choice of smartphone. How often do you get flattery along with prompt service? I wish I'd found these guys the first time. I shattered my phone and brought it to a place in the West Village that absolutely butchered the repair. Arsen and co. are the opposite of that and did amazing work putting it back together despite the other shop bending some of the interior parts. He even cleaned out what he could from Store That Shall Not Be Named's clumsy efforts at using krazy glue. Phone's not perfect now, but it's a million times better than it was. Excellent place. My Nexus 5 power button crapped out and I had it re-soldered in Toronto. The guy apparently did a bad job and it started malfunctioning again one week after the solder. Arsen replied to my request for quote on Yelp ($55) at midnight, and I dropped in the next day. He told me that he could try re-soldering the connections, but if that didn't work, he would have to replace the entire power button, which would require a higher-heat solder that had an 80% chance of damaging the WiFi antenna (which is very close to the power button). He said that if he tried the low-heat re-solder and it didn't work, he wouldn't charge me. Judging by the number of phone repair shops I reached out to on Yelp who were either unwilling to do this, or charged ridiculous fees ($65 - $85), this is apparently a task that requires some skill. I left my phone with him at about 11am. By 1pm Arsen had emailed me back to say that it was fixed, no need for high heat, WiFi still worked perfectly. He explained that the previous guys had used low-quality cheap soldiering material and had soldered the button on crookedly, leading it to short-circuiting. Three days in and my power button is still working perfectly. I am very happy. I loved his honesty and expertise. Would definitely come back here for any other needs. read more

I went to Joshiana Wireless after looking for reliable phone repair shops near my workplace, and I was not disappointed. Not only was the repair quick and easy, but the staff was exceptionally knowledgeable. It was almost as if he was the Sherlock Holmes of cellphones. I say this because he quickly realized that I had gone to another shop for a shattered screen and pointed out that I was sold a second-tier LCD and not the Samsung original for my S4. On top of which, the reason I came to him--a broken camera for the same device--was due to "mishandling" by my buddies over at the first shop. The guy knows his craft. Even though I aim to take care of my phone moving forward, if something does happen to it again, I'll be returning to this place. I've come to this place a few times already, and have not been disappointed one bit. The owner provided excellent customer service each time, going out of his way to make sure I was able to get what I was looking for. Most recently he walked me through purchasing a new iPhone 6 case which I was able to get for a great deal. He's also replaced my Fossil Watch Battery for cheap, and did it in a very timely fashion. Hello, first of all the price are the most correct I have seen. I was looking for a place who is able to fix my Nexus 5. And compare to Queens, Brooklyn, this place was the only that propose me a fair price. 50$ for changing power button of a phone, is really complicated, is not only changing a phone cracked screens. It's not something you could do, fur to the soldering equipment... I have been called when my phone was done and they did it fast in the afternoon! The work was really great but Google and LG don't produce phone but disposable smartphone. And they won't let you repair the phone without changing the motherboard. Arsen is the man. One of the most pleasant experiences I have had at ANY store in New York City. My fiancée had to get her iPhone 5 screen repaired and he said he would take care of it in the next 30 minutes. We went grocery shopping and came back 20 minutes later. It was already finished. Don't go here for unlocking services. I brought an iOS6 phone here to be unlocked a few weeks ago. He gave me a better price than other outlets, but also didn't seem to know what he was doing. He upgraded it to iOS7 (something I specifically said I didn't want done) and basically made the phone useless. I brought my Nexus 6 in because after a year of use, it was no longer charging. I reached out through yelp messages for a quote on repairing the charging port, and within an hour I got a quote from Arsen. I wasn't surprised when he told me my charging port was fried, the phone overheated constantly. But he agreed to service it and told me to come back in an hour, I went and had lunch, came back and like magic it was fixed! ...or so I thought. Later that evening it stopped working again. But he was completely honest with me before I left saying due to the extent of the damage it was a possibility it may be irreversible. I emailed him for advice after it stopped working again, and he invited me back in so he could take a second look. Just like the first time, he worked his magic and fixed it. I left with it working...but later that night it stopped charging again. In the end, my phone was a lost cause. Google did not aim high when they made the Nexus 6, and it was not built to last...but with that being said, if I ever have an issue with my NEW phone, I would gladly go back to Joshiana. TLDR: broken charging port fixed but needed to buy a compatible charging cable & no more turbo quick charge. My phone (moto Droid turbo 2) suddenly stopped charging. A quick yelp check and I decided to bring it here to have it fixed. In 24hrs, Arsen was able to fix my phone's charging port. In the store, he was able to show me that my phone can charge again. Yay! but, when I brought it home, the phone wouldn't charge on any of my chargers. I brought it back to the store & my phone charged on his demo wire but didn't charge on another wire. I came here today through a referral. My phone dropped on a cement floor at my hair salon and not only did the screen break a little, but no images, no touch screen, nothing! Well, this was a winner for me. I had an HTC Evo Shift 4G that had a really unique and seemingly intractable problem. It would not stay on for more than a minute. Think about that. It meant that I couldn't send or receive text messages and, in fact, I couldn't upgrade or change the phone either, because all of my stuff was on it, and I needed to get that stuff off in order to upgrade the phone. So I was in a Catch 22. And absolutely NO ONE would help me. My provider Sprint refused to help me. HTC, the manufacturer, was an idiot. They said they could help me and asked for an IMEI number, which is their current numbering system. I explained that the phone was made in 2011, before HTC had that numbering system. So they told me their system couldn't accommodate that and they couldn't help me. What unutterable numb-nuts. So I had no choice. I had to start pounding the pavements, looking for a needle in a haystack and trusting my luck to some fly-by-night unauthorized repair shop that would charge me an arm and a leg and then wouldn't fix it. First, I tried Best Buy. They couldn't help me and recommended some place, that, supposedly, was very toney and swanky, called The Device Shop. Well, that was a disaster. They took my phone, and refused to give me a receipt for it, saying they didn't do that unless they were able to fix it. With my heart in my mouth, I explained the problem to them, and let them have it for a few days. They called back saying "There are no parts for this." I replied "Forget the parts, fix what's there!" They told me they couldn't. They said they couldn't even turn it on. O.K., so now I'm getting real skeptical-like. I tell them I'll be by to pick up the phone. When I swung by to pick it up, they gave me a long speech about how the phone was hopeless and could not be fixed and needed new parts and blah, blah, blah, bs, bunkum, baloney, etc.etc. So then I went to Yelp, fully determined that if this didn't work out, I'd give up. There were three places that were close to me that had high Yelp ratings. I called the closest, Joshiana. The guy who answered seemed REALLY ON THE BALL. I can't put my finger on it, but I got these really good vibes, like the guy was being honest, and really knew what he was doing. Figuring it was all just a silly fantasy on my part, nevertheless I remained grimly optimistic as I walked into the shop and explained to Arsen (who apparently is very famous on Yelp) exactly what the problem was. Instead of hustling me out the door without giving me a chance to demonstrate the problem, he spent easily ten minutes with me, patiently watching and listening as I showed him exactly what was happening. And, by the way, the phone turned on right away, so screw you, Device Shop!!! He took the phone and agreed to take a look. Wonder of wonders, he gave me a receipt for the phone. What a concept! The very NEXT DAY he called me back saying the phone was fixed!! I went back to Joshiana, picked up my phone, and I was charged $25. No, not $250, $25. I came home, still not quite sure whether all of this was too good to be true, and then turned on the phone. It turned on, even though the battery in there only had a trickle of power left. I switched the phone to AC, fully expecting it to die again. It did not. I went through my entire settings for both of my email accounts, knowing I would need these when I finally upgraded to a phone from the 21st century, and wrote them all down in a text file on my computer. The phone held. I then attached it to my computer as a disk drive to suck off whatever other data I could before the phone would inevitably die. Except that it didn't, and I completed the transfer. I successfully detached the phone, and sorta looked at it, as it continued to function on this dying battery power. I thought to myself "I'm done; I've saved the email settings, I've copied all the files, I'm ready for Sprint to upgrade me and say good-bye to this dying dinosaur which has plagued my life for most of the Spring." This had been a nightmare, an unbelievable two-month nightmare. In 24 hours, Arsen ended the nightmare. What more can I say? These guys know what they're doing and they deliver. But then they wanted to charge me $80 for the back of my phone as well - it's cracked but I don't need or want that replaced. I asked when it could be done and they said by tomorrow, that's too long & too out the way for me to be without a phone.
