My daughters love their cakes. It's pricy at 7 dollars a slice but it's what you do as a dad right? Anycase we usually go to Paris baguette inside of Nile's hmart but on this particular day we were going pretty late and the selection was pretty barren. we decided to drive a full store and they had a full stock of cake by the slice selection. The shop attendant saw my little girls and took the time to talk them through the selections and make recommendation and then packaged each order individually and in their own carry bags so they can carry it with them in the car like it's their own personal treasure. It was a fun experience for them and it was great to see my 3 year old super excited pointing at the cake she wanted and going "I want this one" read more

I've visited this place for their grand opening because I've been waiting since I heard rumors about this bakery! I've tried a variety of different pastries and cakes. I haven't had a chance to try any of their drinks yet. I would give the pastries 5/5 because they seem to be freshly made daily right in the morning. However, the cakes have not been up to my expectations. I've bought 4 cakes from them already (picked up & by appointment). I've had other Korean bakery cakes and they're soft, fluffy, moist, and tastes light. However, the cakes here are more dry & buttery. It feels like any regular cake at an American bakery/grocery store. I'll still go here for the pastries but I think I'll pass on the cakes from now on. read more

We go to this location often. Delicious pastries. I give them that. They need to fine tune some areas and train some staff better, though. - Today (1/20/2024, Saturday), at the coffee making station, I saw the 2 medium cups for incoming an coffee order drop to the ground. The staff member (female, looks East Indian) picked it up and returned it to the counter to be used for the two incoming coffee orders being prepared. This is very unsanitary. She should have thrown away the cups that dropped to the ground and replaced it with new cups. - We were given our coffee order that was piping hot. I had to ask a staff member to provide us with sleeves. No stopper was provided either. Details like these should be taught to staff members. - Staff should be cleaning tables, floors, and the plate return/garbage can area constantly. In the several times that we have been there, I have seen a lot of sticky tables, and plate return/garbage can area that is not clean. - I have the app & I follow their Instagram account which sometimes advertises certain items and it says "pre-order on the app". I go to the app to pre-order from the Glenview, IL location and it says that the Glenview, IL location does not support pre-orders. Paris Baguette, you have great products already. Great baked goods, drinks and service. I've been to this location several times over the summer. I enjoyed going and people watching or taking a book and just relaxing with my croissant and coffee. The interior is always clean and crispy. Well organized. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends or family over a light breakfast or to do some solo studying while enjoying their drinks. I even ordered a birthday cake from here and it was absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming back soon. I highly recommend. read more

It was my second time going for bingsu because it was hot out and lemme just say, it was disappointing again. 1) strawberry bingsu- didn't have ingredients 2) had to just get the red bean one 3) 95% of it was cereal If I wanted cereal I would've just bought a box for $5 and not a bowl of it for $14. To start off, I love the pastries from this place, that's not the issue. The issue is the rude workers with the bad attitudes that talk about you right in front of you. Please keep it professional and at LEAST talk about customers when they're not around or in the back. Also I'm very disappointed with the drinks. I ordered two iced matcha lattes and they look like they're just straight up milk. I don't know what they put in these anymore but it definitely is not matcha, the drinks are INSANELY sweet and just taste like milk with sugar. read more

We bought some pastries 2 days ago. Unfortunately I was not able to try them the same day. I tried them for breakfast the next day however. All the dough was consistently the same. I love this place, they have great selection of baked goods to offer. It's also well maintained and most of all it isn't expensive at all. I wish I could give this no stars. It is ridiculous to call this place Paris Baguette. There are no baguettes or real french pastries anywhere! Most of the items are individually placed in plastic bags which look & taste like poor quality commercial junk. Putting any freshly baked items in plastic softens them & destroys the wonderful crisp exterior that comes from baking. Huge disappointment after driving by several times & finally stopping in when I needed a fresh baguette for a dinner party. It's a shame real bakeries are being replaced by inferior places like this. Nice change of pace as food options go. My favorite is the chocolate croissant, nice and light yet filled with tasty chocolate from end to end. Curry croquette was better than the seafood one. Good variety, great looking cakes that I have yet to try. Staff is nice, slightly pricey. read more

This new upscale Korean bakery is in the same strip mall as Joong Boo Market.  They have a large, open, and airy space for shoppers and diners-in for when that day will finally return to us.  The prices are on the high side and many of their pastry products are individually pre-packaged.  There were some pastries that were not, but this looked to only be about 25% of their pastry display inventory.  All of the products nonetheless looked beautiful and delicious.  We only picked up a small loaf (~ 14 oz) of milk bread for $4.79 on this first visit.  The same product is priced at about $4.50 at their direct competitor Tous Les Jours so their prices appear comparable/slightly higher just based on that little sampling anyway.  We'll likely be back for something sooner or later, and it's nice to have quality choices available in the neighborhood.  It's also nice to see this still new Korean strip mall start getting more fully occupied with tenants after many years of development. read more

I'm devastated. I grew up on Paris Baguette because I would eat it when I spent my summers in Korea. I loved it so much that I would even bring home a suitcase full of the pastries and freeze them to eat whenever I wanted. That being said, because I love Paris Baguette so much, it was supposed to be difficult to let me down. I was so ready to give 5 stars but I was severely disappointed with my experience. The store itself looks very pretty yet cramped and unorganized somehow. I think it was because of the big empty space in between the tables and the pastries just was a weird set up. We can blame that on covid though. Maybe they were trying to make space for the line, but it instead made the space to pick your pastries cramped. There was not one single polite employee. They were busy working, yes, but there was not a single greeting even when I made eye contact with a few of them. It seemed like they were trying to act really cool and like an "I don't care attitude" that was off-putting. It wasn't busy either. In the entire store there was about 7 or 8 customers, and they had way more employees, maybe like 15. What's so hard about a "hello" or "welcome" especially if you're looking straight at me. Or at least don't have a scowl on your face. As for the pastries, most looked very pretty but some looked so scrawny and disappointing. Anything that was like a bun or fancy pastry, I think they did very well in presentation but their more plain items like the twisted sugared donut and red bean donut ball was so sad looking. Consistency in quality seems to be a problem here. The cakes looked beautiful but other than their rainbow cakes, they are the same as the cakes from other Korean bakeries. As for taste, again, it was completely underwhelming. My crab cake croquette had almost no filling that I wondered if I grabbed one that was just bread and mayo. I'm serious, it was bread and mayo and 4 pieces of corn. The red bean donut ball was almost all air and grease and mushy in texture when it should be slightly crisp and chewy. The red bean bun was super bread-y and again lacking filling. Considering they are the more expensive Korean bakery currently, you'd think they wouldn't be so cheap with their fillings. The rest of their items I tried was basically the same where it was just completely lacking. I know it seems like I'm just ripping apart this Paris Baguette in my review so it's weird I didn't give them one star, but I did think they had some beautiful looking pastries and they have the most variety and options out of all the Korean bakeries. I really hope they step it up, because this store, in my opinion is not a good representation of Paris Baguette. I feel so disappointed. It's pretty bad if I feel like my frozen and defrosted months old pastries tasted better than these fresh ones. I feel like the other Korean bakeries are better for now, so if you're not looking just for the "name" or a specific item only sold here, just go elsewhere. Maybe I'll go back in a week or 2 in hopes this was just growing pains. But maybe not. I don't know. read more

I absolutely love their baked goods & I am a huge fan of their iced milk coffee. With that said, their customer service is terrible. My most recent visit, the older male cashier was very rude--he had the audacity to make fun of my order. For context, I live in Chicago and this place is a far drive but I love their goods so I am willing to make the drive on a weekend. As I mentioned, I enjoy their iced milk coffee and so does my fiancé, so I ordered two along with a bunch of pastries. However, he was not with me so I opted to get both drinks without ice. I understand that this request can be annoying but it's not like it's unheard of. I just didn't want the coffee to be diluted by the time I got back home. The cashier proceeded to scoff at and question me when I had made this request. Then not only that, he chidingly told his coworkers & emphasized the "no ice". THEN, they proceeded to make fun of it right in front of me. I was so in shock, I didn't even know what to say. And to top it off, as if they didn't spend a whole 3 minutes talking about my "no ice", he hands my drinks and again emphasizes the "no ice" part. DUDE! I get it, you thought I was being prissy for requesting that but in no way is it okay for you or your coworkers to talk so openly & rudely right in front of me. Needless to say, I am livid at the exchange & the staff needs to learn some freaking manners. read more

Great bakery and coffee bar. The pastries come in a lot of varieties that you don't see at other bakeries. The coffee is also fantastic. I've been hooked on the ice coffee with condensed milk. Prices are on the high side with the large iced coffee at $6 and most pastries around $3.50. Nice for an occasional treat but not daily. The space is huge and when indoor seating is allowed again, it will be a nice place to hang out. read more

I walked into Paris Baguette and thought I was inside tous les jours. Pretty much the same concept. This particular location is huge though. You have your usual expensive baked goods. The ham and cheese croissant was pretty good. I'm sure there are items you find that you won't find at tous les jours but this doesnt seem too different. You get sticker shock if you usually go to the chinese bakeries. We sampled a few items and nothing honestly stands out. The curry crabmeat bun was ok. Everything else was forgettable. Dropped by the west loop H-mart location and nothing really stood out again. Got a macaroon and it was disappointing. It tasted uncooked in the center. Some of the prices were mislabeled at the west loop location as well. The cakes look cool but I'm not sure I would pay those prices. This is a explore once in a while kind of place. You'll gain some weigh while your wallet loses some. read more

Paris Baguette is my absolute favorite bakery, and I am so glad it is finally in Chicagoland! The pastries, especially the ham and cheese croissant, are the best things I've ever tasted. They are flaky, buttery, and so fresh tasting. The cakes are light, not too sweet, and so beautifully decorated. I have been here 4 times since their opening and 2 of the 4 times they were pretty much wiped out and had very slim pickings. I understand why they're so popular, but it felt disappointing to make the trip all the way there only to see it almost cleared out in the middle of the day. It was my grandmas birthday and I was trying to find a location that had her favorite strawberry cheese cake, I hit the jackpot with this place!! I had my two kids in the car and during covid I didn't feel comfortable walking in with them. I was able to place my order over the phone, pull up, and they walked it right out to me. The place looks really nice inside and the staff were friendly. The food and the prices were where I felt it fell a bit short. I got two macaroons and the textures were not quite right and did not feel high quality given that they cost over $2 per macaroon. I also tried a slice of a strawberry shortcake as well as a small tiramisu. The tiramisu tasted great but the strawberry cake was not quite sweet enough and tasted a bit dull even though the texture was good. Both were roughly 6 dollars which was quite steep considering how small they were. I would consider coming again but would try different items. read more

Bought a cake for a birthday party and it was not like the one on display even though the person working there assured us it would be exactly the same. They brought it out already packaged when I paid for it so I didn't know what the cake actually looked like until I got home. One side of the cake has a smudge. There were other defects like the moose on top seemed flimsy compared to the one on display. The hole in the center of the cake also looks like it was semi-scooped out. The one on display had the center removed completely all the way to the bottom in an even and symmetrical way. The leaf garnish on top of the cake is also missing. The cake is also uneven and a little slanted. The whole cake just looks like it was not made well. I've included pictures of the cake I bought and the ones on display for comparison. I went back and asked to exchange it for another one. But the employee there said because I took it out of the store already they wouldn't exchange it. For a cake this expensive you expect it to look like the one they advertise especially when people working there assures you that it is. It's for someone's birthday so you also want a nice looking cake. I feel like it was a bait and switch with this place. With so many similar pastry places in the area I'd recommend going else where. At the least ask them to take out the cake so you can examine it before purchasing. Wish I'd done that. These people are unhelpful if there's a problem with your purchase. Their policy seems to be once you pay and exit the store it's no longer their problem. read more

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. We spent over $100 between a cake and other pastries. The pastries were decent as you can choose your own as you walk through the store, but the cakes leave little to be desired. We called ahead to order the classic Chocolate Cake for a birthday. When we went a couple days later to pick it up, they gave it to us already inside a cardboard cake box that was completely sealed. We trusted them and did not open the box to inspect the cake until it was time to serve it at home for a birthday party later that day. When we opened the box, we saw that the fruit on the top were spoiling, weeping, wilted, and there was moldly fuzz starting to form on the strawberries. The "Happy Birthday" chocolate piece on top was placed sideways and cracked the top of the chocolate coating of the cake. We had to try to fix everything before the birthday photos. The cake tasted good, but we had to take all the spoiling toppings off. Not the quality that you'd expect for paying that much for a smallish cake. We'll probably stick with the other Korean bakery (with locations in Vernon Hills and Glenview) in the future. Mochi donut is good, but greasy. read more
