I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing. My family and I stopped by on Saturday shortly before closing. As employees were already putting away the bread, I politely asked if I could grab a piece before everything was picked up. I was told that the bread was being moved to the front and that someone would assist me there. While I waited, two other groups entered after me. They heard the same information and ended up being helped before I was, despite the employees knowing that I had been waiting first. I politely asked twice for assistance and was told to continue waiting while the other groups were served. What made the situation more frustrating was that the customers ahead of me were taking a long time deciding what they wanted. I had already put on a plastic glove and was prepared to select my own bread, but I was told that wasn't necessary because an employee would help me. While waiting, I witnessed one of the teenagers from a group point directly at the bread, and another teenager pushed their hand into it. This happened in front of the employees, and no one addressed the situation or reminded them not to touch the food. As someone who was trying to follow proper sanitation practices, I found this very concerning. Not only did this happened once but 2,3 times infront of them. Yet nothing was addressed. After being ignored, waiting while others were served ahead of me, and seeing unsanitary behavior go unaddressed, I decided to leave without making a purchase. Great place for delicious cake! Parking can get a little bit crowded right in front of the store but if you don't mind walking the lot is larger in the back area. I ordered online for a 10:30 cake pickup but got a text that it was ready at 10am. We had the strawberry lychee cake which was nice and light and the favorite 'not too sweet'. We had a very nice visit to Tour Les Jours in Glenview, IL yesterday. We arrived about 3:30 PM on January 1, 2026 and it was crowded. There was a bit of a line to order and most of the seats were taken. We did find a table for four (there were five of us). They have extra seats stacked up by the trash bin so were able to seat all of us at the table. The extra chairs are a nice touch. We ordered a variety of drinks and pastries. (Sorry - I didn't take any pictures this time.) Since you select your pastries from display cases, we didn't have to wait for them. For our drinks, there was only a short wait - surprising since they were so crowded. Everything was delicious. When the location is full it can get pretty loud. We stayed for about 90 minutes and the place cleared out some by the time we left. The noise level dropped as people left. Tous Les Jours is very consistent across locations. This was our first visit to the Glenview store and we were very pleased. read more

This is one of the yummiest bakeries around! Tous Les Jours is a friendly Korean bakery with a lot of different flavors and selections. The chocolate and blueberry muffins are delicious. Well, pretty much all their pastries are delicious! The real gems are their cakes and the macarons, or at least in my opinion. All of the fruit based cakes are delicious, moist, and fresh. Our favorites are the Cloud Cake, Mango Cloud, Triple Chocolate Mousse, and Red Velvet. The cakes and desserts aren't super sweet like an English/American/European bakery. I also love their cup of cream puffs. They have mini-sized square desserts - tiramisu and strawberry cake, that's perfect for a small sharing (or not) dessert. They also serve hot and cold coffees and teas. My favorite go to is the Ube latte but I love anything Ube flavored. There's plenty of seating if you want to enjoy your pastries and drink in house. Depending on the time of day you can sit and do some work while people watching. The staff is always warm and welcoming. They're happy to help anyone with questions and make recommendations. This location gets pretty busy but they keep the shelves and bakery cases well stocked. read more

My go to place for cakes and make goods. You can always rely on them for having something worth snacking on. Recently I came after an event and they had their buy one get one promotion to get rid of pastries at the end of the day as they bake them fresh. We had treats for days. The staff recommended some ways to make the treats last long and how to experience it better as well. I do recommend in going earlier in the day, as you would for any bakery, as you'll find the breads more fresh and have more options to choose from. Just note that this place is a bit smaller, and it's a bit tight around the bakery area; there is an adjacent seating area, but the entrance/exit for that space is locked. I typically love tous les jours and am sad to be giving this location 2 stars. I was in the area and stopped here for dessert. Majority of their items were out and shelves were pretty bare. The group I was with decided on a few slices of cloud cakes, macaroons and some tea beverages. I'm typically a big fan of the cloud cakes however this time it was very disappointing. The texture of our slices were thawed/frozen. Every piece of it was a surprise - didn't know if I was getting a completely frozen bite or a somewhat thawed bite. Macaroons were also pretty stale. I bought a cinnamon roll cake from Tous Les Jours for a special occasion. This cake requires a tall box because a figurine goes on top, but they refused to provide one and instead packaged the cake and toy separately. It completely ruined the "special" feeling. I was on the hunt for baked goods the morning I dropped by Tous Les Jours. I walked in not really anticipating much more than the bakery being a chain of many around the country. First off, the ambiance was warm and toasty with an absolutely delectable presentation of baked goods from a variety of croissants, yuzu pies, breads, danishes, and pastries. You self-serve from the selection behind the glass- you take a tray and pick up your favorites. I picked up a vanilla latte which was a good pick-me-up, nothing too special about the drink here. The people that worked here had helped me select my few to go. Pain au chocolat: 4/5 - I'm a fiend for these. When I saw my chance to grab one, I did. The flakiness of the croissant, the way the chocolate slips through layers made it almost perfect. The eggwash, though was a little too much with the flavors of the pastry and chocolate. Fruit pastry: 5/5 - I have no words. This was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Slapped so hard. Milk cornet: 4.5/5 - The way they sprinkled on hard sugar, the milk buttercream filling was a perfect dollop in the crunchy shell. I had to dock my 0.5 here for how hard I felt like the cornet shell was. Def would swing by again! read more

This Asian French bakery is so inviting--you select a tray and tongs then stack it high with inviting pastries--sweet and savory croissants, chocolate-filled cornets, pizzas, strawberry or banana or Ube breads, tarts, cookies, croquettes.... There's a chilled bakery case with cake slices, decorated whole cakes and a rainbow of macaron flavors and shapes. A refrigerator case has packaged sandwiches, mini soufflé cakes, drinks. There are also hot and cold drinks. On the other side of the register is a room with small cafe tables. It's filled this afternoon with customers enjoying lattes and pastries. It's a little daunting making your selections. Because you want it all! Those chocolate avalanches look so good, as do the spinach feta danish and the sesame donut. Come here for the desserts, pastries, and treats, not for the drinks. Horrible customer service and drinks. Pastries you don't deal with them cause you grab them yourself. I got a hot Americano with a bit of almond milk on top, iced chocolate milk, and an ube strawberry latter and asked if I they can make it into a matcha instead. The cashier proceeded to say yes and ring it up for me and spoke to the baristas for what I assume was my matcha drink. I looked at the receipt and saw the Americano had oatmilk instead, that's fine mistakes happened before the barista made the drink I asked if it can be with almond milk instead and she wrote it on her paper. When I got the drinks the Americano then came out iced, told them hey this was supposed to be hot they asked if I was sure and asked for the receipt, it says hot. They snatched it without another word. By now this is 2 mistakes and I can tell the baristas were very annoyed. Fine bad day, my drink came out and it came out as a latte not matcha however I didn't want to cause any more trouble so I looked at the receipt and it said nothing about my matcha on it, so I took the latte. It tased like ube milk there was no espresso flavor in it. I went back and asked if they could add another shot it just was a bit too sweet to balance it out. They proceeded to tell me that's just how it is and try to explain again that okay hey just need something to balance out, so I asked how many shots are in the latte they told me 1 shot for 16 ounces, most places do 2-4. She proceeded to have an ego and asked what was I expecting and told me it $1.10 for another shot. In which I told her like okay now I'm confused cause truthfully I asked for a matcha and now when you messed my order up 3 times now I have to pay again. In which she said yes. And asked why I even grabbed the drink if it wasn't right. Guess I'm too nice, I should have asked for a refund as we had to throw the Americano away as it was too watered down and my mom that can only have almond milk had an allergic reaction so I don't even trust they put almond milk. I tried it just to see how bad and it tasted like it had only 1-2 shots when it should be 3-4. Horrible customer service and drinks, very disappointed. read more

I love that this establishment was across from our hotel. So we grabbed a few sweets for the road. We went at 9AM. There was an indecisive woman who was in front of us grabbing items with her bare hands and a half-asleep gentleman sitting in the dining room with a cup of coffee in front of him. Employees were no where to be seen. The establishment was clean and the cases were full. Their pricing was well displayed. I love Asian / French bakeries! This establishment has a good variety of sweet and savory baked goods. They have premade cakes, loaves of bread, croissants, and custom drinks. This was my first experience at Tous Les Jours. I absolutely love their ube cream buns. The cream was well-balanced and not so sweet. The bun is soft and pillowy. I also enjoyed their sausage buns but I felt it was a tad salty for me. The coffee was a bit watered down for my liking. As a person who normally goes to 85C bakery, this place cannot touch their variety and quality. Prices were not horrible. Each item was less than $6 or so. The person who rung us up didn't seem like he wanted to be there. He had a frown and kind of sigh when he had to wrap all of our things to go. Worst online ordering experience ever. I placed an online order on Saturday for a birthday cake to be picked up late Sunday afternoon. I called the store to confirm the order and could not reach anyone or a voice mailbox. Half hour before my requested pickup time, I got a text saying my order being canceled because the store was not able to fulfill my order which was place one day ago. I called right away after I got the text and had no luck reaching anyone. I was very disappointed and upset and had to scramble to get another cake from Whole Foods. Can't believe I've gone this long without leaving a Yelp review for this place. Been coming here for years and they always have something I want! The go-to items are usually the individually wrapped milk buns, the yuzu pie, a sweet croissant, foliage sausage bread, and at least 1-2 croquettes. Yeah, I know that's already a lot! I'd say that they have the best croquettes in the area too. The only time I've been disappointed are when I go too late and there aren't many choices left, but even then I'm able to find something I want! I usually grab them to go, but I've dined in a few times and the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing so it's great for work or studying. We've also ordered cakes from here multiple times - usually a sweet potato cake or one of their cloud cakes - and our family loves them! They're usually requested by name from one of our parents. I can't really comment on the drinks, however. The one time I did order a drink was years ago and it was average, but because it's been so long I won't factor that into my rating. Might just have to order one next time I'm there (which will probably be very soon). read more
