The prices were steep, but the service, ambiance, and dessert were excellent. If you've had a long day and need a quiet spot for quality delicacies, this cozy corner café is the place--so long as you don't mind paying a bit more for top-notch baked goods. My only reason for deducting a star is the high price, but it's justified--the coffee and baked goods are truly next-level, crafted in authentic French style.

I ordered the potato leek soup and a ham and cheese quiche. My friend ordered the broccoli delights Ham and cheese quiche was my least favorite. Tasted like something I could get at Starbucks. The rest was delicious.

I had tried (and loved) St Roger items at the Chicago Kristkindlmarkt, but this was my first visit to their Wilmette outpost. It's a small, sunny bakery packed with all kinds of delicious, organic French specialties. Breads, viennoiseries, tarts, gorgeous pastries and so much more are on offer at reasonable prices. The sisters support their order by selling their products all of which are made at their sustainable farm in Gays Mills. This store has seasonal produce, jams, eggs and even some heritage ducks ready to roast. Plan to grab a light meal - sandwiches, homemade soup and salads are available. I had a Petit Lorraine which gave me a tasty ham/cheese quiche, a Carmel-y crisp Palmier and a drink. All delicious, all high quality. The Sisters have a beautiful wine list to accompany your meal. If you want something special, you can order ahead and they'll have it waiting for you. I went with my mom and sister and we bought a shameful amount of treats to take home. My personal recommends: any/all cookies, gorgeous fruit tarts and perfect quiches. The sisters working are all from France and are as sweet as the items they sell. Definitely worth a trip.

I stopped by here after church on a Sunday morning for some coffee and pastries. I asked if I could purchase the beignets individually and was told they were only sold by the dozen, but not to worry, they would not last, lol. She wasn't wrong! The beignets are soft and pillowy and covered in sugar. So good! I ordered a hot coffee with a broccoli quiche, and we enjoyed our snack outside on the cozy tables.

Everything about this place has the charm of a Parisian Café. The nuns are so kind and genuine, and the food has subtly and refinement in flavor. Every item is made with quality and dedication. Having tried many things on the menu I cannot overstate that you must try this place.

Adorable coffee shop. The nuns are so nice and the atmosphere is just so happy. I love the fact that most items are organic, that's extremely rare for any establishment. My cafe au lait with oat milk was delicious, and so was the berry tart. The fruit on top was super fresh tasting, and the custard and crust were perfect. I wish this was closer to me because I would go all the time!!

Fantastique, on se transporte en France. I haven't had a croissant like this since visiting country patisseries that don't cut corners. Everything organic and made by hand right here. Eclairs also excellent.. coffee, too. Cannot possibly over-recommend!

Makes me want to move to the North Shore. Everything was fresh and the service heavenly. The place is clean and you can sit inside or outside. The pumpkin tart and almond croissant are highly recommended. We also drank coffe which was delicious. One of the nuns told us it was from Guatamala. All the products are organic from there location in Marango, IL. I also bought a dozen eggs which they said are from their Wisconsin farm. It's worth a drive from the city! Go there, you will enjoy every calorie in good health and good spirits!

On a Sunday morning while craving a chocolate croissant, I found St. Rogers Abbey on Yelp and came to the conclusion that if I bought baked goods from nuns it would make up for the fact that I wasn't going to church. Excited to be rid of the weekly guilt that is the decision to not go to church and eager to try the croissant, I hopped in the car. In downtown Wilmette, St. Roger's was easy to spot as it was the only place open and a nun was sweeping the sidewalk. Inside, the place has an antique feel and the nuns were welcoming. It's not a place I would linger for coffee but that's okay because all I wanted was to order my croissant and go. At the register, the nun asked if I wanted anything else, and a wave of catholic guilt overcame me and pressured me to buy a loaf of bread too. Had I not bought it, I would have given the place 5 stars because the croissant was one of the best I have ever had. However, I also had the bread and it did not taste right. Go for the pastries, but sadly I cannot recommend this as a one-stop shop for all your baked good needs.

Sireen's Instagram shows off her many artistic talents. She was recommended to us by our party planner, Alina Tariq, and by others. She has very unique flavor options (pistachio rose, Ferrero Rocher, pina colada, Kashmiri chai, caramel machiato, almond coffee toffee, and numerous others) for cake flavors. She works with the family to come up with the perfect design for the cake and the theme of the wedding. She offered sample tastings, and it was tough to narrow down to the number of tiers we had because we liked way more flavors than the tiers we were having. Sireen's cake was perfect for the wedding. It was as if our decorator made it. Everything matched the mood of the wedding so well, and it was also set up on time (at the last couple of weddings we attended, the baker was still setting up the cake during cocktails). Many of our guests and family members complimented the cake's taste and flavors. Unfortunately, I did not get to taste any during the wedding since we were so busy hosting. We did order an additional cake right after the wedding for my husband's 50th. I requested a new cake flavor: banana pudding! It was a hit, and I got to eat it this time too! The cake was decorated perfectly and tasted great (moist and not overly sweet). Sireen is really easy to work with and caters to your needs. She offers many other bakery items for parties as well. I look forward to working with her again for future parties, and you should too!

Let me start off by saying that it all starts with heart and dedication and this is clear by the way you are offered hospitality and courtesy. Sireen is a dedicated baker in her craft, making each and every macaroon with precision and perfection. Now to get into the macaroon itself: The colors are beautiful, from a wide variety of pink, purple, aqua and many more. The cream inside was very light and airy, very rich in cream and less scented artificial tastes. I have to say the choice in flavors is also amazing, there is paan, malai kufti, nutella, pistachio, and many more and each one tasted just as it should. To add on to this, they were delicate but not to the point where they fall apart when you are holding one but they melt in your mouth. You got to check her out, she is doing amazing and they taste phenomenal

Not to be confused with the coconut pastry spelled macaroons, these are French macarons that are made from egg whites and almond powder where the outside is flaky and the inside is chewy. For a $1.50 each, they are priced right where you would expect to pay anywhere else for a macaron. After first glance, I immediately noticed that these were significantly larger than most macarons. Whoever said too much of a good thing is definitely not a foodie. With macarons, size does matter and I was enjoying each additional bite. I ordered 10 of their pistachio and they were all gone within the hour. I appreciated that each was individually wrapped - almost as if it was your own personal delight. What surprised me the most was the follow up. I initially emailed them asking if they were coming to the Merchandise Mart area when they first launched and I received an email on Friday stating that they were outside of my work. Not only did they remember to come to the area but they also emailed me letting me know that they were here. Thank you, Sweet Spot! Want them to come to your area?
