Delicious coffee, state of the art espresso machine, lovely Euro interior, a copy of the NYT for me (those of you younger than 45 might not know what I'm talking about or why I would want one in a coffee shop), amd two talented barisitas who don't want to know my name or want to write on my cup. In fact, no disposable containers for ordering in! The chocolate is magnificent. Its not cheap but it's not much more than SBs. Be careful of the construction in front.

I've driven by here so many times and always thought it looked super cute, but have never gone in -- until now! It's darling. I met a friend here who I hadn't seen in awhile between Christmas and New Years. We got there right when they opened and we were the only folks there, but within an hour the place was jam packed. It's very cute inside (and festive) and my friend loved her quiche. I ordered a peppermint hot chocolate and it was divine. The staff was helpful, too, and service was great. It is a little pricey ($6 after tax for a small hot chocolate), so I wouldn't come here all the time, or at least not for "fancy" drinks. They do have brewed coffee for like $3 I think, which I'd love to try. But, I will definitely be back when I'm looking for a place to catch up with a friend. Metered street parking is available or you may be able to snag a spot on a residential street if you're willing to drive a bit to find a spot -- just be aware of street parking restrictions (some areas are permit only for a few hours in the morning and of course street cleaning/snow restrictions).

Came here during a trip to Evanston IL. Ordered the Croque Madame crepe, which was delish! It had ham, Gruyère, béchamel, and ofc, an egg on top. My dining partner got their seasonal turkey and cranberry crepe, which was also excellent. They have a great selection of breakfast pastries, coffee drinks, and chocolates as well. There is a yelp check in offer for a latte and butter croissant for $6. Only gripe is that they seemed short-staffed, as the tables weren't wiped clean between clients. Overall, it's a charming cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as street parking a few blocks north.

Crepes, Belgian Chocolate and more! Delicious!

Tasty crepes, delicious chocolates, flaky pastries! Very cozy French Bistro! They also make a delightful Mexican Hot Chocolate with Oatmilk which is perfect for me!

I love Leonidas. The food is phenomenal and the staff is so nice. The place is small, but so cute. You feel transported out of Evanston. My lattes are always flavorful and warm, and the crepes are phenomenal. Whether savory or sweet, their always filled up and delicious. The staff doesn't skimp out on ingredients and I always leave happy. (from @tastessky on Instagram)

Waste of money. Service slow, food not so good. Very disappointed, was excited to try a new place out with the kids.

Had gluten free savory crepes for lunch. They were delicious. The restaurant is cozy and surprisingly busy on a weekday mid-afternoon.

We had a dedicated server who was kind, friendly, and young -- and her slight lack of experience only added to the charm. It felt human, unpolished in the best way, and refreshingly sincere. The classic three-tier stand delivered a joyful tasting journey: savory finger sandwiches, lovely cakes and sweets (including their excellent macarons and madeleines), plus warm buttery scones and tasty mini quiches served separately. It was a cornucopia of small delights; generous, comforting, and clearly made with care. The tea selection is also wonderful and thoughtfully curated. What truly stood out, though, was the lack of pomposity. No stiffness, no theatrics, just good food, good tea, and a feeling that you've been welcomed into someone's home. Easily one of the best high tea experiences in the Chicago area. Lovely, cozy, and full of heart.

It's small and sweetly decorated (Eiffel Towers, rolling pins, Guy de Maupassant quote, stack of macarons tower), with cafe tables along the sidewalk. But it's the bakery cases that draw the eye, of course. A rainbow of macarons, stacks of croissants. Pastries like jewels. I ordered a tomato, basil & mozzarella quiche. They let me know it would take a few minutes to heat up. I also ordered a cafe au lait and almond croissant. The croissant was very large, a little more crispy than I like, and filled with a liquidy almond, not paste. It was very good, although not the best croissant I've had. The quiche was marvelous, soft and delicate, and basil scented with a flaky crust. It was not overly cheesy -- just the right amount. I ordered a slice of salmon quiche to go. I also selected a half-dozen macarons to take away. They were delicate, with a slightly crunchy outer layer and a sweet and flavorful center. I loved the Coralie Coffee flavor as well as the rest.

Now they took their tap room and more than doubled its size. So glad to see that they're doing well, especially with the loss of Temperance. I hadn't been here in a while, mostly because parking is more challenging here than it was at Temperance or at Sketchbook's Skokie location, and I don't live anywhere near public transit that would get me to this location. But, the week of Thanksgiving one of my neighbors wanted to come here for Irish music night, so we got a group together and came over. It was super chill (they were playing in the background rather than performing a show), and it was perfect for a Tuesday night on a short work week. I also love that they have other events for the community, as I saw that they were doing a drag show that weekend (sadly I didn't make it out for that. I'm sure it would've been awesome). Obviously, the beer is great, as I've mentioned in my previous reviews of both locations. I also like that they carry some NA options, as well as their own hop water (which I haven't tried because I'm not a huge hops gal, but I'm intrigued). I'll definitely be back, and if I lived within walking distance I would be here all the time. The vibes are immaculate, as the youth would say.

I know from him that Sketchbookhas an excellent reputation as a brewery. My flight selections weren't bad, but didn't wow me. My favorites were the kiwi-strawberry sour and the Mexican Hot CoCo - a barrel aged choice that leans sweet so I can only have a little. The guest cider was also great. The grapefruit raddler wasn't my favorite; it felt a bit weak. Based on vibe and wide selection, I'd definitely return to see what's on tap next time!

My first thought was, "This is like Chipotle, if Chipotle was actually good," and I'm sticking with that. Perhaps that can be the new slogan for Guzman y Gomez. Run with it, put it on your bags and cups, just make sure to pay me back in free burritos. It's not exactly the same model as Chipotle. You don't watch the magic happen, so there's no opportunity to request a little more of this or a bit less of that. But the staff here are so eager to please, I always find I get exactly what I was looking for anyway. If you need a little more of anything, just ask, and they're happy to oblige. Plus, this place has so many more options than Chipotle, it's crazy. Better food, better atmosphere, just better overall. During my first visit, I had the pleasure of chatting with one of the chefs, Dustin, and I could hear the passion for cooking in how he spoke about this role here. He broke down all their vegan options for me and made sure my first burrito was an absolute hit. It's probably that first visit that got me hooked, so G y G is lucky to have a guy like him. Two vegan mayos, chipotle or herb, both delicious. Pulled shiitake mushroom, seasoned beautifully and cooked to order. Perfectly cooked rice, yummy fajita veggies, salsa options galore, it was all spot on. Super authentic Mexican? No, but that's ok. "Inspired by authentic Mexican food" is fine by me. And how'd they manage to get so many friendly employees? I've been here a half a dozen times, and everyone is so damn chipper and happy to help. Plus, the music is upbeat and fun, not some dreary corporate playlist. I actually *want* to eat in, which I rarely look forward to in a fast food spot. I'm loving it. There are times when you just need something satisfying and fast that doesn't break the bank. This place brings that energy via fresh ingredients prepared with expertise. Plus, as I said, Chipotle is garbage. I'm glad Guzman y Gomez decided to pop up in Evanston.
