I was excited to go to Paris Baguette in Boston since I've been to locations in New York, Philly and Orlando. This location one is inside a H Mart. I ordered a Strawberry Smoothie and Croissant Donuts. I spent like $18 total. $5.39 per donut and $6.49 for the smoothie. The smoothie was really good. The Croissant Donuts were burnt on the bottom and you could taste it on both of them. The Croissant Donut is my favorite pastry to order. There was plenty of seating. The service was good. This location on Mass Ave is inside H Mart and super cool. Lots of desserts , healthy snacks , hot and cold coffee and smoothies ! Our only complaint was that the croissant donuts were burnt on the bottom and you could taste it on both of them which sucks because those are our favorite. I bought a whipped cream cake at 12:08 p.m. on February 7 in Cambridge. The Asian male server gave me the wrong cake, so I had to pay extra to exchange it. However, the Asian male server grabbed the whipped cream cake with his bare hand. Concerned that it might get damaged, I handed it to his and asked his not to touch it with his hands, but he ignored me and kept touching it. I had to ask another female spanish server not to handle the cake with her hands, repeating my request. Instead of understanding my concern, the female servers stared at me as a group and said, "Why is there a problem when there's a film on the cake?" Then, one of them deliberately grabbed the cake with her hand again and handed it to me. I paid more than $9 for a small piece of cake, and the heat from their hands could have melted the whipped cream or altered its shape. I don't understand why they became angry at me when I was simply making a reasonable request. The employees are very unfriendly, unprofessional, and unsanitary. read more

Their Halloween cakes ranged around $44-50, a fair price for the quality. The cake was chocolate and soft. The chocolate on top and fruit were a little hard but it's understandable. With three layers of chocolate chiffon filled with chocolate soft cream, chocolate ganache, and crisp chocolate, the Chocoholic Chiffon cake was a chocolate lover's dream - just chocolate on top of chocolate on top of chocolate. With your mouth coated, saturated and swimming in chocolate, it was not too sweet at all and presented an overall balanced chocolatiness! A three layer green tea cake with whipped cream filling and strawberries, the Green Tea Strawberry cake was a great contrast to the Chocoholic Chiffon with the freshness and bite of the strawberries, fluffiness of the whipped cream filling and floral and slightly bitter green tea that held everything together. As a bonus, you'll get a plastic cake cutter which doubles as a server that can be washed and used in the future for your next parties! Also, inside the cake cutter/server are a couple of matches. This place sells the best Mochi donuts I've tried in North America. I've never found any other Mochi donut that tasted exactly like it should until I tried the one here. It was crispy on the outside and the perfect amount of chewy on the inside. The chocolate on the outside is also not too hard or thick. Although the fried crab meat bread was too oily for me. I thought the outside would be very crispy, but it wasn't crispy - it could be bc I didn't eat it right away. Can't wait to try more of their bread. read more

The store is right next to the exit of Central Square red line subway, so it's a convenient place that you can stop on your commute. I've probably tried 10+ things from breads to cakes and honestly I haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy at all. Just as one can expect from Asian bakeries, most of the items are light (some items look a bit oily out of a fryer though!), not too sweet and surprisingly light in calories (either that...or they understate their calories listed on their pastries' name tags!!..hope not though!!). What I also love is that the pastries here look clean and the prices are reasonable. Not as cheap as bakeries in Chinatown but not expensive at all (a piece of bread is around $2-$3, a loaf of bread is around $5-$6, a piece of cake is $5-$6 and a whole cake is ~$35-40). Pros: -Beautiful pastries (sweet & savory) -Their croissant donut is a must-try -Calorie information in the display case -Top sellers identified in the display case Cons: -Pricey -- Total $7.05 for both Croissant Donut Lemon iced, vanilla cream filled croissant in the shape of a donut. I've had the original Cronut in NYC and this is FAR superior. While Dominique Ansel's version was oily and overly chewy, this croissant donut was less oily and much softer--buttery and doughy inside and crispy on the outside. A textural masterpiece. The cream inside is not overly strong, which balances with the hint of lemon from the small amount of icing on the top. I'm not a huge lemon fan, but if this is the only flavor it's still well worth getting. Creme Brulee Bombolone Yeast donut filled with a light custard and topped with caramelized sugar. The make or break question is whether the top would be crunchy a la an actual Creme Brulee or chewy and disappointing--this was kind of in between (some bites had a crunch while others did not). To be fair, it had been sitting in the car for a few hours before we had a chance to try it which probably did not help. The cream inside was cool, refreshing, and not too rich. The actual yeast dough wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. Overall, a solid donut that I might purchase again if they were out of the Croissant Donut. read more

The vanity booths with glossy white tables makes this place look elegant and there are plenty of steel seats for a more casual feel. To the right end of the display where all of the baked goods are lined up and ready to go, that's where the trays and tongs are located. You'll have to work your way up to the register so make sure you have some self-restraint because it can get a little pricey when you fill up that tray with all of those desserts! Curry Croquette- One of my co-workers brought this in for me to try and I had to hunt it down the next day because I wanted more. Lightly fried breadcrumbs roll with savory curry, yes please! Blueberry Chiffon Cake- Very moist, airy and had fresh round berries between the layers and on top with a light cream frosting. Milk Tea w/ Boba- Sweet and silky. I am in love with the flavor of black tea from here. Overall Service: I've been here a couple of times when the team in the back did not restock the trays and tongs fast enough to the point where customers grabbing the fresh baked goods with their hands.
