From the the person who took our reservation to our arrival and brief stop at the bar before our table was ready, my wife and I enjoyed one of the nicest "nights out" in many years. The bar smelled great with the fragrance of basil. The bartender was so nice, and so competent. Our server, Taylor, was awesome, as was the rest of the wait-staff. Extremely personable, and knowledgable about the menu. She capably advised us about about our dining choices. The food was some of the best we've had....my wife appreciates a good pork chop, and she said this was the best! The chef is a real rock star. This place consistency serves some of the best dishes on the northshore. Service is consistently professional and super friendly. We always feel like regulars when in fact we are not, I wish I could afford to be. The prices are what you would expect for this caliber of restaurant. We went for our friends birthday and were greeted immediately by our wonderful server Briana. She was insightful and super kind. She made us feel very welcomed and that she wanted us to have an amazing experience, which we did. We wanted to split things up on the menu so all could try different things on the menu and the restaurant went out of their way to make it happen. The food was unbelievable and rich with flavors. We had the opportunity to meet the chef who kindly explained the way he prepared the dishes, making it the full experience. We enjoyed our wonderful meal together in the best setting possible to catch up with each other and relax. The service and the wonderful meal made the price worth it. Why have I never heard of this place? I was driving while hungry and ran upon this place for lunch. It ended up being a very pleasant surprise! Valet parking was an option, but there was ample self parking during my visit. However, I can imagine parking being more challenging on a Friday or Saturday evening. The staff were exceptional and kept the complimentary warm ciabatta bread coming. It was accompanied with a nice olive oil, garlic and tomato mixture. Since we were so hungry, we started with a crab cake appetizer. It was delicious! I ordered the redfish topped which was topped with crab. It came with the most amazing creamed spinach I've ever tasted. I also had the garden salad with blue cheese dressing...it was great! I love blue cheese and they were very generous with it. The other guest had the steak tips with potatoes, mushrooms and onion rings. It had great flavor! I don't go to the Northshore often, but I will definitely be returning here. Great food, great service... UNTIL I got in my brand new 5 day-old car and saw what the valet had tracked in. And he didn't even care to mention the mess he had made. Maybe invest in some disposable floor mats. This experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth. read more

What an amazing place! Went with a few friends and had such a great time. We were passing through the town and this spot was one of our Must-dos recommended to us by a friend! The service staff was so friendly. Our Server Breonna was kind and patient with us as we searched through the menu and gave us aspen great recommendations. We had the Seafood Parfait and the Ricotta Gnocchi as appetizers and they were so tasty. For our entrees we had the Pardos Filet and the Spinach Salad. Both were huge potion sizes and packed full of flavor! We also order a side of truffle fries for the table, and it was huge AND so delicious. We couldn't stop eating them! We enjoyed our evening here, good food, nice atmosphere and attentive wait staff. With that said we are not sure we will return. I order the double pork chop and it was cooked perfectly and served over what appeared to be polenta. My wife had risotto & mushrooms and it was also cooked very well. The thing that that threw us off was the limited menu and prices. They were not very reasonable for the portion of food served. I was wanting to try the strip steak but at $60 bucks I passed and settled in on the $35 pork chop. I don't even pay that much for a steak at Bern's in Tampa. But if you are looking for a nice evening and don't mind dropping a couple hundred bucks on dinner, drinks and desert it is worth a visit. read more

The truth is the place looks great and things started off great last Saturday. We ate at the bar and LOVED the guy and girl (tattoo arms). She was very friendly and did everything to make our experience perfect. But about an hour into the evening another girl shows up. I believe she is a manager. This girl was SO RUDE AND CONDESCENDING to the 2 bartenders we just couldn't believe it. I would HATE to have to work under her. And it was clear they felt the same. Of course things got worse. One plate came out luke warm at best. We sent it back and then the potatoes were hard as a rock. We ordered the Bananas Foster for desert and it was extremely disappointing. You guys have a great looking place but if you don't fix the people issues (which might be your managers themselves) and serve consistent food I will not come back. You will get 1 more try. Have made two trips to the new place in the same week. My husband and I had lunch and we had a birthday dinner there as well. The food is good and similar to the previous restaurant and wine list is adequate. The tuna and crab is simply wonderful, however the tuna tartar is not edible. It has lots of fat or something in it and absolutely no flavor. It seemed like they took to trimmings to make it. They allow you to bring your own wine as well without a corkage fee which is pretty cool. The downside is the noise. It is the level of obnoxious. The lunch crowd was mostly female and the restauant only half full and my husband could hardly hear me. Dinner was horrible. We could hear the table beside us better than our own and the noise was so so loud. Additionally after making a reservation at a certain time to get a certain table guaranteed by number, they gave the table away and did not bother to tell us, call us, just simply had us wait 20 minutes past our reservation time and then sat us in the middle of a very noisy area. Customer service is very important to me but obviously not to them. This is an upscale not inexpensive restaurant - which we know and it is fine as long as you get what you pay for.... read more

We loved our first visit for lunch but found the 2nd visit less than to our satisfaction. my husband enjoyed h Cubans sandwich... however the grilled chicken to top my salad was over cooked and completely dry. After waiting an hour for our order I did not wish to have them remake the chicken. New Years Eve. Nothing posted on their webpage reference to the menu for dinner so the assumption was they were serving from their standard menu for their evening meal. Not so, instead they had a highly (cost wise)inflated 'limited surprise menu.' Quite possibly a surprise to the chef(s) as the food, except for the crab cakes was tasteless. Somehow the chefs must have missed the part of the class that talks about flavors as the effort was wasted on 'presentation.' To the credit of the owner, the restaurant was well staffed with an attentive wait staff and an inviting decor. My first drink was good seasonal 75 and then I ordered wine it was good so I ordered another for dinner and my understanding was the same ended up being a totally different wine. One example of the staff not know what they were serving. We asked one of the staff what the specials were for the night. Grabs a green book and starts reading off everything and couldn't pronounce words and asking the manager for help. We got lost in translation so we sat back and waited a bit.. Then we asked the girl for the specials and she calls the guy over to read from the list again and tells us she as well missed the reading of the specials for the night. Finally we ordered. The food was cooked good. Next we ordered a sipping tequila for dessert. The bottle is 80 dollars and they are charging $35 for a shot... for a 400$ bill we left frustrated and mad, we should of left and gone to a different restaurant. We went to dinner there were 7 of us. Such a beautiful place however that's where the magic ended. The food was not just awful but largely inedible. The fish was for lack of a better term "fishy", the Caesar salad sour and lettuce limp, the mashed sweet potatoes under pork chop was cold, soup goopy, the bananas foster not prepared table side as advertised was gritty with uncooked sugar and the bread pudding had granola on top. The waitress was not as attentive as she maybe should have been with us all having to hunt her down. A party of four at 5:30 on a Friday evening, we found the server, but pleasant unknowledgeable about the wines and entre items. She did not reappear at our table to check on events. Menu is smaller than the one here on Yelp. This one must be old. Very nice place w great bar area. Our group had the oyster app, lobster and scallop filled dumplings and the crab cauliflower beignets. Oysters were just ok, dumplings were good but small portion not enough to share with a table of four. The beignets were very good. NY Strip, Redfish and Short Rib Cannelloni. All of the entrees were tasty, steaks were a tad undercooked but not enough to send back. Service was good. read more

So Disappointed!!!!! Pardos is our favorite special occasion restaurant. The food is always outstanding. My husband made a reservation on Tuesday November 29th. Saturday December 3 was our 33 wedding anniversary. I couldn't wait. Well unfortunately I got sick, so when my husband called to postpone, the girl that answered the phone said they were closed for a private party. But no one called us. And they did have our number. I don't know if I will go back. She didn't even apologize. I hope the owner knows how his employees are hurting his business. So sad! read more
