We spent my daughter's birthday here tonight, and it was such a lovely experience. Everything that we ordered was exceptional. The cocktails are great. We have been here several other times in the last year or two, but tonight it seemed like they have taken it to a new level. We went for the specials, so if you have a chance to do the tuna ceviche or the squid ink rice, please go for it. Amazing. My husband had the short rib and it was lovely as well. We had several desserts, but the Tres Leche was our favorite. A wonderful night and worthy of the price.

We absolutely loved this place! The two of us sat at the bar, and it had such a great vibe. It was very upbeat but you could still have a conversation. We both got a cocktail which was delicious. To start, we got the calamari which came with 2 different sauces. It was excellent, and there was so much flavor. I got the paella, which was amazing. It was so creamy and all of the seafood was cooked perfectly. We also got the short rib, which was very tender and all the flavors went well together. A friend of mine went after us and she said the social ceviche was the best ceviche she's ever had. We will definitely be back to try more! Also, one of the bartenders named Heath was amazing. Ask for him!!

Great atmosphere! The place was a social feel, but didnt feel to open for us! If you like an intimate feel, I would say that this may not be the place for that unless youbare ok sitting off to the side, but still in a high vibe room. There weren't any booths alone which was OK. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! The food was great and there were a few options that were kid friendly. Most of the food was shareable so, you got a sizable portion of food. We had the wings, guacamole, and Ceasar salad for starters. Tge wings were really good with a slight crunch. The Ceasar had panto chicken and this was also enough for a meal. The guacamole was flavorful and came with blue corn chips which paired well. Tge drink menu also had a lot of options and they do not skim on the alcohol. YIKES!!!! I would definitely return to this place for a brunch, lunch or dinner. We ended it with a free birthday dessert which was a tres leches which was very good with a slight coffee aroma! Just be prepared to ask for additional silverware as this may be the only $80+ per person place I've been to where you have to keep your silverware. This wasn't a problem for us!

I visited Social for lunch based on my best friend's wish to try Peruvian food. We picked a few things from each menu. From the bar menu, we tried the Cosmo and Pisco sour cocktails and the pork rinds. The drinks were great, especially the Pisco, and the pork rinds were sprinkled with togarashi and came crackling to the table. Along with the music and the chic decor, this was a fun way to get the vibe going. We chose the Ceviche clàsico to share and it was not what I was expecting. The fresh fish came to the table in a beautiful bowl to which the server added leche de tigre and drops of green oil. The ceviche was designed to sip and we didn't mind sharing but if double dipping is off the table, order your own. Loved this dish and I would order it again. Next, we ordered the Causa Limeña salad and the Nikkei Bowl from the lunch menu. I loved the layered chicken salad and potatoes on the causa limeña but the Nikkei bowl was the standout for the acevichada sauce that accompanies the fresh shrimp and sushi rice. It was filling but super fresh and unique. The interesting decor of the restaurant is the first thing you notice. It has a West Indies feel to me but may be Peruvian style. Whatever it is, it is Instagram-worthy and makes the restaurant a destination dining experience. The service was outstanding and I left wishing I could come back the next day. Social would be great for a reunion meet-up or anniversary celebration and it would be a beautiful spot for a wedding rehearsal dinner. This restaurant is not to be missed.

Made reservations at Social for 6pm on a Thursday. They had quite a few tables seated when we arrived. The interior of the place created a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. The energy in the restaurant was infectious and it spread throughout. We shared several small plates along with our cocktails. Some plates was delivered with a special presentation. Tacos over hot stones. Rye whiskey served from a neat basket, and sauce poured on top of our Cerviche Social. Everything was better than the next. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable and perfectly attentive to our needs. 5 stars!!

The restaurant is beautiful on the inside! It's the perfect atmosphere for a date night or girls night. The service was great, and each member of the staff was attentive. Every dish was tasty. The seafood in my ceviche was high quality and very fresh. My husband loved his paella; I took a bite, and it was extremely flavorful. We split some plantains, and they were perfectly cooked. My only minor criticism is that the menu is somewhat limited, but we would go back! We think it's a nice addition to Madisonville!

The service was spectacular even though they were busy. The presentation of the food was spot on. I would have liked the portion to be bigger as the price is pretty high. I would absolutely go again.

Amazing service, drinks and food!! Atmosphere was also nice!

We stopped in for Sunday brunch on my daughters birthday and had another fantastic meal…read more I ordered the Louisiana Crabmeat Sardou, and it was outstanding. Think eggs Benedict with a Louisiana crabmeat twist. It starts with a buttery homemade biscuit topped with a whole artichoke heart, creamed spinach, a perfectly poached egg, hollandaise, and caviar. It's served with a generous portion of lump crabmeat and a side of potatoes. With so many rich components, I expected it to be heavy, but everything was surprisingly balanced. Every bite worked together, and it was an incredibly delicious dish. My wife ordered the French Dip, which was the brunch special, and she absolutely raved about it. The shaved ribeye was incredibly tender, the Gruyère added just the right richness, and the au jus was packed with flavor. My daughter, who considers herself a burger connoisseur, insists their Brunch Burger is the best burger she's ever had. She ordered it again today, and it only reinforced that opinion. I also tried the Golden Hour cocktail, and it may have become my new favorite. I highly recommend giving it a try. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. Tchefuncte's continues to deliver one of our favorite brunch experiences, and we can't wait to stop in again the next time we're in the area.

We really enjoyed Tchefuncte's!…read more They have their own parking lot, so it made it very easy to get in and out. You just park, the go inside, and the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.

We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delicious and probably the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had! For drinks, we tried the Hot Honey Margarita and Blood Orange Mezcal, and both were extremely flavorful and beautifully presented. The aesthetic was unmatched. My daughter had the kids' cheese pizza and was very happy with it as well. For our entrées, we went with the pistachio crusted salmon and the steak with crawfish cream sauce and fries, and both were exceptional. We also had to try the Blueberry 75 since French 75s are my absolute favorite, and it did not disappoint! Our waitress, Jillian, truly took the experience to the next level. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, and every recommendation she gave us was spot on. Overall, 10/10 experience! Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, great cocktails, and even better service. 100% recommend and definitely a must try in Covington! We will absolutely be back.

Walked in and the place was super cute. Called earlier in the day for reservations for 7 and they…read moresaid they did not take same day reservations but place should not be bad at 6pm and we should be seated fairly quickly. We arrived at 5:40pm and told them 7 people and were told about 40 minutes so we sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks, waited about 40 minutes are were seated.. perfect timing. Now this is where things start to fall apart.. we sat and waited about 5 minutes for someone to show up and take drink orders and I thought should put in appetizers just in case it takes them awhile to return. A few drinks stumbled out and then appetizers came and the a few minutes later more of the drinks.. weird. Finally we ordered our entrees and while waiting finished our appetizers and then no one came and cleared the table, water was empty, drinks were low appetizer plates and appetizers vessels still on table. And wait for it... here come the entrees.. and they are placing them around an already full table.. was there no dishwashers so they didn't want to take plates back to be washed??? I put about 4 plates where my entree should have gone and they pushed the entree plate next to it and I had to ask them o remove the other plates. I feel like this is too long already.. the food? Tasted odd like it had an odd flavor I ordered the Truffle Butter Steak and it was about the size of my hand and cut in strips with onions rings on top and a small bowl of fries... for $35.00. My stunning wife orders the Shrimp fried rice and she was not impressed I tasted it and it was mushy with small shrimp. Oh I liked the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer that is the reason for the two stars. Bill came and I paid for seven of us and looked the bill and it was $381.00 with drinks no one told me the gratuity was one there already and stupid me did not look and gave them another $80.00 on top of the $60.00 on the bill yep $140.00 for horrible service.. and okay food. If you all read my reviews I honestly try to be fair and hope people have off days.. I am regretting having spent nearly $500.00 on this night
