Awful experience. This restaurant states that they have vegan options and has a dedicated vegetarian menu. We ordered a vegetarian dish. They put beef in it and argued with us when it clearly states that it is vegetarian on the menu. They then argued with us and refused to replace the dish and wanted us to drive it back to them. This restaurant is incredible! I ordered a chicken koobideh (seasoned ground chicken) with baghali polo (Lima Beans and dill) rice. Not only was the food superb the customer service was just as amazing. The owner even came to greet us during our dinner and recommended the Saffron Sunset drink with rose water, which was extremely refreshing. Kimberly & Shadi were amazing as well! We came on a Sunday for kabob, and overall the experience was just okay. It's certainly not a destination spot. While I was pleasantly surprised to see a few traditional Persian dishes on the menu that you don't usually find at other Persian restaurants, the execution fell short. The rice was disappointing, and the meat portions were noticeably smaller than what you typically get elsewhere. The barg was paper-thin, and the koobideh so slim that you could finish it in just a couple of bites. Another odd detail, the house salad came with thousand island dressing, which felt out of place and didn't pair well with the rest of the meal. This restaurant is a real hit-or-miss, and unfortunately, it leaned more toward a miss for us. With so many great Persian options available, this one lacks the refinement and consistency to stand out. You're better off going elsewhere. read more

Upscale Persian and Armenian dishes, nicely presented and attentive staff. Came in on a Friday night and had no problems getting a table right away. Good choice of cocktails, wine, and beer. Extensive menu is organized by different kinds of meat entrees. Parking lot can get full but street parking is an option. The Persian rice is epic in taste and proportion. The lamb shank is tender and flavorful. The lamb neck stew was a bit of a mystery, it comes with a bowl of "juice" and a second bowl with the meat in a stew-like consistency. After asking 3 persons how to approach the dish, one person recommended spooning in bits or bread or rice in the juice and gliding it into the stew. Seemed to work that way. The falafel plate came with six large pieces and delicious accompaniments. Lighting is romantic, good place for celebrations, and they have a front room for large parties that is visible from the sidewalk. read more

I've been going to Pardis for a while now, and honestly, the biggest issue is how inconsistent the food is. Sometimes it's really good, and other times it's just not eatable. I ordered chicken kebab, and it was completely different from the last time I had it. The rice -- which is such an important part of Persian cuisine -- was undercooked. You could actually feel the hardness in every bite, which really ruined the whole dish. When they first opened years ago, the food was amazing. It truly felt like home-cooked Persian food. That's why I keep giving it more chances, hoping it'll be like before. The last time I went, it was actually delicious again -- but then this time, total disappointment. I just don't understand how it can be so inconsistent. I genuinely want to support this restaurant, but the quality and recipes shouldn't change every time. And especially with Persian food, the rice is everything -- it should never be undercooked. I really hope they bring back the consistency they had when they first opened. read more

The rice doesn't even taste like rice. It's water down mushy and Persians are known for their amazing rice. It's been a while where they've raised their prices and cut down on the quality of food. The place looks great. Their bread is a must have, but they need to work on their food tasting better. I asked a lot of my Persian friends their favorite place to eat and this was highly recommended across the board. We came with high expectation and were not disappointed. The bread was warm and filling and we were told to try their fesenjoon. It was more on the sweeter side but otherwise still very tasty. Their beef soltani was my favorite. It was tender and flavorful, although the chicken koobideh had the right amount of juiciness which was *chef's kiss*. The service was very prompt and I have no complaints. Kudos to the team! We were seated on the patio and the ambiance outside was far better. The weather was chilly but there was a fireplace in the middle and heaters all over the ceiling. I ordered the chicken barg plate and it was inedible. The chicken had a bad smell, was rubbery in texture, and completely unseasoned. The rice had no flavor at all and the grilled tomato was hard as a rock with no juice. Everything we tried tasted off and the seasoning was way out of balance. I loved the food and the service here. I was invited by my Persian sis-in-law, who chose to try this place over Raffi's which is what I knew and loved. This place is just as fantastic, but cozy. It has a bit of a romantic vibe. I tried the beef kabobs torsh marinated in pomegranate and that was really the most amazingly delicious thing I've ever eaten! I also tried a he crunchy rice and a few of the other appetizers like ikra. I will say that it DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL! IT WAS FANTASTIC!! I will definitely be coming back for more and bringing more people with me. I forgot to take more pics of the food because I was enjoying them so much, but next time I will. They have catering packages too that make any event better with affordable pricing and tons of food! Food: Some of my favorites are the beef koobideh, which is a ground beef that is very tender. The chicken koobideh is also just as great. One of my favorite appetizers is the mast-o-khiar, which is yogurt, dill and and diced cucumber. Their pita bread is delicious and you can't forget the sumac seasoning on their saffron rice. The food is great quality! Service/ambiance: I have done catering orders, take out orders, and have dined in. Every experience is top notch and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is semi casual but you can dress up a little bit. Overall, I would recommend Pardis to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that does middle eastern food very well. I'm not knowledgable in the difference between Persian and middle eastern food but you'll enjoy the food regardless. read more

We just came here for the early dinner. We order the beef, chicken, and the salmon. Rice we choose herb and cherry. The food is really good. The flavors are not too strong and really tender and soft and yummy. Our waitress Jasmin is nice. The only down thing is that we are sitting outside and there is some waitress blowing the dust and leaves .... They end up giving us free dessert and coffee. Dinner on January 4th was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered two koobideh. When the food arrived at the table, the rice was cold--so cold that the butter wouldn't melt at all. The koobideh itself also wasn't hot, though it wasn't as cold as the rice. This was an immediate turnoff, especially for a dish that should be served fresh and hot. I let our server know, and she did bring out another side of rice that was hot this time. However, by the time the new rice arrived, the koobideh had already gotten completely cold, which made the whole meal unenjoyable. For a first visit, this really missed the mark. Serving cold food--especially something as simple as rice--is unacceptable, and it definitely impacted our overall experience. I was hoping for much better. read more

Honestly, I am sad to write this, because I really was hoping for an enjoyable experience, and because people were nice. We drove almost 1.5 hour in traffic to get there. We went there on Saturday. It's a nice atmosphere, nice people, and clean environment. I liked their in house made bread a lot. One of the 2 stars was for these positive experiences. Unfortunately that's where the complements have to stop. For the 4 of us we ordered 4 dishes, lamb chops, lamb shank, sultani beef, and bone in chicken. First only 2 foods arrived. Then the lamb chop came, which was with wrong type of rice. That was taken back and brought back with the correct rice and the final dish. We were unhappy to find out all food were just Luke warm. I put a little butter inside my rice and it didn't even melt!! The lamb shank was really not warm at all. Lamb chop was overcooked and dry. Bone in chicken was OK. Sultani barg was so thin, we wondered how it could have possibly been made that thin. Honestly we'd never ever seen one like that in any restaurant. It was paper thin. And of course it was dry because of it. We looked at waited for our server, who was so overwhelmed that never came by our table again. We were really hungry. So we started eating anyway. Hindsight, we really shouldn't have done that. Our server showed up at the very end with the bill. I told him about issues. He said he wished I'd told him, and I had to remind him that he was nowhere to be found. overall, unpleasant, mediocre food with servers running around trying to catch up with orders. We started with the appetizer combo of hummus, mast moosir (yogurt mixed with shallots) and ikra (grilled eggplant and tomato sauce) which we ate with the fresh bread they bake daily. The pro-move was combining some of the dips. Yum. My entree was chicken torsh (chicken marinated in a pomegranate molasses sauce) with salad, and rice with cherries. The chicken was grilled like a kabob but had a darker color because of the marinade. It was juicy and very tasty. Our waiter was wonderful, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Didn't get a chance to check out the outdoor/backyard seating but the server advised us that it's very beautiful and pleasant when the weather is nice. We ordered the kashk bademjoon, torshi, salad shirazi, soltani kabob and zershk chicken kabob. All the good was fresh and delicious. The torshi, kashk bademjoon, and koobideh were our favorites.
