We had travelled from the Bay Area to Los Angeles for the rally on Valentine's Day. Afterwards I really wanted to have some good Persian food especially Kabob as I don't have many options in my neighborhood or area. We called a few places who were understandably very busy, and even though Pardis had a very similar situation, they graciously accommodated us, and we were able to get a table and enjoy some good wholesome food. They have a garden area in the back that's very pleasant and we had the opportunity to sit there. They had plenty of heaters and I didn't even feel cold even though we were outside. The kabobs were delish, the portions were incredibly generous and it was definitely worth the wait and experience overall. I will definitely be back and have recommended this place to my friends who currently live in LA. Thank you Pardis! This place is amazing! Always great service and the food is delicious. We love sitting outside, the ambiance is great. I've tried a lot of different dishes and they are all really good. Dinner on January 4th was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered two koobideh. When the food arrived at the table, the rice was cold--so cold that the butter wouldn't melt at all. The koobideh itself also wasn't hot, though it wasn't as cold as the rice. This was an immediate turnoff, especially for a dish that should be served fresh and hot. I let our server know, and she did bring out another side of rice that was hot this time. However, by the time the new rice arrived, the koobideh had already gotten completely cold, which made the whole meal unenjoyable. For a first visit, this really missed the mark. Serving cold food--especially something as simple as rice--is unacceptable, and it definitely impacted our overall experience. I was hoping for much better. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it looks beautiful inside and the staff provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. I ordered the chicken barg plate and it was inedible. The chicken had a bad smell, was rubbery in texture, and completely unseasoned. The rice had no flavor at all and the grilled tomato was hard as a rock with no juice. Everything we tried tasted off and the seasoning was way out of balance. We ended up returning the food immediately. Do not be fooled by the nice pictures or the atmosphere. I loved the food and the service here. I was invited by my Persian sis-in-law, who chose to try this place over Raffi's which is what I knew and loved. This place is just as fantastic, but cozy. It has a bit of a romantic vibe. I tried the beef kabobs torsh marinated in pomegranate and that was really the most amazingly delicious thing I've ever eaten! I also tried a he crunchy rice and a few of the other appetizers like ikra. I will say that it DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL! IT WAS FANTASTIC!! I will definitely be coming back for more and bringing more people with me. I forgot to take more pics of the food because I was enjoying them so much, but next time I will. I asked a lot of my Persian friends their favorite place to eat and this was highly recommended across the board. We came with high expectation and were not disappointed. The bread was warm and filling and we were told to try their fesenjoon. It was more on the sweeter side but otherwise still very tasty. Their beef soltani was my favorite. It was tender and flavorful, although the chicken koobideh had the right amount of juiciness which was *chef's kiss*. The service was very prompt and I have no complaints. Kudos to the team! We were seated on the patio and the ambiance outside was far better. The weather was chilly but there was a fireplace in the middle and heaters all over the ceiling. I texted my mom in the middle of our dinner telling her that I will be taking her here in the near future. I will definitely recommend to people looking for good Persian food. read more

They have catering packages too that make any event better with affordable pricing and tons of food! Food: Some of my favorites are the beef koobideh, which is a ground beef that is very tender. The chicken koobideh is also just as great. One of my favorite appetizers is the mast-o-khiar, which is yogurt, dill and and diced cucumber. Their pita bread is delicious and you can't forget the sumac seasoning on their saffron rice. The food is great quality! Service/ambiance: I have done catering orders, take out orders, and have dined in. Every experience is top notch and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is semi casual but you can dress up a little bit. Overall, I would recommend Pardis to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that does middle eastern food very well. I'm not knowledgable in the difference between Persian and middle eastern food but you'll enjoy the food regardless. read more

We just came here for the early dinner. We order the beef, chicken, and the salmon. Rice we choose herb and cherry. The food is really good. The flavors are not too strong and really tender and soft and yummy. Our waitress Jasmin is nice. The only down thing is that we are sitting outside and there is some waitress blowing the dust and leaves .... They end up giving us free dessert and coffee. The waiter said that they had the best kabobs in Glendale and they weren't wrong. We started with the appetizer combo of hummus, mast moosir (yogurt mixed with shallots) and ikra (grilled eggplant and tomato sauce) which we ate with the fresh bread they bake daily. The pro-move was combining some of the dips. Yum. My entree was chicken torsh (chicken marinated in a pomegranate molasses sauce) with salad, and rice with cherries. The chicken was grilled like a kabob but had a darker color because of the marinade. It was juicy and very tasty. Our waiter was wonderful, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Returned and, this time, dined in. Beautiful lighting and eclectic decor. Didn't get a chance to check out the outdoor/backyard seating but the server advised us that it's very beautiful and pleasant when the weather is nice. We ordered the kashk bademjoon, torshi, salad shirazi, soltani kabob and zershk chicken kabob. All the good was fresh and delicious. The torshi, kashk bademjoon, and koobideh were our favorites. They have variety of dishes and most importantly they serve kabob torsh which is a sour kabob, it may sound weird but if you like sour taste then give it a try, it's a different flavor and to me it's very unique specially the beef one. I think Pardis is one of the best Persian/Armenian food places in LA (my most fav place for soltani to be honest). However, I want ti talk about their service today. We were helped by a fantastic person named Bob. He made sure to attend to our every need and even made sure the background in our picture looks nice (they have very nice indoor and outdoor sittings btw). I just wanted to make sure his exceptional work doesn't go u recognized. I am a very long costumer (first time I went there was on the same week they opened) and I think one of the things they could really improve on was the quality if their service. This was our second time going to Pardis, and it was as good as the first time! This is one of the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants in the area; we should know since we've tried many! This time we had the hummus, ikra, and two orders of the Beef Soltani. The meats were expertly cooked, with an explosion of flavor when you bite into the tender and juicy flesh. The hummus was also very good, as was the ikra. Our server Amin was attentive, stopping by regularly to check on us and refilling our bread and onion side dish. I'm not much of a raw onion person, but the complimentary onions were surprisingly good- not too spicy with just the right mix of freshness- that I ended up eating way more than anticipated and even asked for seconds. My husband and I came here craving Mediterranean food. We had heard about it as a great alternative for Raffi's. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant w free parking! Hooray! The restaurant itself is also very clean. They appear to have a private room too so that looks very nice for small parties and get togethers! I got the chicken koobideh and the meat was very juicy and well seasoned. My husband got the lamb kabob which was a tad flavorless, though it had a good chew (it was not tough). :) we also got a yogurt dip and that was delicious! On a side note, my husband substituted his rice for Lima bean and dill rice, which was just okay but not our fave. The service was lovely! We had a wonderful experience. The portion sizes were great. I've held three birthdays here now. The staff is so nice and accommodating, and their back patio is so gorgeous, I always have a good time. The indoor dining area is also very pretty but it does get a bit loud in there. Beware that all kebab dishes come with a MOUNTAIN of rice, so you probably won't need additional. The appetizer dips are also very generously portioned. Do not miss their ikra (eggplant tomato dip) or their Olovieh (chicken egg salad), which are incredible. The kebabs are all perfectly done, as is their Persian stews, such as fesenjoon and gormeh sabzi. You really can't go wrong here. This is a Glendale favorite. Add it to the rotation, especially if Raffi's is getting a bit old. read more

First time the service was a fail and it all started with the girl on the phone I believe her name was Edith; I didn't say anything took my order eventually and left. Second time today, I ordered it on line to make it easy and not have issues, for the love of god when people order to go and ask for utensils please provide them. The food is okay, the beef is just okay; however the chicken is fantastic! The restaurant is not busy the both times I've ordered, I just ask the owner/manager to train your staff to read the instructions and requests.
