Amazing overnight oatmeal delicious fruit and the perfect amount of spice! Their regular coffee excellent nice & strong which is how coffee is meant to be!! read more

There were 5 employees behind the counter but it took 10 minutes to get my coffee, which was wrong the first time by the way. This is because all 5 of them were too busy hanging out and talking to actually ocus on what they were doing. The woman who took order was barely paying attention to what I was ordering because she was having a side conversation and joking around. Very unprofessional and rude. read more

So happy to finally have a healthy food spot on Coronado, something that was lacking before. Most of their dishes are light, refreshing, and comprised of high quality ingredients. I love the Lebanese/Middle Eastern influence throughout much of their menu, i.e. the use of zataar and labneh. It's a bit on the pricey side but I'll definitely be eating here a lot. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Service. Friendly atmosphere. Food! Drinks. Timeliness. Everything is top notch. We are locals to Coronado and we won't go anywhere else for our coffee. Many times our friends behind the counter like Paola, Anna, Rosanna will see us walk or bike up across the street and will have our drinks ready when we walk in. AMAZING! read more

Nom nom food!!! I enjoy coming here for the happy vibes and smiley faces!! The chai lattes are spicy and warming! The Avocado toast is refreshing - def recommend and of course their fresh juices are a must have ! read more

The cashier was really pretty and treated me very nicely. The food was delicious and had the best experience at parakeet cafe. Great environment and great people read more

Super rude staff and paid $5 for a small coffee what tasted like reheated almond milk with a ton of honey just dumped in.

Good food! Good service! The Shakshoka and salads is amazing! They are so kind and lovely. I love it read more

Grabbed some coffee here before heading out to the beach. Such a cute little place. Loved their iced mint latte. It tasted like caffeinated mint chocolate chip ice cream! read more

Outstanding food and fast service. I had the Brazilian açaí bowl and my husband had their epic salad--both were delicious. We topped it off with a vegan dark chocolate chip cookie, which was out of this world. We'll be going back! read more

Ambiance was great, the cafe was super cute, but a friend and I went in to get hot chocolates, and they just were not what we expected. They were not very hot, and the flavor was almost not there. Maybe we just need to try the other drinks, but all and all we were just not impressed. Cute cafe though, with great workers. read more

Delicious!! Loved the Grilled Vegetable Bowl (added chicken) and the Parakeet Bowl (added avocado & grilled salmon). Everything was cooked to order and was well-seasoned. Also enjoyed the pink lemonade. Cute decor; lovely staff Great menu choices. Good Portion size. Great flavors. Look forward to trying more items. Great addition to the community. Also love their Parakeet Juicery read more

Delicious grilled veggie bowl! Fresh veggies grilled to perfection with a nice light vinaigrette dressing.

Service was very efficient and the employees were all super friendly! Our food is DELICIOUS, well presented, and came out super quick. The aesthetic is a 12/10 read more

I was in a pinch and stopped by and loved their breakfast burrito. Super yummy! Extra stars for nice outdoor seating and lively interior

Parakeet café is a super reliable healthy food joint in San Diego. I have been to the one in Coronado and the one in Little Italy and can say both locations were consistent and efficient. The space is clean and features tons of options for everyone... From sweets to salads to juices there is some thing for everyone! I will definitely be going back. read more

Food itself was good, loved that there were lots of vegetarian options. Unfortunately I found a hair in my food before I began eating (a small hair, but still definitely a hair-the rest of my group confirmed it) and when I brought it to the attention of who I assumed was the manager, he acted very strange. He did not apologize, and even acted as if he did not believe me. I'm not sure why I would lie about it, as I had already paid for my food and had nothing to gain (I had to wait an extra 20 minutes to get it replaced and still plaid for it, I wish I hadn't found the hair!) but the whole experience left me very uncomfortable and a bit upset. The wait staff was great, when I mentioned I had found a hair and was waiting for my food to be replaced, one of the waiters did apologize. I know that they were busy, and the food did taste good, but I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and I know that it's not too hard to say a simple sorry and be accommodating when something as gross as a human hair is found in food. read more

Most delightful place with very friendly staff. The food was healthy and delicious. The staff was very attentive to all our requests. Shout out to Paola, Devin, Lyndsee, Diana and Melissa. You guys are awesome and we will be back! read more

Welcome to the island! We stopped for a quick bite to eat. The avocado toast is hands down the best we've ever had. The zucchini bread with orange blossom glaze will send your tastebuds into another galaxy. Great coffee and matcha. The entire staff is incredible. You can tell they love their job and love helping people. We cannot wait to go back! read more

Decided to try for dinner. Veggie bowl had vegetables on top of noodles. Thought it was going be a hot dish but it was cold with a ginger sauce that was too strong. My friend had a chicken sandwich and wanted mayonnaise. They don't carry mayonnaise or mustard. Instead they have a bean paste on the sandwich. Pricey food items. The value for price is not good. Music is way too loud also. Two of us got food poisoning so reduced to one star. read more

This place was so cute! I love the decor and the food was delicious. A great lunch spot in Coronado.

Their parakeet bowl with grilled salmon is DELICIOUS. It gets a little pricey with the added salmon but I'm able to get 2 meals out of it. I usually take mine to-go but the decor is adorable and can imagine it's a good dining experience read more

We waited about 50 minutes for our food which is not ideal but I get it. The hard part was we were told, "patience is a virtue" in a really sassy way after we had seen multiple people that were in line after us get their food. Just a total damper on the experience. It could've been an easy fix with some good ole fashioned kindness. Great place, just need to up the customer service game. Totally bummed. read more

I highly recommend this place, especially locals who want to have a great post workout meal. I had a great bowl here, it was a more than fair portion of really good acai. It had fresh fruit and coconut on top. I was expecting to pay alot more considering how much we ordered drinks as well but the prices were way cheaper than we had imagined. The staff was real cool too and didnt mind explaining the menu to us. Definitely coming back. read more

Whenever I visit Coronado, Parakeet is ALWAYS on the agenda. This location is the cutest and is in walking distance from the beach (perfection!). The staff is always helpful and kind making the experience that much more special. My favorite is the matcha latte. Be sure to try one of their croissants or cookies as they are baked fresh daily. YUM! I ran into the owners the last time I was there, and they are such a sweet couple who really cares about their employees and customers. I love supporting local businesses, but Parakeet has to be my favorite in San Diego! read more

Food is good but expensive, coffee is good. Would easily be a 4 star if it wasn't for the false advertising re: free wifi. Y'all should really change your pages if you're not going to offer a service. read more

Excellent fresh, wholesome and well prepared food. Comfortable ambiance and good service. What more can you ask?

Great spot for coffee and a healthy, fresh breakfast! Loved our iced lattes and avocado toast. Really cute, hip vibe as well. Hope they open one in OC so we can go more often! read more

Healthy vegan choices - very good food and smoothies all made to order- lovely staff too

Very hard to rate. The food, is excellent and kind of has its own little niche in Coronado. However, I cannot get by the rude, uninterested, unhelpful clerks at the front that take your order. I have been into this cafe x2 now, same staff, same treatment. The first time I was in, Dec2021, I ordered online and walked over after a hair appt to pick up my order. It wasn't ready so instead of being inside and wearing a mask I asked if she would please just bring it out to me when it was ready, clerk didn't acknowledge me, so I made sure we made eye contact and asked again, pointing to where I would sit She said 'sure' turned around talking to the other girl there. There were no other customers in the shop. 20 min later, I came back in asking about my food, had to 'get their attention' as the 2 girls were chatting up a guy and looking at pics on their phone, once I did she pointed, oh there is is, I called your name. Then went back to what she was doing. The 2nd experience was similar, ordered online, went to pick it up at 650 pm on Friday night ( time had said 640 but parking was tricky), they didn't want to let me in because they were closing! I said 'my food is already paid for and should be ready' and was told, I couldn't order anything more than a drink as they were closing. The same condescending, rude attitude. Both times, I gave a tip as the app asks for that before paying - shame on me! I've been to other parakeet cafe's here in SD with the complete opposite customer service experience - they are lovely! It's very disappointing. I'll make my own grilled vegetable salad from now on! read more

I like going to the Parakeet Juicery for açaí bowls and smoothies, but wanted to try the Cafe out for lunch. I ordered the golden goddess salad with chicken. I chose this based on the menu write up and the online photos. It looked very appealing and seemed perfect for a quick meal. I chose to eat in so I could enjoy it and grab a treat from the Juicery afterwards. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing like what I expected and I was highly disappointed! The salad was all greens, with very little flavor from the avocado, dill, chives and radishes, which were extremely lacking (maybe 4 slivers of radish and avocado each, and hardly any herbs). The chicken breast was tiny, dry and lacked flavor as well. The dressing was tasty and the only redeeming part of the meal. To top it off, the salad was served in a to-go box, and the portion was extremely sad compared to what the photos depicted (as well as the cost)! Was too disappointed to even treat myself afterwards... read more

It was okay. Super expensive for the okay quality of the food. Location is nice, but if you're looking for quality, wouldn't recommend. Ordered avocado toast.. the bread was way to hard to bite into. I also ordered a cranberry scone which was super dry with no flavor. Probably won't be coming back here. read more

the iced lemonade is something else!! i'm not a lemonade person but the fizziness was so refreshing on a hot day!

Great service, friendly and servers! Rather large selection of gluten-free and vegan pastries. Excellent coffee. Innovated and delicious menu. Visiting this town for a week and I've already been here three times! Love this place!! read more

Loved this spot right next to the Lamb's Players Theater! Green scrambled eggs were tasty and the salsa verse was excellent! The waffle was delicious and beautiful with lots of fruit on top! Drip coffee hit the spot. They did forget one part of our order, but were quick to replace it and very kind. Outdoor seating out back as well as the front. read more

This location is beautiful. The vibes were on point with my service. My baristas name was Alondra and she slayed for days. I ordered and she delivered. This one honestly one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had and I'll definitely be recommend this place to ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS.PERIOD. read more

We stopped by for a coffee around mid-morning. We ordered a regular coffee, an ice coffee, and a matcha latte. 3 relatively easy drinks to make. They had 1 girl moving at a snails pace making drinks during a somewhat busy time. It took 30 minutes! At one point, a lady came up to the counter to say that her group had eaten the food they ordered and still had not received their coffees. The family right before us ordered 2 ice coffees and waited the 30 minutes like us. Really ridiculous for mediocre coffee. Perhaps have 2 people making drinks or hire someone who moves a little faster? read more

It's a darling new place and I know it will be a great addition to Coronado. However, their awareness about COVID precautions are not as stringent as I would like. While I was there waiting for our order, I saw the waitress (who also buses the tables), take an ice scoop from the ice maker, and put her bare hands on the bottom of it repeatedly (to steady it) and then replace it in the ice maker (rather than leave out so the handle doesn't contaminate the ice). After that, the cashier also went into the ice maker without gloves (or sanitizing), served the ice, and dropped the scoop right back in the ice. I hope management will see this review and provide some training, so my family can return and feel comfortable. I didn't have my drink, as I was too concerned, so can't tell you how it was. read more
