I just love this place. Although it's a bit pricey because they use quality oils and products, I have had very good experiences here. The staff is incredibly attentive and I have never had bad service here and I've been here quite a lot. So management is definitely doing something right! The food is good. But the drinks are spectacular. I absolutely love that they do not use seed oils and are cognizant of using quality ingredients. That means a lot to people like myself who are health-conscious. This is one of the main reasons I continue to support their business and will continue to be a regular. Always excited when they add something new to the menu. My favorite drink is the myan mocha. It is the perfect amount of sweetness, not too sweet, and I just love the spiciness of the cayenne. I have also tried many of their other drinks and they're all fantastic. read more

If you are in a hurry do not go here. It is not a quick grab coffee or order online pick up and go. I have been eating here multiple times per week for the last month or so. I get a chicken Caesar wrap without the Furikake - because that just sounds gross. The chicken Caesar wrap is DELICIOUS!!! I wish they'd put their to go food in a bag with handles. They just hand you this big wrap in like a cookie bag. The look of the cafe is very satisfying with bright colors. It just feels trendy and special. They always have a lot of people working at once which you'd think means everything comes out quickly, but that doesn't seem to be the case. They do not have a good system for pick up orders. Generally your food is made and you have to just wait, even when you ask someone to check on your food, they don't. read more

It's pretty here and the ambiance is great. I didn't try the pastries although they looked delicious, my biggest complaint is the drinks. They never taste good, I'm unfortunately always disappointed. Both locations should just become bakeries because I think that would be better for business and more fair to customers because my drink did not taste like lavender, and my mother's drink did not taste like chai. We had our other family members taste it and they were confused about how it was made. Everything costs money and we were exploring the area before we had lunch for my birthday. Only reason I'm not giving it a one star is because the staff are nice, but I would never come here again. Does not seem worth my time or money. So sad because it looks so beautiful. I can't just expect change to occur so this is my stance not just from now, but also since 2023 from the Coronado location. read more

This is solely based on my recent experience here. Met my daughter for her lunch break and sat out on the patio with my tumeric, ginger, lemon and raw honey tea and blueberry, lemon gluten free scone. Everything was great, sorry but I forgot pictures this time. There are several gluten free options, food options, coffee, tea etc. They don't use SEED OILS, or GUMS, their stuff is ORGANIC, ETHICALLY SOURCED...no need to say more!!! Love a place that cares and 'gets it', hard to avoid seed oils when you're out, so this is fantastic! Decor is cute, prices are comparable, baristas are nice. First time here and I would come back again. Their vanilla cold foam matcha is refreshing and doesn't taste like grass. The fruit danish was lite and delish. The star of the show was the chicken Cesar wrap. I like that it had big chunks of warm chicken because cold chicken would have put me in a bad mood. Not a lot of seating options for large groups, but it's a nice spot for a coffee/breakfast date. A little on the pricey side, but I think the quality of the food and the good service makes it worth it. I would recommend it. Just know, you're sitting outside and there will be bugs. lol read more

This place is so cute!! The paintings on the walls of birds are so eye catching and of course everything is pink. We stopped in to see what they had and to our surprise a LOT of stuff was gluten free! My husband got the eclair and a banana oat muffin to try. The eclair was very good - chocolate cream filled - and reminded me and my husband of a filled churro (without the cinnamon sugar). They have more than just baked goods and its definitely a place for sitting and relaxing. Theres even outdoor tables! I would love to come back here but it's over an hour away from me. Truly one of the cutest coffee shops I've been to lately! I love the health conscious approach they take. It's so hard to find places using quality ingredients that you feel good about eating, but Parakeets got it! Their selection is excellent, coffee was great, and the entire vibe of the cafe was upbeat and inviting! I got the iced mint latte and it was so refreshing and delicious, and not too sweet. Make sure to join their loyalty program too! The barista that helped me was very friendly and added points to my account after I already ordered without having signed up beforehand, which I thought was super nice! This cafe replaced Peets Coffee at the Forum. It's really hip - rad & trendy decor, modern furniture, definitely IG-worthy. Has indoor and outdoor seating. You order from the front cash register, there are bakery items to the side, and menus are available at the entrance. Menu has various items, including açaí bowls, yogurt, a section for toast, and cafe items. The Belgian waffle was delicious!! I actually couldn't finish it all, but it was just rich enough. Love the flavor combo - it satisfied my sweet tooth. My sis had the yogurt, and she seemed to enjoy it. Lots of items that came out were aromatic. Drip Coffee was extremely strong and bitter. Service was mediocre, which was disappointing. The staff seemed busy, but not particularly inviting or attentive. I didn't realize they had high chairs available until I specifically asked -- something that could've been mentioned or offered. I also noticed the staff seemed selectively friendly, which left the overall experience feeling a bit inconsistent. read more

I've been to Parakeet Cafe a lot and I really enjoy their food, drinks, and especially the gluten-free options and the fact that they don't use seed oils. Iove their matcha lattes, the salads, the gluten free sourdough, the quinoa wafers, cucumber chips and almond butter toast. What truly keeps me coming back, though, is the staff. Every visit, I've received excellent customer service. Ryan, Olivia, Rachel, and Jehova have all been wonderful. I know I'm forgetting a few names, but honestly, everyone who has helped me there has been great. I believe Jehova is the manager, and i can tell he stays on top of everything and genuinely cares about both the employees and the customers. One thing I have noticed, however, is a high amount of turnover, especially among the managers. That doesn't reflect very well on the ownership not being able to retain their good employees, because the employees are a huge part of what makes this business successful. read more

The service was fast with ordering and making our drinks. - Magic Mushroom Matcha Latte: 3.5/5 my husband enjoyed his drink but said the matcha flavor was light for $11 - Cold Cream Vanilla Matcha: 2/5 I've had better matcha for cheaper. This was $10. Matcha flavor was mid. There was a lot of matcha powder clumps at the bottom of my drink (the barista probably didn't sift the powder before mixing it). I truly can't get enough of Parakeet cafe!! They have the best manager on site named Elber. He has exceptional customer service and will do anything to make sure what you need gets done. He is extremely professional and has a big smile on his face the entire time. I love that this casual dining is extremely healthy and delicious! I come here for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner AND I come here for catering services. My offices not only love the taste of the food but they also love the presentation. I can always count on Parakeet cafe to make everything above and beyond. My go to favorite items to order here: mushroom cacao latte, flat white with housemade almond milk, fit for life smoothie, crunchy Asian salad with tofu, parakeet bowl, overnight oats, squash soup with homemade gluten free sourdough, almond butter toast, Acai bowls, and their wraps/burritos. I like their breakfast burrito and the drinks are ok. I've had much better elsewhere. This visit I had a surprise crunch in my burrito. Like a walnut or something of the sort in consistency. Kinda a mystery/unintended surprise in my meal. Not in a good surprise way. Everything else in it was fine. I couldn't taste the cinnamon honey feature to my drink. It tasted like a regular almond milk latte. Maybe the house almond milk is that overpowering. I don't know it was my first time trying it. Mango bliss is a chunky smoothie as it has dried mango (listed as last ingredient) in it. I didn't see that when ordering it. My kids didn't like it that way either. Flavor was weird to me as I tried it and didn't like it. Personally I like my smoothies super smooth and don't like to chew my drinks. When the nice staffer asked the manager gal to help re-blend it...She was literally beside herself was definitely disgruntled. She made sure to grunt loudly in the kitchen showing much displeasure to having to take care of this for my kid. That's Not cool. The person that took my order was pleasantly answering all my silly questions. I think they did great job!! Maybe they were new because the manager gal hoovered a bit but they were perfectly fine. The two guys working the front deserve a stand alone better review. Parakeet cafes are always so cute and adorable. This one at the Forum needs a bit of friendlier customer service. My friend and I noticed that we were being ignored and her coffee (just black coffee) came after the food, which is pricey. The music is also a bit loud which can be annoying as there are many families that go there with children and want to talk not listen to music. Everything is very charming there and food is good but a bit of decor to not make the plate 'too brown' would be a nice touch. read more

I have always had my eyes on this place and was happy to be able to stop in. They have LOTS of options and color there! It was kinda hard to pick a drink but me and my friend decided to sticky basis Iced Coffees. I asked for cream in mine and did not get any. I went to the counter to get it but the line as almost to the door suddenly. We were rushing to get out of there so I didn't notice any cream around so I just saved my drink for the next day.
