The restaurant was pretty packed and had great reviews so we have it a try. Started with the lamb samosa and it was pretty good-the cool green sauce was delicious that it came with. The lamb dish with spinach was decent but the lamb was a tad tough. The butter chicken was more sweet than what I'm used too, but the chicken was tender. The staff was extremely friendly- wish I loved the food. But I heard people raving about their dishes as we walked out so perhaps we just picked the wrong dishes . read more

This was a great find. We were staying at a nearby hotel and had a pleasant walk to find this local gem: excellent, attentive service, reasonable prices, and very good food. We shared two entrees (one chicken tikka masala, one saag paneer), one garlic naan, and one order of rice, and that was plenty. Quiet, comfortable dining room. We were looking for a place to get some Indian food, and I had heard good things about this restaurant. We started my meal with the onion bhaji. The bhaji was crispy and well-seasoned, and it came with a side of mint chutney. The chutney was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the bhaji was still delicious. For my main course, I ordered the matar panner and vegetable curry. The matar panner was creamy and flavorful, but the vegetable curry was average with little to no vegetables and they were a bit bland. I would have liked it to be spicier. The chapati and the tandoori roti were both excellent. The chapati was soft and fluffy, and the tandoori roti was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, I had a good experience .The food was good, and the service was friendly. The place was a little cramped up.However, I would recommend asking for a spicier curry if you have an Indian palate. read more

Our party of six turned up just as they opened. They were very accommodating and friendly. We ordered a combination of main and sides dishes and shared family style. From mild to spicy, chicken lamb and vegetarian. The naan bread was delicious and for desert we had the traditional goolab jamum and kulfi. Our waiters were prompt and attentive. We were a bit torn - really wanted Indian cuisine but wanted something relatively close. Turns out, I would have taken the tube for this. Very crowded so we second-guessed but decided to go for it. They seated us in the cozy back room. The service was wonderful. The stuff in the picture attached was AMAZING. Each sauce has a unique flavor and each is so flavorful. Didn't realize what Uk Indian food taste like until I gave it a try. Couple differences compared to that of US: 1. Sauce is light and chunkier; 2. Less seasoned and less creamier; 3. Generally speaking on the sweeter side. By no means I am an expert but I do have a suspicion if different region might produce different flavor of chicken Tikka. Perhaps it's different as a sit down restaurant but as a takeaway this place is awful. I ordered: - Paneer Tikka Masala (Mild) - other reviews said they had very spicy food here so I erred on the side of less spice. Unfortunately this dish had no seasoning and was overly sweet. Did not taste like tikka masala at all, more like a bottled, sugary tomato purée. - Peas Piau - this had barely any peas but was also quite flavorless. It tasted like instant rice you'd get at a cheap buffet. - Vegetable Samosa - the item is singular so I expected one robust, crispy samosa wrapped in that typical thick crust. Instead I got 3 small samosas that were so greasy they were wrapped in 2 paper bags and still got grease everywhere. They were also flaky and crunchy like a spring roll or spanakopita. They were also under seasoned and filled with corn and roasted red pepper - definitely not the typical Indian flavor I was expecting, but also overly sweet. There were also no sauces included and no option to ask for them included or indication they should be requested separately. - Papadum - completely undercooked, making them limp instead of crunchy. They also lacked any included sauce and didn't include an option to add it. - Mint sauce - again, extremely sweet. Yogurt based which is fine for some people but it did little to add flavor to this awful meal. - Cheese Naan - probably the only decently edible thing, but the cheese was unevenly distributed making it a tiny portion of cheese naan and mostly plain naan. I don't think I'll give it a chance as a sit down after this, but I can't recommend you order delivery or takeaway from here. read more

We found this lovely little restaurant after getting turned away at another spot that was too busy to take walk-ins. Well, that was a blessing in disguise because we ended up loving our meal at Paradise! We started with Samosas and a plate of naan with various dipping sauces. Great way to kick it off. For dinner, we had the chicken vindaloo - very spicy, just the way we love it! We paired it with a Sauvignon Blanc that was just so so but to be fair, we didn't ask for a pairing rec so that one is on us. We would definitely return here for dinner if we were staying longer in the area as it was by the far the most kick I've had in a meal since being in the U.K.! We ate dinner there two days ago because it had very good ratings and it's near our hotel. The food was delicious and the place was clean, but other aspects were very negative. When we entered the restaurant (at about 8:45 p.m.), the noise was incredibly loud - but it was getting late, we were starved and there was nothing else appealing in that immediate vicinity. There was a minuscule table and tiny/very uncomfortable-looking chairs near the door and one of the servers tried to get us to sit there, but it would have been miserable. We were seriously considering leaving at that point, until we noticed a larger table (with more comfortable-looking chairs) about halfway towards the back - so we told the guy we'd like to sit there, but he brusquely told us that table was only for take-out. We then told him we were leaving, and *immediately* he told us it was o.k. to sit there (!). He wasn't our only server, but he was quite brusque throughout our stay. Also - and I realize this isn't the fault of the restaurant - there were two men sitting at tables very near us and they talked non-stop & in *booming* voices the whole time. Seriously, they were practically *yelling*. read more

Great food! Got the tikka masala and the curried lamb, and both dishes were sweeter than I'm used to (common for UK). Still very good, and was able to request they make one of the dishes spicy - which helped curb the sweetness. Yummy Indian food in London. So glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem about 1/2 mile from our hotel (St. Ermin's hotel). The Curries were sweeter than US curry as expected. No vegan options. Came to this place to meet a friend from out of town and her family for dinner. I asked what options there are for vegans, as other sites such as trip Advisor specifically state they have vegan options, and also it's 2018 and not that hard. They told me they have nothing for vegans and that they "don't do vegan food". To clarify further, I asked if they had anything at all without dairy and they said no, everything has dairy, they cannot prepare anything without dairy. I asked further if they could even prepare just some plain vegetables without dairy and they said no. They were quite unapologetic about this as well. Certainly would not recommend this place, especially when most other Indian restaurants in London are able to be far more accommodating. Not including dairy in one or two dishes really isn't that much of an ask. read more

All of our food was delicious, especially the samosas, the chili tikka paneer, the stuffed naan, the aloo gobi and the mulligatawny. We walked in for a late dinner and lucked out, getting the last open table. The service was impeccable and they even gave us complimentary aperitifs at the end of our meal. So full, so happy. It's out of the way of the other restaurants in the area and is always busy. I assume it's mainly locals that eat there and it's nice that it's not full of tourists. I was so excited to sample Indian food in London, and this warm and cozy restaurant did not disappoint. The shrimp curry and naan were perfect. The palak paneer was presented as a side dish; not the pureed spinach I am used to state-side, but still good. Hubby liked the tandoor chicken (and he is not a huge fan of this cuisine.) Absolutely my favorite Indian restaurant!! Great food, exceptional staff!! Chicken tikka Marsala is my favorite here and this place has now become my gauge of good Indian food. If it doesn't match up to this place it's not good enough. I always make it a point to eat here when passing through London. read more
