We decided after 35 years that we needed to get rid of our old carpet and broken tile flooring. After going to many flooring stores we heard about Paradise Flooring and after going in and meeting with Lance we knew we had to purchase from them. From the first time we went in, there was no pressure whatsoever for us to purchase. It is a small locally owned business with few employees. They are there to educate you and keep your prices down. They do not have their own installers but have 4 different ones that they recommend or you can choose your own. We recommend that you meet with and get quotes from a few different installers untill you find the one that matches you and has the right price. We purchased the Metrofloor Engage in "Mango". It was a blessing in disguise that the big box store where I originally ordered my flooring told me my shipment would be about 2 months delayed. I started to stress. However, I went to Paradise Flooring and they helped me pick out beautiful vinyl planks and soundproofing underlayment that has a very high IIC rating (which my condo requires). To be honest, I didn't think I could afford Paradise Flooring because it was a specialty store and thought big box stores would have better pricing. Well I was completely wrong. My flooring, was a tad bit more expensive, but it is so much more beautiful than I ever expected. Yes they have high end flooring, but they also have affordable selections as well. Beyond my gorgeous flooring was the exceptional customer service that Carol and Courtney gave to me from day one. As a remodel newbie, I was at a loss. They were so patient with me and gave me so much help and were honest about how long delivery was actually going to take. And to my pleasant surprise, my flooring came in about 1 week earlier. They never turned up their nose at my paltry budget and even took the time to talk to my installer on how to lay down that particular type of flooring. I wish I had just come here first and avoided the headache of dealing with stores that just don't care or are simply incompetent. I feel like I wasted so much time! He is a great listener and has a ton of experience and knowledge about flooring, and also about home remodeling. I was renovating a condo that had 5 different kinds of flooring. It was a mess and I didn't know where to start! Lance walked me through all of my options and gave me great advice. I was working on a budget and juggling painting, electrical, appliances and all other renovation issues. If you are looking to purchase flooring, this will be the last yelp review you need to read. I have done all the homework for you. GO TO PARADISE FLOORING! Great selection, lowest prices and most importantly, excellent customer service! If that's not convincing enough, let me tell you how I came to this conclusion (might wanna grab some popcorn). It started out as new flooring for my kitchen remodel but then evolved into new flooring for the entire house. After calling/visiting 10+ flooring stores, one of them being a relative's store (with a "family discount" offered), Dan at Paradise Flooring offered the lowest price from the start. I purchased the Metroflor Engage Genesis 1200 series. Customer service throughout was top notch, phone calls and emails were always answered promptly. A few boxes arrived damaged but Lance was quick to take care of it. To save money, we decided to install it ourselves. Installation was suprising easy except around doorjams-I'm a stay at home mom with no flooring experience. Lance and Dan gave good advice and tips on how to make installation go smoother. Dan even came to the house after work to drop off a FREE flooring tool and offered to help us rip out the old carpet. Talk about excellent customer service! You can definitely tell they are a locally owned and operated company. But as we all know, it can't all be good. So here's the bad. My new floor looks and feels amazing, so amazing that I can't stop looking at it. Dinner is going to be late again, sorry fam. read more

Worst customer service that I have ever received! I went in to buy stair nosing that would match my client's flooring. When they found out that I only wanted one piece, the salesman told me to go somewhere else to find it. As I started to walk out, he called me back, saying, "If you're gonna get that upset about it, you can look in this bin to see if we have it." At that point the manager comes up and whispers in his ear, "Don't waste your time helping him, he's only gonna buy one thing." I was literally the only customer in the place. Seriously, these people suck! They obviously don't care about the customer, or service. They are motivated by one thing, and one thing only...your money. I will never go back, and will tell anyone who is interested that they should avoid this place, at all costs! WORST SERVICE EVER! read more

This review is long overdue... we completed our whole home renovation throughout 2020 and had a challenging time finding flooring that were both high quality and met the aesthetic we wanted for our home. After going to various flooring suppliers and comparing various samples we chose the metroflor brand from Paradise flooring and were really happy with the results. We had another large area to floor and with budget constraints we went with a name brand flooring but a lower tier material. A few weeks after installation we noticed the flooring starting to push up at the joints and it got noticeably worse with time. After a lot of back and forth between our contractor and the flooring company and the name brand flooring company not taking any responsibility for their product we were credited for the labor and materials and were back at square one. We came back to Paradise Flooring and Nelson and Lance really helped us to find a flooring material that looked comparable but was superior in quality to the faulty flooring. They also gave suggestions for a more successful installation and were able to work within our budget. A big Mahalo to Paradise Flooring for taking a frustrating situation and proving why they are such a reputable and awesome customer oriented business! You need to check out Paradise Flooring when looking to remodel or build. Owner Lance is a Civil Engineer. So he's knowledgeable as well as super friendly and caring. I thought it was just for homes, but he does a good job, with good pricing, for business and building owners too. You will get a lot better attention, advice and follow-up than the big box stores. I'm a licensed architect. When I renovated my apartment two years ago, I heard this company from a friend. My contractor friend is helping on my apartment project and went down the place with me. The product is decent; however, the Owner of the company and his staff had a very bad attitude during the transaction. I'd in the design industry over 15 years and have never seen anyone, especially the owner, had such a bad attitude to design profession and the contractor. I average have 8 to 12 residential projects a year. Although the product itself is quite good, I'd never recommended this company to any of my client and contractors that I know in town. Later on I looked up their review on the website. I found they already got more than one complaint from customers to BBB and they got a 'D' rating in BBB. Lately, I just found out they have change their business name to PARADISE FLOORING in one major industry trade show. Same owner, same arrogant attitude. If a business is building up repetition and good will, do you think they will change the business name and pretend a different company? Unfortunately the minimum rate is one star. If possible, I would give this company a negative rating. read more

We used Paradise Flooring for a remodel project on Kauai. They were extremely professional, worked well with our local contractor and provided our flooring product on time and as promised. The staff, managers and owner were very helpful and patient with our decision process. We received professional recommendations from the owners themselves on the everyday care of our product, which included the correct cleaner to use on our particular floor and how to use it. We are currently designing another home here on Kauai and expect to use Paradise Flooring again for our new home. I rarely write a review but just had to post about the great experience that I had with Paradise Flooring. From the clean showroom and warehouse to the knowledgeable, friendly staff, my first impressions were good. The combination of product quality and pricing was the best value of all that I shopped. The owner took a sincere, personal interest in making sure that I was satisfied every step of the way. My project was a two story including two stair cases and two landings so there was a lot of detail in the finish work. The crew did a marvelous job in leveling and laying the floor and the final result really turned out beautifully. I've had it in for over 6 months and it looks brand new. It's easy to clean and very durable. Having had many such projects done on my various homes over the years I can easily say this was one of the best home improvement investments that I've made and Paradise Flooring did a superb job.
