I'm convinced that whoever develops this chain's recipes has desensitized taste buds. What they are selling does not match the typical California palette (thinking spicy versus mild local Mexican or Mediterranean food). I've spent my whole life eating local food, and even the "mild" chicken biryani is about medium spicy. Be careful with this if your taste buds are not desensitized, and you don't need a truckload of spices and raw onions to taste anything. That said, the biryani is flavorful, and the food didn't make me sick, so I'm giving them 4 stars. We took our friends who were visiting us to Paradise on Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were all starving as went right after church. Got good seating and very greeted well and food came in super fresh and hot too. We ordered gobi Manchurian & chicken tikka for starters and than veg kadhai and chicken labadar for entree with 5 garlic naan and than last but not the least veg biryani, chicken biryani and mutton biryani. The best lunch special in town! Yummy choices of curries along with naan, dal and rice at $12-13 is really hard to beat. I am glad they have finally started lunch specials again after not serving them since Covid. Hands down the best naan and best vegetable biryani in Bay Area. I am a regular here and can 100% recommend the food here. You usually can't go wrong with paneer tikka masala or kadhai paneer. Their egg curry and malai kofta is good too. I first found this place while doing a DoorDash pickup, and the smell of spices hit me the second I walked in it was amazing. I've only had Indian food once before and never craved it again until that night! We finally came back to try it, and wow the chicken lollipop was a 10/10, especially with that light, citrusy green chutney. The garlic naan was soft, airy, and perfectly toasted. I even tried the goat dum biryani for the first time & it was super flavorful! I just wish they had a no-spice option, but my fiancé loved the heat. On top of the food being amazing, the customer service was on point. Our server kept checking in, refilling our waters, and making sure we had everything we needed. It honestly felt like I was a guest in someone's home instead of just another customer which is a comforting feeling. The restaurant itself was really clean and peaceful inside, with big comfy booths and plenty of space between tables, so it didn't feel crowded at all. The price was very affordable for everything we ordered. Because I couldn't get a true no-spice option for my meal, I'd give this place a 4/5 for my personal preference but everything else about this restaurant is a solid 5/5. Awesome customer service from this restaurant! I ordered for pickup at 9pm on Sunday. Hit delays unfortunately and got delayed. I called the restaurant to tell them I will reach after 10pm. But they close at 10pm. I managed to reach at 10.10pm and (I wish I remember the name) and one of the guys was waiting outside to hand off the package as the restaurant was closed! The chicken dum biryani is delicious. However, it's not the same as before. I wish they added some fried onions on top. The flavor profile is different and not spicier more of a masala taste than the true spicy biryani flavor. The service was great. But though the restaurant's name has Biryani in it, they did complete injustice to the paneer dum biryani. Note: Spice levels are high, if you're spicy tolerance is low be prepared. Chicken Biriyani: One of the best biriyani in the area, the chicken has a lot of flavor that goes well with the rice. This dish can be enjoyed dine in and takeout, so there's options to enjoy the dish. There isn't much of a taste difference between bone-in and boneless and highly recommend boneless for the convenience factor. Butter Chicken: The taste is delicious. The dish is well seasoned and very savory. It's best enjoyed with butter naan so don't forget to order that. Egg Curry: Another great dish, super spicy and well flavored. One of my personal favorite dishes because of how good it is. Gongura Chicken: A more unique dish, gongura has a more sour taste that's hard to describe. The dish hits differently than the others and is a great addition to the meal. Definitely worth a try if you haven't tried a dish with gongura before. read more

Amazing biryani, great price!! We tried the vegetarian biryani (I know!) and it was fantastic. I wasn't expecting so much flavor since there were only vegetables, but it might be one of the best biryanis I have had. The rice was well cooked and the masala was absolutely spot on. Extremely Disappointing Experience at Paradise Biryani. I ordered it TOGO. I wish there was an option to give zero stars. As a hardcore biryani lover, I was really looking forward to trying the Vijayawada Boneless Chicken Biryani at Paradise. Sadly, visiting on a Thursday was a huge mistake. The biryani was completely bland and tasted like it had been microwaved from some leftover batch made weeks ago. For ~17$ I expected something worthy. Instead, I got an unappetizing plate of food with excessive artificial coloring that ruined the whole experience. Honestly, biryani is not just a dish; it's an emotion, and what I received was a complete insult to it. If you're planning to visit, I'd strongly recommend avoiding this place on weekdays. Personally, after trying so many biryani places. Paradise Biryani @ Milpitas location is the one we keep coming back to. We usually go for the Dum biryani (family pack combo) + Chicken 65/Gobi Manchurian. This usually is like 2.5 meal, so not a bad deal. Their service for pickup is usually ~20 mins, which isn't bad. Have been to their Sunnyvale location a lot of times so it was time to visit their new Milpitas location. Have been to this place only twice as it is located little further from the main street, where there are lot of shops. Ordered just biryani and found it ok. It should be little more spicy but we didn't find it that spicy. But we were hungry so just ate it. Biryani comes with Salan and raita. Both were good. It was really crowded the first time and not so crowded the next time. Best thing about this place is they are open till late on Friday and Saturday night so you can go there for mid-night food or late dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is friendly.
