A friend insisted we go here for an Indian dinner tonight and upon realizing it's a food truck, I went reluctantly because I wanted to sit and chat in peace. To my pleasant surprise, everything we tried was delicious and there were plenty of tables to sit and eat comfortably. We tried - Amritsari Kulcha, Amritsari Chhole, Special Dal, Butter Naan, Paneer Makhanwala, Rice. Everything was tasty, paneer was soft. Naan was soft and pretty great too. The kulcha had a generous stuffing of potatoes spiced with onions. The dal was homestyle, not rich at all. And the Chana was the right color. Rice could have been fresher but not a deal breaker. read more

Tried Tiranga 47 food truck recently (same square as Swaraj). Service was quick, but the food was a big letdown overall. We ordered Kurkuri Bhindi, Paneer Kathi Roll, Malai Soya Chaap, and Chole Kulche. The Kurkuri Bhindi was the only highlight - flavorful and crunchy. The Paneer Kathi Roll came wrapped in a whole naan with tikka, cabbage, mayo, and green chutney - very ordinary and lacking punch. The Malai Soya Chaap had an overwhelming amount of mayo with no real marinade or flavor - just bland and saucy. The worst was the Chole Kulche. Kulche felt store-bought, like basic small naan, and the chole were overly salty with zero depth of flavor. Extremely disappointed with the food. Definitely not coming back. read more

*Vegetarian Foodie Review* It's a food truck with good seating options located right next to Swaraj. The seating area is pretty neat and well-cleaned often. They have a huge iPad for self-ordering, and your name gets called out when your items are ready. It was our first time and service was fairly quick. We ordered the "Amritsari Kulcha with Choley" and it was just average. The flavors didn't stand out and I have had better versions elsewhere. We have been trying to find a good Indian Restaurant, we found this place, his food is Amazing. I just found out that it depends if it is from the South of India or the North, foods are somehow different. His food is not spicy also not oily and the Owner is very friendly. Come here for a slice of indian street food galore between two indian food trucks. I saw how packed the lines was one time passing by and wanted to try after a friend said it was bomb Indian food. First, the Tomato Chicken Curry--it was a, tangy, sauced up curry. The tomato base was smooth and chicken flavorful. Tandoori Chicken was packed with flavor and smoky perfection, packed with charred bites. This was grilled well. High key great for a snack if im ever nearby. Garlic naan was simple, could have been more garlicky but good enough. This place is screaming "I'm-coming-back-for-this" vibes. Outside seating, easy to order tablets, popular food spot. read more

I was really excited to try this because the photos looked so great. I've ordered the Chicken Fauji and Butter chicken. Both were just okay, lacked the flavor that the photos delivered. I wish it had been a bit spicier. That being said, I'm wondering if it's better when you go there. Also, it's possible that it was just the meat dishes, because the choley and the kulcha look amazing. I'll probably give it one more try just to try those dishes. read more

I was getting hungry on my way back from a meeting and noticed a Food Truck by a gas station in Milpitas and decided to check it out. To my surprise it was the best chole bhature (Chick peas dish) I have ever had in the US. The quality and quantity was impeccable. This is a legit, genuine, Punjabi food truck that uses real tandoor within the food truck! My review is based of 2 incredible dishes that I ordered & tasted today: 1. Amritasari Chholey with Kulcha: Fantastically made with black chana (langaar style or similar). One of the best chholey dishes. Balanced spice-level, wholesome and filling! The kulcha was super fresh, very filling and well made. This dish can serve 2 adults. 2.Chicken with Naan: Amazing butter chicken! Perfectly seasoned, creamy and tandoori chicken pieces mixed in the gravy. The naan is amazing too! This dish can serve 2 adults as well. Again beautiful balance of spices. Please keep up this quality & quantity! You are going to be BIG DEAL if you maintain this consistently. I highly recommend!!! read more

We went to Swaraj as it is our favorite spot and found Tiranga 47. Thought we'll try their amritasari chole and kulcha and got a to go order. We were very disappointed. The chole were not white Garbanzo beans but the kala Channa. We would have ignored that if it wasn't so salty and that's all the flavor we could taste. Also the kulchas looked and tasted like pizza bread. Very disappointed. read more

We commute 30 minutes just for the food here, and it is always worth the trip! The Tandoori Soya Chaap and the Malai Soya Chaap are both absolutely marvelous - flavor explosions in every bite. Tried their Amritsari Chhole and Kulche and oh my god, chhole tastes like pure salt. So much over-powering taste of salt/spices that feels like you are only eating just a paste of spices. Could hardly eat 10% of the chhole and threw most of it away. Kulche wasn't as bad (still a bit salty) but nothing special. To the management: More spice does not mean more tasty. read more

We recently tried Tiranga 47 multiple times. The food is very delicious and every dish we tried standout. Also they make your order very fast. Every time I did a to go order it was done in under 20 min. So far we have tried Paneer Pakora, Paneer Kathi Wrap, Afgani Malai Chaap, Amritsari Kulcha with Choley, Onion Kulcha, Stuffed Kulcha and Khajoor Kher. Every dish was unique with a distinct taste. There Afgani Malai chaap and Paneer Kathi wrap is the best in entire Bay Area. Also the food is reasonably priced and to go packaging is awesome. We always look forward to order from Tiranga 47. Tried 1st time tonight with a friend familiar with this place . She ordered what vegetarian foods she thought we'd like and we did! (my husband and I are not vegetarian but wanted to try). Everything was tasty. My favorite was the fried okra! The chef was very friendly and accommodating especially with my not wanting anything that might be too spicy for me to handle but everything was just the right amount! Chef also brought us a dessert to try which I believe was made with dates and had bits of pistachios. Delicious! The food here tastes like it was prepared in a five star restaurant but yet it's all prepared and served from a food truck. I decided to order the paneer tikka wrap, kulcha, and Chloe. The food was piping hot, freshly made by a staff who are so welcoming and friendly. Additionally, I LOVE the Chutney. It's the cherry on top to the deliciously prepared food this truck provides its customers. I will certainly be returning to try more of the delicious items this truck offers.
