This update is just for the Apricot Delight. It was amazing! Especially the malai part of it.

I have craved for a roomali roti in the Bay Area and now we have it! I did a take out order - it was super yummy! They gave fresh cut onions with it - loved the food! Chicken was very flavor full. I will need to go to this place and eat in person - to get the taste of fresh roomalo roti!

This place is open till 1 AM. The late you go the packed it is!! Party town... several other food trucks in that plaza. Irani chai- just wow.. rich with milk, spices and some sugar. Just felt perfect after a day full of activities. Bun maska and bun malai orders were flying out around us. We got chicken noodles. We were informed that this will take 15 min to prep. Noodles were really good- chewy, enough sauced, plenty of chicken. Bun shami was juicy, well spiced, not excessively spicy, perfect with mint chutney. Masala fries were fresh, hot, crispy, tangy with the dry spice. The garlic dipping sauce was phenomenal. Will be back here to try bun maska, roomali roti and chicken 65, Lokhmi, shawarma and desserts. They were extremely popular with fellow patrons. Parking can be tough due to popularity. Tip- Park in the Apna mandi parking lot and walk over. Order at the counter, take the buzzer, grab chai and find a table. Chit chat with your party and food will be ready. It takes a little while if they are slammed (which was the case at 10:45 pm on a Tuesday!!!)

Deccan Morsels opened where Gonutz with Donuts was. Interior totally refurnished with new decor and seating. Ordered at counter, paid, got food/chai 10ish minutes later. Made to order. Open kitchen. Offerings (South India): drinks, breads, food combos.. Sips: Irani chai (2.99) -originated from Persian immigrants, fused with Indian culinary tradition. Creamy texture. Luxurious taste. Made with strong black tea, rich milk solids, cardamon, ginger...Sweetened with sugar, condensed milk. Deliz. Bites: Chicken 65 with rumali roti(13.99) -ck. 65 invented in Chennai, India in 1965. Chicken pieces Marinated in yogurt, eggs, curry leaves, flour, spices, red chilies. Deep fried slightly. Crunchy texture, moist center. Chiliness slight. Rumali roti is a multi layered flatbread. I torn pieces off, wrapped chicken pieces, onions. Ate it like a wrap. 4.5 stars Worthy! Quality/Quantity-Good Can eat as a snack or light meal..

Amazing chai! Vegetarian options were delicious. Keep in mind, this is typically a hangout spot for men.

Deccan Morsels is a chain Irani Chai place that's known for its high quality chai for a reasonable price. Be prepared to wait in line for a while and expect for it to be crowded, but know that the chai and snacks are worth it. The ambiance inside is nice and clean. The chai is flavorful and authentic - it pairs well with the samosas and maska bun. I've come back here multiple times and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a weekend or post-work pick me up!

The place was much smaller the last time that I went. Now, they expanded their dining area. It really looks exquisite inside making it really good to hangout. Very loud during the afternoon though. I've never seen businesses pull off like that. It seems to me that they're doing a successful job overall. I have tried their samosas and really like the Irani Chai, but definitely should try the Masala fries in the future!

This is hands down our favorite place for Irani chai -- rich, flavorful. It's open until midnight, which makes it a great late-night stop. We absolutely love the Chicken 65 and Paneer 65 -- both are consistently tasty and well-spiced. The prices are very reasonable too, so you can enjoy great food without burning a hole in your pocket. Perfect for light bites or a casual and one of our togo spot in Bay Area !

The biryani here tasted like a biryani my mom had made at home but unfortunately some of the chicken pieces were undercooked. Hopefully it was an exception and I'm planning to try the goat one next time

What a cute little spot! The chandeliers were so pretty, and the whole place had such a cozy vibe. Loved the ambiance! We ordered quite a few things, so here's the lowdown: Paneer roll - This came stuffed with loads of paneer wrapped in a soft rumali roti. I miss good rumali roti, so this was a treat! As a vegetarian, I stuck to paneer, but the chicken and shawarma options looked amazing if that's your thing. They also served a decent portion of fries on the side--crispy on the outside, soft inside, with a touch of masala(spices). Just perfect! The roll itself tasted good--not amazing. My partner liked it, though! My major gripe was the red food color--didn't love how it looked. That aside, it wasn't oily(love that), super filling, and came with a ranch-style dip that paired perfectly with both the roll and the fries. Totally worth it! Bun maska - OMG, this was the star for me! Soft, buttery bread served warm with just the right amount of sweetness. It was mild and so satisfying--I'd happily come back just for this! Whether you dip it in chai or eat it on its own, it's such a treat. Bun malai - This one wasn't warm, and the malai was a thinner consistency, as they kindly explained beforehand. It's a little sweeter too. It was decent, but for me, the bun maska was unbeatable. Still, worth trying if you like sweeter treats. Chai - We tried both the Zafrani chai and Irani chai. Hands down, Zafrani chai was the winner! It had the perfect sweetness, and we both absolutely loved it. If you're a tea lover, skip the free chai at Apni Mandi and try this instead--it's so worth it. The Irani chai was less sweet but still great. My top pick? Zafrani chai all the way. 10/10. The place was packed with people, but the staff did a fantastic job keeping up with the crowd. Parking can be tricky even though there are plenty of spots, especially since it's near Starbucks and Apni Mandi. Highly recommended! It's a great spot for a quick stop, and the food, service and vibe make it worth a visit. Definitely give it a try!

Quick trip down to Deccan Morsels and we ordered (just a couple of folks ahead of us and as the sun set the line just got serpentine) the Bun Maska and Irani Chai--both were absolutely magical! The Bun Maska was a true delight, with a warm, pillowy-soft bun slathered generously with rich, creamy butter. It was perfectly toasted on the outside, making for a wonderful mix of textures with each bite. The Irani Chai was equally impressive, with a deep, aromatic flavor that's unique to authentic Irani-style tea. It was rich, slightly sweet, and had a smooth, velvety finish--perfectly complementing the Bun Maska and transporting us right to the streets of India (Hyderabad, Mumbai etc). Deccan Morsels is an express-style spot with limited seating, ideal for a quick, flavorful bite. It can get busy, and finding parking during peak hours can be a bit challenging, though there are spots in the surrounding shopping complex. Lines can form during rush times, but the quality of the food makes it well worth the wait. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a taste of authentic, flavorful bites in Fremont!

Super casual spot with a chill sit-out vibe (just remember to clean up after yourself). The Irani chai was just okay, a bit too milky for my taste. But the Chicken 65 with roomali roti totally hit the spot, tasty and not too spicy, which was perfect. Bun maska was the real MVP though soft, fluffy, and just perfect.

It's just a little cold in there for some reason. We started with a watermelon spritz and the inji-puli lotus appetizer since we'd never tried anything like that, and it was very yummy and had such a nice crispy but soft texture. It was also a good portion for all four of us. We got the goat curry and the chettinad spice vegetables, and a few parathas to share. We were afraid it wouldn't be enough but the parathas are actually very filling, and also have a really great texture of both crispy and soft, and delicious flavor. The curries were good, could have used a bit more salt but good spice. The stars of the show were the desserts - this deserves its own section because omg I'm still thinking about the desserts!!! We got the gulab jamun brûlée - an amazingly well done take on creme brûlée with a perfect top, easy to crack and beautifully flavored. The filling was amazing and sweet and so so yummy. They also were kind enough to give us a complimentary chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing. I'm generally not too impressed by chocolate but the quality of this cake was phenomenal with perfect sweetness and richness. I need these two again !! Definitely recommend coming here for an occasion.

Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value.
